Incredible meal! We were so glad to see they had late night hours after roaming around Bushwick at 10 pm looking for a sit-down dinner, and the space has such good energy to it. It's the perfect balance of Thai and upscale diner elements, the drinks looked amazing but we stuck with food. I got the signature short rib because I'd seen some buzz about it and it did not disappoint--melty and buttery after roasting for 4 hours, a delicious umami and sweet sauce, sticky rice, some peanutty notes and crunchy toppings, literal perfection. I took the rest home for the next day's breakfast. I tried a little of my friend's pad see ew and it was yummy too!! The staff were kind and the meal came to us very quickly. Definitely the place to eat in if you can, pretty unique in terms of cuisine and atmosphere.

The best Northern Thai food in Brooklyn. Everything is so tasty and the ambiance is quite nice. Especially the outdoor seating in the summer. The staff is super friendly and very accommodating. They have a bunch of amazing gluten free options including Pad Thai, Fried Rice, steak, seafood, all the curries (some of the best massaman curry in the world!), and even coconut custard for dessert. What a treat. I always return here when in the area.

Food was very tasteful! The ambiance was clean and vibey, very comfortable. The service was quick and efficient, since we came in the door until we left. My first time here and it was a great experience. It is Valentine's Day and we left with a cute little gift from them, beautiful gesture. Definitely coming back :)

Ordered some chicken pad thai for takeout and it was amazing. The noodles and chicken were so juicy and flavorful!! This was one of the best pad thai dishes I have ever had. The food was ready quickly and the staff was friendly. Caught a quick glance of my what everyone else in the restaurant was eating and it all looked so good. Also seemed to have a great atmosphere. I would definitely go back for dinner.

Had a great time at a local spot - and I already want to go again. We've heard good things about their lunch special, that they have some great cocktails, and my wife loves Thai food so this was a good fit for a dinner. I'm only giving 4 stars because it was our fault for not trying our usual Thai orders. Of the things that we got that stood out, the pork belly skewer and the crab rangoons were really, really good. I even ran into a neighbor and we gushed about the rangoons - I would go back JUST for the rangoons. I made the mistake of looking at the chef recommended, realizing that the orange ginger chicken was just orange chicken, and that it was a bit disappointing. The dish itself was fine. The flavor was there, but the rice had nothing to it and the fry on the chicken was okay. I would try anything else and again, my fault for getting something super Americanized where I would typically not get this dish. My wife got the beef shank stew - and it was pretty good, but again, we tried out of our comfort zone, and will come back for the pad see ew. The coconut custard dessert I really liked, but a little too gelatinous and warm for my wife, but I thought it was tasty. It was a very busy Saturday night and our server was really hustling so we appreciate making our trip feel worth on a busy night. Really cool inside! Wish they lowered the lights a tiny bit, but I cant wait to come back in nicer weather and try their outdoor area!

    Larb kua Chiangmai

Always looking for new Thai places to check out and was excited to see this as an option. Ultimately, we enjoyed our meal and I would consider coming back vs. getting their lunch takeout special. We started with the fried salmon belly, a dish I hadn't had before. The crispiness was shocking when you then bit into such smooth salmon-a really jarring juxtaposition of texture. The sauce it came with was fine but not terribly special. We had also ordered the fish bomb but were told they ran out (we didn't need it). We got three mains: 1) Larb kua Chiangmai: Larb is one of my favorite Thai dishes and this was my favorite of the night. There was a generous portion of meat that was very well seasoned and spicy without being intolerable. The crudite was whatever for me but I did enjoy making small lettuce wraps with the meat and some rice. 2) Gaeng Hoh: This is a noodle dish I was not familiar with and ultimately didn't love. I do enjoy glass noodles but I didn't quite enjoy the flavoring of this-a bit too sour/fermented. This may just be what this dish is supposed to be. I don't understand totally why a noodle dish is served with sticky rice, though. 3) Khao Soi Chiang Mai: We love a good khao soi and this was a really nice dish. The noodles were delicious, the broth just right, and the beef so pull-apart tender. Always appreciate the crunch noodles on top. We made a reservation so got seated fairly quickly. The place itself is deceptively huge, which means that the environment is a bit loud. The decor is fun, tons of lights hanging with decorations on the wall. Because it was so crowded the service was, while super nice, a bit lacking (took us a while to get more water, for example). But the dishes came out surprisingly quick. Overall, a really nice meal.

We had a party of 7 and we were able to fit on a picnic table in the back of the restaurant. The service was quick and there was a nice ambiance for dinner. There were also coat racks which was a plus. Making the reservation was easy since the restaurant uses the resy app. The Gaeng Hung Lay was super tender and flavorful. Everything was at a solid price and portions were generous! Would recommend to a friend.

Overall rating: 4.8 Price: ~$60 WOWOWOWOWOW. Must visit. Sooo pretty. Never been so happy I got introduced to this place. I went with a group of 7 or so & we had to split it evenly. They only take 2x cards. So I don't think my price is a true representative of the items I ordered. But sharing below: - Lin-Ping: 3/5 so sweet. Not good. - Wai-Jai-Dai-Ga 3/5 nothing special - Curry Puff: 5/5 delicious! Very affordable too for the quantity. - Chicken Satay: 4/5 the peanut sauce is sooo good. Make sure to ask for it in a to-go container. They are really weird about it. Comes with lettuce & is a great eat. The place is absolutely beautiful and feels hidden. It's sooo large. Best for parties or a cute date. Not sure if I'd come here solo.

I went here with some friends on a Saturday night and was pleasantly surprised that there was no wait. The interior was very pretty and cozy. The vegan menu was very exciting, the smoked imitation duck was delicious and very different. The rod dang was EXVELLENT great cocktails.

Green chili paste that accompanies the rib eye
    Fadda M.

Amazing food, very clean inside, & attentive & friendly service. Beautiful interior. The food here is off the hook. The green chili paste that comes w the rib eye steak is crazy !! The "fish bomb" fried fish app is also so good. Thinking about their food after having it at lunch today is making me go nuts now. Can't wait to go back ! The menu is giant - very difficult to decide what to order ! Cons - the music is really lame. They also don't need giant TVs facing the dining area playing nonsense.

    Short rib Hung Lay
    Sophia H.

I love a place thai place that serves non-typical Thai food and even more when they do it well. We ordered braised dishes and really liked them both. They had very different flavor profiles than in dishes that people usually order. The inside was super cute. The only thing is that since it was a busy night, we had a time limit which I've never heard of at a non-AYCE, sit down restaurant, so I felt a bit rushed. Other than that, I'd come back and try the other dishes.

Our group of 4 started with a bottle of Pinot Grigio and a few appetizers to share, namely: Som tum papaya salad and dumplings curry. For the main entree, my eyes caught the attention of clay pot mix-fried rice with shrimp, chicken, sweet sausage, and my partner chose shrimp pad thai. Nothing really stood out with the dishes; I found it to be a bit Americanized, having eaten in so many Thai restaurants around New York City. Overall, we enjoyed our dinner here; our food came in timely fashion, and the customer service is good as well, but it's probably not your place if you are seeking a more authentic Thai-style cooking.

PLEASE get the mango stick rice cocktail omg it was gone in like 5 sips because it was so good. The tuna ceviche was so refreshing and the sauce had a little kick to it which I absolutely loved! It was like a sprinkle of Thai on a classic tuna ceviche. Note the taro chips are a little thicker than a typical chip! The pork jowl wasn't as crispy as I expected but it was still flavorful and the portion size was huge, considering how it was an appetizer. We got pineapple lychee crispy duck, crab fried rice, and kana crispy pork over rice as our entree. ALL WERE SO GOOD! The curry for the pineapple lychee crispy duck was so creamy and flavorful, with the duck portion being huge and being the perfect texture. I loved that it was crispy and didn't get soggy fast in the curry. The crab fried rice was top tier as there were SO MANY HUGE CRAB PIECES!! You can definitely tell that it had flavors of seafood/crab.. they did not skimp out! And the kana crispy pork over rice was huge portion as well, but note that it was a big strong/saltier than the other dishes. For dessert, the pandan coconut pudding custard was SO yummy. It was warm and so flavorful and creamy!! I fell in love with Brooklyn even more after coming here. Highly recommend!!

I feel differently about Hungry Thirsty. At this point I've been to countless Thai restaurants, and for the most part they've all been fantastic. Compared to all those fantastic meals the flavors here still stand out and I'm excited to read that they're expanding with additional locations. They have a phenomenal and lengthy beer selection, which is fun because it complements the spicy fried dishes quite well. The fried branzino and shrimp and squid in salted duck yolk were very tasty with white rice but the dish that lit up my taste buds was the Kai Jeow Pu- colossal crab omelette. The egg was deep fried in an aromatic oil and filled with fresh, large pieces of crab and served with a phenomenal zesty sauce. The place is tiny and no frills, and our server chafed at my partner for pronouncing a beer on their menu incorrectly, which just added to the experience. I loved it here!

Very glad we did. The Kra Pow Neur was easily the best thing we had and a legitimate 5/5. The short rib was insanely tender, full of umami and slightly sweet flavor, with a really prominent crust without being tough or dry at all. It also wasn't really spicy despite all the chili listed in the dish. This is the thing I would absolutely tell someone to order. The Crying Tiger was also excellent. Properly cooked strip loin, prepared exactly how we asked, with toasted rice powder, fried garlic, sticky rice, and Thai sauce. Again, not spicy at all. Honestly one of the better steaks I've had. The Beef Shank Massaman was another standout. The sauce itself was decent, but the beef shank was extremely tender, well seasoned, and paired really well with it. The chive pancakes were good too. Crispy, served with sweet soy sauce and fried shallots. I thought they were solid, but Andrew was defending these things like his life depended on it, so maybe you'll like them even more than I did. Chicken satay was probably the least exciting dish. The chicken itself was pretty basic, but the peanut sauce was definitely above average. The experience was easy. We ate at the bar, which is actually big enough to comfortably eat at, the food came quickly, and there were no problems. Honestly I'd probably choose the bar again because it's easier to keep adding dishes without trying to flag down a waiter. Not really a value spot, but the food is good enough that you probably won't be upset about what you spent. Love love love the food here. Food: 5/5 Experience: 4/5 Price: 3/5

Crying Tiger was the star. Properly grilled beef, char on the outside, still tender, and that spicy dipping sauce had depth, not just chili heat. Everything came out hot and timed well.
