Sage is one of my favorite lunch spots in Williamsburg! The vibes are calm casual.. not too loud at all so it's perfect to go with friends or coworkers and be able to catch up. The service - always great! The host and server always so kind and attentive. We walked in without a reservation and were seated right away. My absolute favorite and what I always order is the Chili Basil with onions and peppers. My favorite! It comes with a side of Jasmine rice. The best part is that this meal is part of their lunch menu specials (I posted the pic so you can see).. the lunch special I ordered was one appetizer (edamame) and an entree for $11! Like what!? Super tasty and cheap! My white sangria 1/2 carafe was $13 and has enough for 2 full glasses. Overall can't beat that price for the quality of the food, service and ambiance they provide. Go check them out!

Hands down the best Thai food I've eaten in a long time. We came here right after Bathhouse Saunas , and it was the perfect post-spa meal cozy, satisfying, and restorative. The Massaman curry was rich and perfectly balanced, the tom kha soup was so flavorful, and the curry puff pastry was a must. 10/10- highly recommend.

This was my first time at Sage, but my date comes here frequently. The restaurant was clean and the decor was simple but aesthetically pleasing. We were waited on by Ing, she was very sweet, pleasant, and attentive. We had the vegetable spring rolls, Thai calamari, vegetable rice, and Drunken noodles w/ roasted duck. The food was really good. The duck was a little overcooked but I still enjoyed it. I would definitely visit again.

Great night at Sage. Honestly this was a few months ago but I remembered receiving a warm welcome, with well lit lights and a nice ambiance. Service was polite and staff did not rush us while we stayed for over 2 hours catching up with old friends. Food was nice, not too overpowering and good portions to be full but not overly stuffed.

For a cold day like today, this is my new Go-To place if i'm in Williamsburg for a nice cozy meal like their Red Curry with chicken (a bit on the spicy side, nonetheless delicious)! They offer a great happy hour menu from 4-6pm that includes a side and an appetizer along with your entree. If I wasn't so full after my meal, I would've ordered some dessert as the menu looked divine! Fresh ingredients & every dish surpassed my expectations, I will be back!

First meal out of the new year! What a great choice. Sage wasn't planned, it was there and open but sometimes chance works out better than intent! The atmosphere is really nice, open and airy. All three of the serving staff won the contest for "most helpful" with a minor in "most charming" The menu had lots of good choices, for Veg and GF. My vegan fried rice was a safe choice but when I bit into it, I was simply amazed - this was spectacular! New regular spot! Don't change a thing

This place was great! We got in right away, the food was pretty tasty and I enjoyed every single second of them. The service was pretty nice, super attentive and nice atmosphere.

This Thai place is very fancy and I've did both dine in and takeout from SAGE. The place is quite huge and very classy with windows that are opened to the public on a nice day. The place is decorated with these nice willow branches that make the place look more lovely than ever. Also they play music on certain days and have some events in the restaurant where you have to look at their schedule on their website. Recently I think their prices are kind of high. I ordered the Sage Fried Rice and it was $10 for the base and extra $5 for a side of chicken, making it $15! More expensive than other Thai places which a Thai fried rice is probably cheaper than $15! The plate was fresh though and they were very generous with their portions. Only two slices of cucumber, a lime wedge, and lots of onions in the fried rice. Kind of oily and rice was cooked to the right temperature. I also ordered a Thai iced tea and it came mixed and it was $4, which was okay pricing. Not too sugary and I felt like it was very little in the cup it came in. The cup was half filled with ice and the Thai iced tea wasn't all the way to the top of the cup. Finished it really fast and didn't get to enjoy it slowly.

Pretty average Thai food, definitely had better. That being said, their prices are great! The pad Thai chicken was pretty decent, can't really go wrong with that. However, my drunken noodles were pretty bland. VERYYY spicy though so not for the weak but that was the only flavor really. It could've benefited from more sauce for sure. Overall pretty average but good ambiance (live music) if you're looking for a "nicer" Thai restaurant.

Our group of 4 started with a bottle of Pinot Grigio and a few appetizers to share, namely: Som tum papaya salad and dumplings curry. For the main entree, my eyes caught the attention of clay pot mix-fried rice with shrimp, chicken, sweet sausage, and my partner chose shrimp pad thai. Nothing really stood out with the dishes; I found it to be a bit Americanized, having eaten in so many Thai restaurants around New York City. Overall, we enjoyed our dinner here; our food came in timely fashion, and the customer service is good as well, but it's probably not your place if you are seeking a more authentic Thai-style cooking.

Every single dish was fantastic and came with little chili sauces or garnishes or spicy sauce etc which brought the dishes together beautifully. The hostess was extremely friendly and kind and gave her recommendation as well. She said takeout would be 15 minutes (it would be hour long wait to dine in at 8pm on a Thursday night). They were absolutely packed despite the time. We ordered the pad see ew with shrimp, the crab fried rice (amazing), the Pak Mor which is a sweet and savory rice roll that comes with coconut cream dipping sauce (drool worthy), and last but not least the Kao Tom Haeng which also comes with a tasty broth on the side. I'd say that the pad see ew was the weakest dish of what we ordered but it was still tasty. I think it would have been nicer with a different protein, perhaps chicken or tofu. My friends and I have never dined in but the ambience looks very warm and inviting. If you love delicious and flavorful food then this is the place for you! Look no further!! Highly recommend!!!! It was like a sprinkle of Thai on a classic tuna ceviche. Note the taro chips are a little thicker than a typical chip! The pork jowl wasn't as crispy as I expected but it was still flavorful and the portion size was huge, considering how it was an appetizer. The sweet fruit with the savory fish worked way better than I expected. · Pineapple Fried Rice - came with shrimp, nice wok aroma, and that perfect sweet-tangy pineapple kick. · Pineapple Lychee Crispy Duck (GF) - duck skin was nice and crispy, and the coconut-based sauce with lychee and pineapple kept it from feeling heavy or greasy. · Branzino Chili Lime (GF) - came out piping hot, classic Thai-style sour broth that paired perfectly with the fish. No fishy taste at all, and the texture was tender. Even the drinks and dessert weren't overly sweet, which was a pleasant surprise. Pad Kee Mao (aka Drunken Noodles), chicken $15.00 Stir-fried flat rice noodle, bamboo shoots, garlic, basil, fresh chili, onion, carrot, string bean, bell pepper, long hot chili The flat rice noodle quantity was sufficient, but minimal and there were too much onion, insufficient string bean, two paucity pieces of carrot. I dislike bamboo shoot which is not a standard ingredient for this particular entrée. I think the bamboo shoot tainted this entrée. I am a traditionalist conservative which bean sprouts is a good substitute variation for bamboo shoot vegetable including string bean. This entrée is my favorite default and as a caveat, if any Thai restaurant or cafe do not offer on their menu I refuse entry to patronize. This entrée enticed my interest and embedded the lunch meal menu for the reasonable price. I personally despise and do not consume spicy hot foods, but occasionally consume mild or very mild in the smallest measurement of the Scoville scale which I specifically requested, but received medium hot spicy. The waitress forewarned me the intense heat level on the Scoville scale as Thai cultural spicy with two or more bird's eye chilies for a high level of spiciness. The spiciness of chili peppers were, in my opinion, medium spicy. Despite the intense medium heat spiciness, the stir-fried noodles lacked flavor with, tender chicken, minimal vegetables, and Thai basil in a bland taste. I wish I chosen shrimp as the protein. Pad Kee Mao sustained my hunger pangs and ate my fill. When eating Thai intense heat spicy foods, I visualize to think of the TV segment "Niall Horan & James Corden Take On Hot Wings" on "The Late Late Show with James Corden" in March, 2020. High heat spicy foods! Thai ice tea, large $3.00 This was a delight and neutralized the heat spiciness because it contains milk. It was served chilled in a large highball glass. Samyan is a Thai cafe located in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn, NYC and accessible via MTA NYC Transit C local train at Clinton-Washington subway station. This cafe is a independently owned and operated, thankfully. The waitress did check-in with me during my meal for attentive customer service. The atmospheric conditions were a simple small dine-in cafe. There were many paintings, portraits hanging on their walls of white subway tiles. Gold metallic metal chopsticks and fork are provided. If utensils are gold then the interior cafe should contain these "gaudy" feature extensive gold elements, including gilded moldings and furniture. Peony rose are very simply and made pretty table centerpiece decorations. Takeout menu and business cards are available for grabs. I did received my sales receipt. At the bottom of the sales receipt there is a suggested gratuity in intervals of 18%, 20% and 22% where customers do not have to perform math calculation. I paid $23.00 in cash as the waitress' informative knowledge of the ingredients and preparation of the heat level on the Scoville scale.

My partner was running late, and even though the place is clearly very popular right now, they still accommodated us with a table. The staff explained every unfamiliar dish we asked about, always with a smile. I usually avoid the standard NYC Thai restaurant lineup of pad thai + generic curry situations and look for places that feel more regional and authentic. The menu here had a bunch of dishes I didn't recognize, which immediately made me excited. They even have a spice guide though the icons don't necessarily mean increasing spice levels. As I understood it, different symbols represent different types of heat. Three chili emojis and three meteor emojis may be equally spicy, but they hit differently. They recommended not to order the pad krapow nuer, and honestly, fair enough. Instead, we got the chicken khao soi, which was far better than versions I've had elsewhere - deeply flavorful, spicy, rich with umami. My partner was crying. I, meanwhile, was at "this is perfect and I'm having a great time." One Huge chunk of chicken cooked exactly right. Mix everything thoroughly before eating. Then came the kua kling which arrived with another warning. That dish became my personal challenge to impress the server, and apparently I succeeded because now they've promised that next time they won't discourage me from ordering the nuer. They kept refilling cabbage and cucumber for us to cool down from the heat. The kua kling itself was incredible. That dry curry heat was everything. It builds slowly, then suddenly punches you in the face - but alongside all that spice is an insane amount of flavor. They also recommended to order a non-spicy side dish to have a balanced meal and spice level, but we skipped it because it would've been too much food. Honestly, this is the kind of place where going with at least four people is ideal so you can try more dishes and balance the spice levels. And if you're unsure what to order, trust the servers - their recommendations were spot on. Also: really great ciders and beers. We were really happy with both choices. Overall, even though it's far from the city for me, I'd absolutely go back.

The restaurant is tiny, so be sure to make a reservation. As a lover of spicy food, the spiciness in the dishes really brought out such a great flavor. Since my friend didn't eat as spicy, we found a happy medium getting just slightly spicy dishes which were all fantastic. We ordered the Khao Soi ($33) and Pla Tod Nam Pla ($40). The khao soi wasn't too spicy, especially since the broth has a creaminess and the spicies are on the side before mixing, which you can exclude. The chicken was so tender, but did come with bone so this can be trickier to share. Then the pla tod really surprised me, but I can definitely see why it's the best seller. It is a fried branzino with a marinated fish sauce which goes so nicely with all the crunch. There are a few remaining pieces of bone, so be careful. The fish had a nice balance of fish meat and crunchy skin. If you're looking for a unique Thai spot, this is it. Also, perfect spot for spicy lovers too. They also offer a huge selection of alcohol.

The seating was okay since it's early enough but bugs showed up - no surprise - not a complaint just the reality of life and online typing in case anyone is considering it and is more sensitive to the same.
