I've been dining here for years, mom, aunt and I. I think after the pandemic and forward their food has been going down in quality and taste. Today, I had individual pizza, way too much cheese, but I should have asked for less. I found out the raspberry ice tea was a flavored syrup they put in the tea. Now maybe everywhere does, but this particular ice tea was weak and bitter. The cappuccino has gone down in quantity and up in price..I'll think twice ab going again.. Oh my gosh heaven sent pizza and pasta. People, family friends you must try thus joint. It's delicious, savory and home made. Where will you find homemade Pizza and pasta with all the right flavors and freshness???? Only at Chi Chi's pizza. The kids meals look pretty good too. Try the Cadillac Margarita.....it's smooth. OMG you have to try their pressure-fried chicken and potatoes! I always order the family bucket and an entree antipasto salad and a large pepperoni pizza when family comes over to visit. Also, you have to get a large side of ranch--TRUST ME!!! Their buffalo wings are good too! Their prices are a little on the high side, buuuut it is well worth it. Chichis used to be a weekly weekend special for my daughter and I, and is one of the traditions i missed the most when I moved away from northridge. When I came down from OC to visit my daughter and she suggested ChiChis for dinner, I was excited with the prospect of having some time to spend with my little girl sharing our favorite pizza. My goodness how chichis has changed. The cheese was only good becaue it was hot, but after the minute it took to cool down it was jut burnt cheese. But wirst of all was the bread. The pizza crust was burnt and unedible. I wish i was overexxagerrating. The only reason that im giving this place 1 star, is because the waiter was at least decent. read more

I am saddened to see someone post such an uncalled for deliberate attack on Christy's customer service skills. As a regular at Chi Chi's I know serval customers who were at the restaurant in the bar this last weekend and witnessed how crowed the bar was and how well Christy was able to multitask taking orders and making drinks on her own as the single server/bartender that evening. One of my favorite cheese pizzas around the valley. Simple but top quality and tasty. Sausage sandwich with mozzarella is also one of my favorites. Cold cut is delicious. Ingredients make a difference. Oh can that taste the difference in the food. Haven't tried pasta yet, but only because the cheese pizza and sausage sandwich are so good I can't help but continue ordering them. Great service. Friendly staff. Worked here in the late 80s as I was going to high school . This was my first real job so I am little bit biased but we keep coming back because I have some favorites: -Get the meat raviolis with the Alfredo sauce you'll thank me later ,sprinkle some red chili peppers on top and some Parmesan and it's just amazing -the cheese on the pizza is no secret it's two parts to one part ,I forget what the combo is but it's essentially mozzarella cheese and jack cheese so I prefer to get that on my salads I asked for pizza cheese on my salads -got to love the bread I'm happy they went to rolls and when I was working there they used to use baquettes but the rolls are much easier and you don't have to share as much and nobody else is touching your bread , I have a thing about that -antipasta salad top-notch love it! always get extra tomatoes no garbanzos -not a lot of people know about the chicken it really is worth ordering and now they have the wings I'm sure they're amazing as well but those pressure Fried Chickens and potatoes are just really good order it one time and you'll get it -the roast beef sandwich is also very good and I although I don't like the roasted peppers on it -just because of the Skins- it still is a great sandwich I wish they offered that roast beef on a pizza The Northridge Earthquake did this location a favor because it was able to be remodeled however the bathrooms were not affected and the bathrooms need a serious update it's time guys. Come on Big John spend some money! If you're a chain food person and you can only appreciate chain food you probably shouldn't come here. Came in to order take out, and was immediately greeted by a friendly employee. I ordered southern Italian platter, immigrant pizza, and cup of clam chowder. I would definitely recommend all three! Our order took no more than 15 minutes and all the food was fresh. I decided to try this place after hearing they are owned by the same people of lidos pizza in van Nuys. Same great quality in both places, but I will be coming here more as it is closer to me. read more

When I received the bill my family and I were charged 1.50$ 3 times thinking it's "All can you eat pasta" for only referable pasta that freaking basic that I could. Have made homemade plus I love how it says in the tiny print. Of the special that sharing isn't allowed wow you communists I think anyone has the right. Plus I paid for it! It ridiculously stupid this restaurant charges to take it home your food seriously you are charge people not waste food! Really it's delusional and. The negative reviews are coming from people who prefer Pizza Hut and other cheap buffets. Chi Chi's wouldn't be around for more than 50 years if they weren't doing something right on a consistent basis. Granted, not every single dining or guest experience is flawless so if one person had one bad trip, does that mean the other 20 potential servers will be less than professional? Doubtful. It is entirely common for large venues to close off sections when servers aren't available or maybe they've already cleaned an area near the end of the night. Besides, you probably would have complained about being seated too far away from the restrooms. But I digress... I give this Chi Chi's five stars not just to combat the whiners and the haters but because Chi Chi's (all of their locations) deserves five stars. We ordered the clam chowder which was so good. Definitely have to go back for that one especially during the fall and winter. We also ordered a Campari Tomato & Basil pizza which was delicious as well. I give Chi Chi's a 4 and a half stars. The pizza was great! Nothing wrong with it. If I could give zero stars I would. I have never been here so we were looking forward to trying this place out for the first time and boy what a disappointment! We never even got service. Place wasn't even busy. The host sat us and said, the server would be right with us. 10 min go by and no one ever came up to the table to acknowledges. Not even to offer beverages. 15-20 min go by still no server. We see the host again sitting a big party and guess what they got served in less than 10 Seconds of being sat! The food is great but I can't believe that they find it very difficult to spell common names on your receipt. I like all their salads. I also love the lasagna. There was a time when we used to come once a week but work got in the way. The only problem Is when you call and order over the phone they messed up the order and spell my name wrong. This place has room for improvement. The place looks worn. It's convenient after dress shopping at David's Bridal. It was $8.95 for all you can eat pasta. The server was extremely friendly even though he did mess up the order couple times. I first got the meat sauce on top of whole wheat Rigatoni and it was very gummy in the consistency. Haven't been here in many years decided to give them a try after having a debate over which was better Casa di Pizza or Chi Chi's and the winner and still champion is Casa di Pizza. We ordered a pizza and wings for takeout, fast and easy pick-up but it was down hill from there. The wings though tasty, was not what we ordered. The pizza crust was burned, not hot and the toppings came off like a slab of cheese with a few toppings. I think the pizza doesn't stay as hot because they put it in a take home light weight box and not a sturdy stay hot pizza take out box. Because we spent $35 for burnt pizza I called and spoke with the person who said they took the order and doesn't have a clue about customer service and/or could care less. His response to the incorrect wings was to bring in my receipt and maybe I could speak with a manager, he did not address the burnt pizza. I will stick with Case di pizza. read more
