CHICKEN QUESADILLA ($18) - NO SOUR CREAM
    Elena N.

Date: Tuesday, March 17th, 2026 Meal: Dinner Takeaway Time Placed: around 8pm Picked Up: about 15+ mins later Ordered Thru: their website *CHICKEN QUESADILLA ($18) - NO SOUR CREAM *CHIPOTLE CHICKEN ENCHILADAS ($18.50) - NO SOUR CREAM, Refried Beans *TAX ($3.18) The hubby and I were picking up food in the area. I wanted seafood in a bag, but he did not. He decided to grab chevys instead. I easily placed a takeout order online. Note, you cannot tip when you place an order on their website so we just tipped in cash on pickup. Everything was kinda as expected. Tho the quesadilla seemed a lil small in the takeout container. For some reason, overall, it did not seem like a lot of food for over $40. Maybe more worth it if you dine in since I believe you also get free chips and salsa. For takeaway, it's just okay. Best chips and salsa
    Susan L.

I love Chevy's chips and salsa... First time at the Fairfield location and it did not disappoint. There was plenty of parking and the ambience is festive. Our server was very nice. I forgot to ask his name. My favorite is their flautas plate. I ordered the 6 pieces vs. 4 pieces. It came with refried beans, rice and yummy corn. I also had their Happy Hour pork belly with guacamole. The pork belly was crispy, but overcooked (dry). Luckily the guacamole gave it some moisture. If you're in Fairfield, Chevys is worth a stop.

    A huge burrito!

I don't know why, but the tortilla chips at this location are better than the other Chevy's. Maybe it's because they make them fresh right there in the dining room? I was really happy with my last visit. I sat at the bar and the bartender was super friendly and checked up on me during my meal. I tipped her a little extra she was so nice. Everything was fresh colorful, and tasted great. I managed to eat the afrementioned chips, salsa, beans, rice, garnishes, and a massive burrito. It was a lot of food, and I felt in the parking lot on my way back to the car..., along with my guilt and shame. Well, I probably won't be back for a while after my gastronomic, grand-tour, into gluttony, but it was worth it. I'd do it all over again for those delicious chips and that ginormous burrito!

I feel bad leaving this review! I love chevys but I feel like their quality is going downhill. Their proteins tasted really old. I wasn't a fan of the shrimp, the carnitas tasted like bbq brisket, the chicken was suspicious, and the steak felt like it was already digested...

    TWO ITEM COMBO
    Ed S.

We went to Fairfield with a family and decided to have lunch at Chevys. Since it's the holiday season, the place was very festive, decorated with Christmas lights and trees. I decided to take their lunch combo, picking two items from their selection. I chose the salad and quesadilla. The service is fast however I was disappointed with the lunch combo I picked. The quesadilla is not generous in size and the meat is not heavy in size either. I saw only a few cut pieces inside. For the price I pay, I didn't enjoy or feel satisfied. Maybe I picked the wrong items or combo lunch but I will try something else if I come back again.

It's been years since I've been here. The last time was not great but I love the margaritas and the chicken flautas so I decided to go for it. When we came in nobody greeted us, we stayed at the front for a good 3-4 minutes before anyone noticed they had a crowd at the front waiting for seats. Our server was nice but clearly busy... After surfing the menu we decided to share the flautas and the fajitas... the chicken flautas were soft, no crispy outer shell just a mushy flautas. But the dipping sauce was on point! Every bit as delicious as it was years ago. The fajitas were ok, the server brought us both tortillas which we appreciated... the chicken was good, not very many bell peppers but tons of onions. The steak was just ok. I wasn't a fan, I stuck with the chicken.

We were driving back from Sacramento and I noticed there was a Chevys on the way home in Fairfield. As I used to work for one back in the day in Pleasant Hill, it was nice to see there was still one around. The minute you walk in, you know you walked in to Chevys. We walked to the bar and had a seat there. They had great music playing, having a dance party in my seat. We saw that they had some awesome choices for happy hour, both drinks and food. Some of the items on the happy hour menu aren't listed in the actual menu. We were greeted and the bartender was nice, nothing over and beyond but he could make an awesome Jalapeño and cucumber spicy margarita! My second drink was a Paloma, that was delicious too!!! They kept the chips and salsa coming and they are perfectly thin, crunchy and salty. The salsa had a chipotle or fire taste to it. For the appetizers we chose to have the Birria tacos, and they were graciously nice to make them with their delicious flour tortilla. I know what you might be thinking.... It's Mexican American food; how good could they be? Well let me tell you... they are so tassssty! The second item we ordered was the Mexican pizza which was huge but it just tasted like black canned beans... I had to look really close for the ground beef. Each one of us had 3 drinks each and two appetizers and we paid $100 including tip and tax. That is pretty good when the drinks were so good! The happy hour menu has appetizers and drinks everywhere from $4 to $10. You can't beat those prices anywhere... oh BTW... happy hour is 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM EVERYDAY

Probably the best the Chevy's I've ever been. It didn't start off this way by any means as we chose to get seated at the bar for a little happy hour treats. We waited for about 20 minutes to get some service. All we had was chips, salsa and nothing else. I do need to point out that they were very short staffed and only one guy working about 10 tables. We were thinking of leaving but I did ask the hostess Shantel if we can be seated in the regular dining area in hopes of getting served a little quicker. We waited another 15 minutes and nothing and that's when our hostess Shantel noticed us waiting again so she took it upon herself to get our orders in. Fajitas came out real fast and was sizzling hot. The fajitas were well seasoned and just not salty and dry. Shantel definitely turned our dining experience into a very good one. 4.7 stars

This review was almost a 3 star review but our server, Robert saved it. I came here on a Friday afternoon with my toddler, not expecting there to be 3 graduation parties going on at the same time with large parties of 8 people or more, they were BUSY. It took at least 20 minutes for us to be seated, I honestly almost left. But I haven't had chevy's in years. I was determined to sit down and eat. Our original server was extremely busy, so Robert took over. Thank God he did. Our food came out on a timely manner and so did our drinks. We almost had a terrible experience until he took over. I got a taco salad and my daughter got the corn dog with corn from the kids menu. Everything was great. My daughter was not a fan of her meal, but we both devoured the chips and salsa.

Chevy's has always been a favorite of mine for many years. However, this place carried a chill'ing feel upon being seated under a windy vent. We had arrived for an early meal around 4:30pm to beat the Dinner rush. Yet it still took 30min to order our meal & another 30min to get it. The drinks came when the chips & salsa arrived. Seems they were short staffed with a half filled place. When the food arrived we were disappointed. The meat was dry & the refried beans tasted old. We were really surprised about the entire experience since any location seemed to have a great following. This is the 1st time it seemed off. Hoping things turn around with more assistance from the Food Servicers wanted sign at the front.

This review is specific to their Sunday buffet. 10/10. The variety was awesome and all quality. Ceviche, pozole, tacos with fresh tortillas, churros, pan dulce, fruit, chilaquiles, and all the lunch entrees you would expect including a whole dish of their sweet corn pudding. Sooo good - I got a scoop of that with every plate. Honestly the pozole was my favorite. So tangy, savory, and delicious with all the fixings. All the stations were clean and service was prompt. A bit pricey where it will be a special occasion, but worth the money for sure. Part of the price is that it includes champagne so if you don't drink... Overall good value.

Unfortunately, the food is where things fell apart. When I walked in, I asked if they had a super burrito since I didn't see it on the menu. The gentleman taking my order said they did, so I ordered a carne asada super burrito. A regular burrito on the menu was listed at $8.99, but my super burrito came out to a little over $16 after tax. I also noticed Yelp lists the super burrito at $10.99, so maybe the prices have changed, but that's still a pretty big jump from the regular burrito. The burrito itself was huge, but after the first few bites, I was honestly disappointed. The carne asada was unusually stringy and fatty, which isn't something I've ever experienced with carne asada burritos before. I kept eating, expecting to get to the guacamole, sour cream, and salsa, but by the halfway point I decided to cut the burrito open. It turned out almost all of those ingredients were packed into the very bottom instead of being distributed throughout. The guacamole also had a sour taste that didn't seem right. I also noticed the burrito I received looked nothing like the photos posted here on Yelp, so I'm not sure if the recipe has changed since those pictures were taken. As someone who loves burritos and rarely passes one up, this was, unfortunately, one to forget. The free fountain drink and chips were a nice bonus, but they couldn't make up for the burrito itself. I genuinely wish this restaurant the best because the staff were excellent, but the food just didn't live up to my expectations.

So after taking my order he told me to come back in 15 minutes - like standing there and waiting was going to cost them money - how rude. Another bad 1st - being told I can't stay and wait for my order at a place I ordered from - WTF? Also the prices are too high - I can get burritos in San Francisco for $12 and they're great - as I did yesterday at a street fare - I thought $7.95 was too cheep for a burrito - but $18 in a small town? The burrito better be best tasting ever - writing this while I sit in my car. When I picked up my order there were two women who were friendly and nice to me - so I added a star. The burrito itself - the beef had a excellent taste and the refried beans were good ( yes - I have had bad refried beans before ) so the burrito tasted good but on the bland side as no salsa was inside the burrito. Etc when the first guy took my order and told me jalapeños were an extra $2 I said no to the extra but did request extra salsa - all I got was a small - very small container - I like my Mexican food spicy - and this was not - tho had the potential to be great with some heat - spice - the salsa/ more of a sauce than salsa - had an excellent flavor but no the mild side for me but if had a lot of it - it would have worked as it did have a good to excellent flavor - so it gets only two stars - had excellent potential to be great - but initial bad service from the male staff and charging for jalapeños and very little salsa killed it - can not recommend

Their tacos, quesa tacos, and quesadillas are SO good! My friend hired them for her birthday party in Fairfield for 2 hours and we could not get enough. I was so full after my first plate but wanted more! They have a whole chips and salsa and condiments cart along with their order up for fresh tacos, quesadillas and other options! You can also get rice and beans too. It was definitely a hit. The two staff working were so nice, friendly, and patient with us! At the end they also give you all of the leftover meats and food and pack it up for you too. What a way to make an event enjoyable and all in one! I got multiple carne asada, el pastor tacos, quesa tacos, and quesadillas! Added all of the onions and sauces, yum!
