They looked like people that don't know their alcohol limits and they were getting very wasted intentionally. I saw some people throwing up in front of the restaurant. Def not my thing but I guess some could call this "fun". Fun fact - the bar that was here before chi chi called Sideline was full of people like this. I witnessed several fights outside the bar and bouncers kicking people out, etc. The Thursday crowd was pretty chill. There were a couple of families that were visiting for dinner over some light beer. Service here is excellent. Food is okay too! Not too expensive either. The games are fun but the chatting feature on the tablet is pretty stupid imo. People typing out of desperation. It's basically a Korean version of Earl's and Joey's. Food was pretty authentic as in authentic Korean fusion food. They sold yukhwe which is raw beef marinated in sesame oil with a raw egg yolk on top. My friends (regulars at this establishment) already knew and ordered this dish casually and I felt a bit worried and iffy about the food safety/handling but when I saw that it came out semi frozen, it made me a bit more at ease. went here for dinner on a Wednesday at around 7 and there were two other groups there so wasn't too busy. The service was fast and friendly and the ordering tablet is super helpful to get more water or whatever etc instantly. We thought all of the food was mid at best. The corn cheese was a bit watery and oily and I didn't feel like the cheese was sticking to the corn. The udon was probs the best thing we ordered, and the chicken was pretty alright as well, the fries that came with it were pretty mid though, not very crispy or salty or tasty. Another viral instagram food blogger recommendation fail. The food is just not great. We ordered 4 dishes and all 4 were mediocre at best. The corn cheese had a very wet consistency and the ddeolbokki lacked flavor, although the rice cakes were cooked well. The "dumplings" were soggy and filled with only japchae noodles. My friends and I had such a great time here! The food was delicious and the vibes were also really nice for a random Tuesday night. We are defiantly going to visit again on a weekend. We ordered a couple of items and shared. My friends said the fried chicken (Chi Chi Original Crispy Wing) was okay, but they loved everything else. The cheddar fries were delicious and the rose ttoekbokki was so chewy and yummy. I would highly recommend adding cheese on top, but the soup itself is also very creamy. You could order a side of noodles to throw in there as well. They also shared the spicy porkbelly with cheese which they loved and would recommend. The yogurt soju is always my favorite, but I also tried the apple this time which was good as well. The beer cups come with lines along it so you can make your own soju/beer combinations which I really liked. My favorite part was the tablet on the table which has lots of fun drinking games. Chi Chi Korean Pocha is the newest Korean bar in Bellevue. It took over the old Sideline Bar in Factoria Loehman's Plaza. My friends and I came here this past week to check it out. We arrived at 8:30pm and while they were busy, we were able to get a table for 10 people. Note that they do not take reservations for Fridays and Saturdays and so it is first come, first serve for those days. For our first round, we ordered the SOMAC (Soju/Beer) tower (+$62), the BONELESS CHICKEN (+$19), the PORK BELLY WITH CHEESE (+ approx $24), the TTEOKBOKKI WITH BEEF (+ approx $24), and the KIMCHI TOFU STEW ($?). The SOMAC was smooth and filled about 12-15 small cups. It's pricy considering it's just soju and beer, but it was refreshing. Other Korean bars I've been to charge about $50 for a Somac tower. The BONELESS CHICKEN was disappointing. It just tasted like chicken tenders and was served with fries and ketchup. The menu description said it was supposed to come with spicy and so we asked the waitress, and she took it back to the kitchen to ask the chef. The chef said it just comes with ketchup and so the waitress offered to bring a side of spicy sauce instead, which was quite good. Our companions at the next table got the SPICY WINGS and those looked much better than the boneless chicken. The PORK BELLY WITH CHEESE was well-flavored and spicy, but was mostly just onions and mushrooms. It barely had any pork belly- for the price, this was definitely not worth it. The TTEOKBOKKI with BEEF was the best of the three dishes, but was also expensive for the amount of food you get. The beef was tender and the gochujang sauce was less sweet than your typical tteokbokki at other Korean restaurants. The KIMCHI TOFU STEW was probably the second best dish as it had strong kimchi flavor and a good variety of ingredients in it. It came boiling hot in a stone pot. Each table has a numbered screen. This screen allows you to order from the menu but also play games, pay the bill, and chat with other tables. In reference to the games, you can play virtual games (skill or chance games) against other tables for a selected drink which ranges from $7.99 (Cass beer) -$16.99 (soju). If you win, the table you won against pays for the drink. However, if you lose, you pay for their drink. So you can definitely rack up quite a bill just playing games. These games are optional though and by no means required. They also have occasional virtual games where the bar offers a non-alcoholic drink for free and you compete against the other tables for it- this is a zero-risk game if you don't want to risk having to buy another table a drink. Here's another tip- CHECK YOUR BILL because they charged for a bottle of Cass beer that we didn't order, but the waiter had brought to our table and opened. When we said we didn't order it, he said he couldn't take it back because it was open (even though they opened it, not us). It is inexcusable to CHARGE US FOR THEIR MISTAKES. With all that said, the interior is pretty cool and the place is definitely vibing on a late weekend night. They have cool lights and are playing K-Pop YouTube videos in the background. The interior was clean, but the women's bathroom floor was strangely wet and needed to be serviced. They are open until 2am most days. My friends and I finally checked out this popular Korean pocha after we've been hearing so much about, and it lived up to the hype. The atmosphere was vibrant and lively, which was perfect for hanging out with friends. Most of the crowd was guys and a mix of girls, and it made for a really social vibe where meeting new people felt easy and fun. One of the coolest parts was the touch screen system at each table, where you can bid drinks and play games with other tables. It added an interactive twist that really brought everyone together. The staff were very friendly, attentive, and helpful in explaining how everything worked since it was our first time there. They even helped us adjust the plushies in the claw machine game, which was a fun extra! We only ordered soju, so I can't speak to the food, but it looked good. It would be even better if they added a dance floor and a DJ! With the great drinks, social energy, and music, a dance floor would really take the experience to the next level. Came here for a friend's birthday party on a Friday night. While there are some positive things there are also more than a few things that need work. First - I do appreciate their flexibility in accommodating not only a large group but a different time slot. My party of 20 (!!) moved our time slot up an hour and we were accommodated without issue. Their ability to to adapt and seat us was greatly appreciated. The ambiance here was also pretty nice but you should know it's definitely a club vibe. No windows and honestly I felt like this place was a cap hill establishment given how loud and vibrant it was. Not only was it overpriced (see picture descriptions for prices), the taste was mediocre (except for the wings which were very good). $8 for instant ramen, $24 for 8 wings?! For that they lose a star. Another star is lost for the poor/spotty service. The alcohol was certain flowing - when we ordered it, the drinks came out almost instantly. The food though took forever. We ordered food though their tablet system (which was convenient) but it took roughly 45-60 min to get served. That to me is inexcusable and loses another star. What's also weird is that I saw another Yelp review say they don't have table time limits? My party was basically forced out after 2 hours. Another positive is that the tablets can be used to challenge other tables to games. Loser pays for a prize - usually a bottle of soju - for the other table. This is a fun way to keep the experience exciting. All in all, if you want a typical club experience with a loud environment I'd go here. We came on the second day of soft opening (Saturday) so the menu was very limited. The food that we did try was not bad though. This place is definitely more for the fun vibes and drinks. No matter what time it is, they will keep the energy up with the music and whistles. One thing that was a bit shocking was the price of the somaek tower. For $60, this was the most expensive one I've seen in the area. So you better hope your table wins in the games lol. It was around 7pm when we arrived and at that time we were able to get a table for 12 instantly. Plenty of parking in the shared plaza so that is also a plus. My fav part was the chat room that you can message all the other tables in. So fun and I haven't seen that in any other restaurant before. When we asked to check in about the wait times or ask why they seated other tables first despite us being next on the waitlist, she would saying things like "nothing I can do" and brush us off. I don't think I've had an experience like the one I've had in this restaurant. It starts off with my group of three going here on a Friday weeknight around 6pm. The inside is dark but well-lit with lights that let you know this is a bar area. There's tons of seating, booth and bar ones included. There's loud music blasting, the bar has a lot of bottles on the shelves, and there's a fun mirror you can take selfies on and a stage that looks perfect for karaoke. Throughout my visit, it was empty at first but then every table filled and the place got gradually noisier as time went on. The servers are very kind and give you a quick introduction to the system if you haven't been there before. One of the fun things I saw is that the tablet has a chat where you can actually chat with other tables and even play games with them! I definitely was pretty shy when someone from another table said their name was also Vinh, but I love this concept of mingling with other tables, when most of us would rather keep to ourselves. For each one: - The sweet and spicy fried chicken came with tons of chicken wings and even more fries below them all. So much flavor on the wings, and they were piping hot and delicious! Favorite part of the meal for sure! Fries were just all right. - The kimchi fried rice was a bit heavy but I loved how there was a fried egg and some veggies inside for a balance on flavor profile that was more towards salty than savory. One order is enough for a table. - The seafood creamy udon was cheesy and hot; it was great! I wish there was more seafood though, the amount was pretty scarce and the clams hardly had any meat. -The pork was definitely better-tasting in the pork and spicy noodles dish than the noodles; the flavor profile wasn't something I expected in the dish and contributed to the overall saltiness of all the other dishes we had. - Portion sizes here don't look big but it can add up and, when you talk to your friends and other people, you might be eating a lot more than you think. Very unique experience here, and overall I loved the food a lot here despite the intense noise levels that are inevitable. This is one of the newer pocha places where a lot of my friends have visited, and I went here with some friends on a Wednesday, which was still fairly busy. You order at the iPads/kiosks in each table and they will deliver the food to you. I personally tried their crispy fried chicken, sweet and spicy fried chicken, creamy seafood udon, tteokbokki with beef and cheese, and takoyaki. The prices are fairly high for the food you get and the quality. The crispy fried chicken had some flavor but not sufficient for it to be a standalone dish without any dipping sauces. However, the sweet and spicy sauce fried chicken is really good, just a little bit on the saltier side. The creamy seafood udon is creamy but then they also made it very soupy, which is a bit strange. The seafood within is fairly fresh, which was nice. The tteokbokki is also soupy, but this one tastes good overall. It'd be good to have more beef that comes with the tteokbokki, for the price. The takoyaki was just a snack we wanted to get, but skip this. It is flavorless and did not really have enough sauce to counteract the dryness. I guess this is a drinking place so food is not emphasized? But the alcohol selection is not that wide and is on par with a typical sit-down restaurant. Service is good as they serve the food fairly quickly and check up on you once in a while. However, we did need to self serve a few things like bowls, utensils, and water, which I didn't have issues with. Overall, this is a so-so place for pocha and I have had better elsewhere. It is just that this is more conveniently located for friends in Seattle and Bellevue, while other places up north with better pocha like those in Lynnwood and Edmonds will be out of the way for a lot of people. read more

I was super excited to try Chi Chi after seeing many videos of it online. The idea of playing games against other tables to win bottles of soju seemed so fun and it seemed like a very cool atmosphere. However, I was a little disappointed when I did get to try it the other day. I went with a large group of about 15 people. They do not do reservations on Friday and Saturday and we were told to come early / join wait list early to get tables. Luckily last Friday was not super busy and our group was able to be accommodated at a reasonable time. First impression was that the lights and music were a little overstimulating? I had heard that they usually play good EDM or kpop mixes but the music was just not good until later in the night when they finally started playing those mixes. In my opinion, the food was not very good. We ordered the fried chicken, corn cheese, and seafood udon to share. The sauce on the fried chicken was good but the breading was super thick and not very crispy. The seafood udon tasted too fishy for all of our tastes. The corn cheese was literally just sweet corn and mozzarella cheese on top. It was missing the creaminess that other corn cheese typically has from the mayo. This place is also on the pricy side. It's $18 for a bottle of soju. The food items range from $20-25 and the portions felt small. Service was a bit of a miss for our table too. Out of all the tables in our group, we were the only ones without utensils. We had asked the staff for some a few times when they were bringing out the food but none came back. Eventually someone had chopsticks in their apron and just gave it to us. I think the atmosphere is pretty fun if you want to go somewhere to drink. I think the games are pretty fun to play. I have some mixed feelings about this place because it was really fun to go to with your friends, but for the price I'm not entirely sure about the value. I think the best thing here is the atmosphere! It's fun, very club-like and very LOUD when everyone gets there. The games are fun to play against each other and chatting with other tabs from the tablet feels funny but the whole experience is really fun. The service is okay. The servers we had were really nice, but all of the stuff was brought out really slowly and once it did come I would say the portion size did not meet the expectations of the price. It was a lot smaller than what we were expecting. The best thing we had was the rice cake dish in the picture below. I would get that again for sure! The other stuff we got was just okay. One of the dishes we got was the thinly sliced beef with veggies and there were no veggies just tofu which isn't what we were expecting so it was a little bit of a let down. I think the biggest factor for the rating was the value. This place is really expensive. A bottle of soju is $18. You can gamble against other tables to get one maybe, but I'm not sure how much value you get from paying so much for not a lot of drinks or food, especially because the food portion for the price was so expensive. Lastly, there was a time limit that we were not told about when we were sat down so just as an FYI the time limit was ~2.5 hours and they will come to your table to let you know you've met the limit and they will charge an extra $100 per hour you stay over. We were not told anything about a tumor or extra charge until we met that limit. I think that's a reasonable limit and total fine as a policy, just wish they told us when we sat down or maybe had it on their tablets. Overall, I would come back because it's a really fun place to go to, but i wouldn't go back more than once in a while because it's so expensive. read more
