Chicago Connections has been my favorite for several decades. The ingredients are good and the cheese has flavor. The crust has changed for the better and the red sauce is good. It isn't garlic heavy as it used to be. This location makes the pizza consistently and quickly. My only irritation is they add a card payment fee. This means I must call and then pay in cash to avoid the charge. That works. I'm old and can handle this to avoid a nuisance charge. read more

I would like to speak to a manager about this order. Your customer service was AWFUL. The time for delivery was not just a little off it was absolutely atrocious. People have lives they plan around and thanks to the lack of customer service at this store I had to purchase a pizza from dominoes who got it here before your order could even be delivered. Very unimpressed with the manager of this location of Chicago Connection. I love Chicago Connection pizza, so I'll be going to other locations in the future. I went in to pick up the 2 large pizzas I ordered. One was badly burned. The manager (who I didn't see) told the very nice employee at the counter to ask me if I wanted a new pizza to be made or to just take the burnt one. Since I didn't have another 30 minutes to wait to have another pizza made, I just took the burnt one. It would have been nice if the manager had come out and talked to me and offered to make it right, but apparently they are one of those that just throws their employees under the bus. read more

Despite all the negative reviews this restaurant seems to generate my husband and I decided to give try one Friday evening. We've recently bought a new house in an area that no one seems to want to deliver pizza to, so huge thanks to Chicago Connection for being the only pizza company we've found to do so to date. The order process was simple, and the delivery arrived just in time. We ordered a medium Double Deluxe Pepperoni (two layers of pepperoni over and under extra mozzarella cheese, $19.95) and single cheese bread (garlic bread with melted mozzarella served with marinara sauce, $3.95). I'm not very used to deep-dish style pizza, so it was A-okay for us. I mean, you can't really go wrong with pizza. But it didn't blow my mind away. There was an excellent amount of cheese however not enough pepperoni for my liking, so then it was overwhelmingly cheesy. I ended up slapping some of my own pepperoni and it did the job! The cheese bread was alright as well. Overall this was a subpar experience. I will order again only because (1) no one else orders out to me and (2) I'm a huge believer in second chances. 12/20/21 - there are only 2 employees working the store tonight. My order was delivered 30 minutes early and incomplete. Not to mention the fact that my pizzas were delivered uncut, when I specifically ordered them to be cut. I called the store, and the gentleman that answered apologized profusely. He then took charge of the situation, got my 3rd pizza sent out to me and even sent a pizza cutter for free. Shame on the corporate people at Chicago Connection for letting your store get like this. But a huge round of applause for the few guys working tonight. They went above and beyond when the odds were against them. We were looking for something quick and easy near the house to grab a bite and decided to give Chicago Connection a try. When we arrived, there was just one other table of customers and they were already eating their meal. We placed our order and waited and waited and waited. Meanwhile, three other groups of customers came in and two of them were fed prior to us. When I grabbed the attention of our waitress (after waiting 40 minutes by this point) she seemed confused as to why we were asking for the status of our meal and told us to hang on while she served the third set of costumers theirs. We were getting ready to leave when she circled back around and said they were cutting our pizza up and it should be out shortly. Wouldn't have minded waiting if the pizza was amazing, but it was the most tasteless pizza I've ever had. Super disappointed and definitely won't be back. read more

Chicago Connection is always delicious. The staff are friendly and make sure to provide me with drinks if I ever have to wait for my online takeout. The only real con is that sometimes the crust is more cooked than I like. read more

This place is great. We come here as they have deep dish thick crust. They give plenty of sauce and the cheese is plentiful. You know it's good when the cheese is thick and it stretches. Have been a loyal customer for years. Tonight I ordered a pizza online at 6:20 PM. Waited two hours and finally called the restaurant and was told my pizza was out for delivery. Called again at 8:55 because I knew they closed at 9:00 PM. I was disconnected twice and finally reached someone who told me they were closed. I was able to get them to speak to me because my dinner had never been delivered. They apologized and agreed to cancel my order / credit my credit card. It's been a while since we've been in so we were excited to come back. We were one of two tables and were seated at a dirty table. We had to ask to have the table wiped down. Not biggie. We ordered two pizzas. Both arrived very quickly and looked good. Both pizzas were like warm. I swear it was like the pizzas were made ahead of time and just reheated. We asked to have one be put back through the oven. When it came out it was still like warm. Instead of receiving a bill our host/waiter came around with a tablet and asked for payment without allowing us an opportunity to review the bill first. We asked for a copy of the receipt and received just the total...not an itemized receipt. For $70 for two people with lukewarm pizza we will not be back. Bummer. read more

Then you disconnect your phone so we can't get an update? You have no respect for your customers, we have been patient with pour service due to Covid but again; you are telling us when our meal will arrive and you can't get that right and you will not update your customers. I enjoyed this pizza very much! I'm from Boston and am somewhat unaccustomed to Chicago style pizza. After a very long day of traveling, I ordered a pizza and salad and it truly hit the spot! I called the wrong location and the fellow I spoke to took the time to find out the correct location that would deliver to my hotel. YUM!!! The food was absolutely delicious! We dined in and loved it. Our waiter was nice, the place was very quiet and pretty clean, but the best part was definitely the food. I would for sure go back! We ordered one large double deluxe pepperoni and one individual pizza with olives & Italian sausage, and also an order of cheese bread. I got an insane cheese pull with my personal pizza, I lifted the first piece as high as my arm would go and was STILL pulling cheese! It tasted super delicious too, and was a great price. The cheese bread comes with marinara sauce and was super yummy, it's garlic bread with melted cheese on top which was very good. We brought home the pepperoni pizza and have been having leftovers all week. I'd definitely recommend them for the food, and we will be going back soon! read more

My boyfriend loves Chicago style pizza so when we drove by this place while in town we had to stop. Service was pretty good, greeted quickly and our server checked in with us just the right amount. On a pizza scale this place is about a 7, lots of cheese which we love. However, the sauce and the pepperoni were scarce in the double pepperoni we ordered. They also lacked in quality, the same pepperoni on the pizza as the salad bar. Id give it a 3 on a scale for Chicago style. Overall, it was a decent dinner but nothing compared to some of the great deep dish pies we've had in the Northwest. read more

I've tried this location three times now. My family gets the deep dish and I get the gluten free pizza. Two of the three times we've had pizza from this location, mine had been raw. Not undercooked, but absolutely raw to the point that I could not even pull a slice off the pizza without it disintegrating. I've had to put the pizza back in the oven to bake it more. One time out of the three my family's pizza was raw as well. When the pizza from here is cooked it is delicious. I came to Chicago Connection to celebrate my nephew's 15th birthday party. We made reservations and were able to get the back room, which is nice for larger parties. As far as pizza goes, it's not bad. I will say that everyone raved about the Buffalo Chicken pizza. I, however, LOVED the garlic cheese bread. This is a place that seems a lot like someone described Chicago-style pizza to someone else and they made a restaurant based on the description. Actually, I'll go one better. Totino's used to have a frozen deep dish years and years ago, where the toppings would fall below the top of the crust. This is more like that...even in flavor a bit. Apparently, andouille sausage is a bit trend up here and this is another place that had it, but this one was not as good as what Smoky Mountain has. It's not bad, but it is missing a note. Pizza itself was ok; nothing too notable one way or the other. I expected more, I guess, foolishly perhaps...the beer I had was also very malty and tasted borderline infected. Homebrewers will know what I mean there. Also had the toasted/baked ravioli, which were somehow burned. It has some sort of cheese-ish, cheesefood maybe?, blend in here, which sounded good enough to try once but I would never get into again. We have been disappointed in this location again and again. Tonight was the last straw. We routinely order the Maui chicken and order jalapeños with it. The last year and half has been a struggle to get what we pay for. The jalapeños are left off about 90% of the time. I have called and talked to previous managers and have received free pizzas and refunds to accommodate the lousy initial service. Tonight was no different until Ryan got on the phone. I explained our issue and how it has been ongoing for over a year. I also explained that we would no longer be patronizing Chicago connection due to their apparent lack of concern over quality control. At this point Ryan asked to look up our account and upon doing so informed me that the reasons we didn't receive jalapeños, is because we didn't order them. He said this with a very accusatory tone and quite condescending. Unfortunately for Ryan I have a copy of the receipt that clearly shows we requested jalapeños. If one of my employees treated my customers like that they would either never be allowed to talk to customers again or not employed at our business. I run a local family business and it pains me to see local companies putting out a subpar product. We only frequent local businesses and will no longer support Chicago Connection.
