The pizza was amazing! So I had a 30$ gift card. My thought was after I purchased my meal I would leave the gift card in hopes of getting some cash for gas. I purchased my meal and the manager proceeded to give me a 20$ bill out of HIS wallet. Mind you the bill is 11 and change. There's 18 and change left. Chris hands me back the gift card and says have a great day. I refused, before this I showed him my short YouTube video on how I spent half a year to the day in a coma. Hubs was hankering for a deep dish pizza on a Friday night. Well then off to Chicago Fire for us with me taking along a Lactaid pill. We ended up at the Folsom Palladio location. We waited 27 minutes for a table in the dining room. Not a bad wait. But I noticed the hostesses were monitoring capacity, the restaurant had more tables than servers. They limited areas of seating, we wanted a table but were given only a choice of two person mini booth. The interior waiting area was comfortable enough with its cushioned bench seating and views of the TVs, and they had outdoor benches as well. The customer service was great. Ariel was our server. 5star service. We ordered the deep dish multi course dinner for two $33.99. It comes with a small deep dish, choice of Cesar or primo salad, and choice of mini delight dessert or cheesy bread. Everything tasted darn good. The primo house salad was a big serving size. Fresh, basic ingredients mainly romaine lettuce. The star of the salad was the croutons. They were a few in there but by golly they were delicious. Seasoned well, and the perfect crunch level (not hard, or underbaked). Tasted home made but I am not sure if they actually were. We ordered pepperoni and Italian sausage ( fyi additional charge for the added topping, the price is only for plain cheese. Additional toppings are $2.50 each. I was assuming the price included one topping until I saw the bill). Anyways, the deep dish does take longer to bake, but those extra minutes are worth it. It came out with a hot with ... a golden crisp edged crust, as expected a thing of beauty cheese stretch, flavorful pizza sauce, and tasty bottom crust. Mmm. We ordered the dessert, it was a chocolate chip cookie topped with ice cream and whipped cream with a cherry on top. Sweet decadence. Mmm. My lactaid was working overtime. All worth it ;D The parking situation is not ideal for folks unable to walk far. There are no temporary spots near the restaurant to unload. The parking structure is around the corner, a bit of a walk. And at around 10pm on a Friday night in the lot, I saw a man peeing against a car, a car speeding around with people hanging (waist up) out of the sunroof, and two cars racing against each other to get out of the lot. We had my 12 year old sons birthday here today and the service was excellent. I was able to store my cupcakes in their fridge and put my gifts at the table prior to the reservation time which was really nice as we were playing games at Dave and Busters. We are big-time foodies! Wings are one of the things that we find so many places do wrong. Chicago fire is now at the top of our list for the best wings! Yep, a pizza place that does great wings. The pizza is also pretty fabulous. Our go to pies are the thin crust cheese and a deep dish, sausage and pepperoni. Tap that off with five star service! Allison has been our server the last two visits and she gets everything right. She is friendly and professional and definitely shares our love for good food. When she has time we get to visit with her a little, but she takes care of her guests and we appreciate that! We've been visiting Chicago Fire since they first opened in the original location on Sutter Street. This is a nice spot with a free parking garage nearby. I came here on a Monday and got seated right away. They also had 50% off wings that night - so had to try that. I met with my brother and we got a lb. of wings with regular Buffalo seasoning and got a deep dish pizza - we did half Chicago and half second city BBQ. Got lots of ranch on the side and went to town! The wings were so tasty! Probably the best I've had in a while! More over Buffalo Wild Wings and Wing Stop! Utensils, plates and cups all clean. They do provide plenty of paper napkins. Yay! 2) server and staffs were very nice and professional. 3) water tasted good. No funky taste. 4) deep dish pizza takes about 45 mins to cook, so order early. Pizza was very good. 5) kids love all their foods: spaghetti dish and pasta dish. 6) wings were delicious and juicy. Perfectly cooked. Today is 50% off wings Monday. Yay! 7) they pushed two tables for us. 8) Cons 1) a little hard on finding parking. 2) no toothpick :'( Conclusion This is a really nice, clean area. Restaurant was clean and nice. We could hear one another talk. Nice atmosphere and ambiance. Servers didn't rush us out. Foods were good. Drinks were good. Staffs were nice. We popped into Chicago Fire on a busy Friday evening. There was a reasonable 20 minute wait for a table so we headed to the bar to grab a drink and kill time. Andrew and Dillon were so great that we ended up just ordering from the bar. Unexpected family issue required us to request it to go. They happily boxed up our meal they had just brought out. We love Chicago deep dish and Chicago Fire is the closest to us when we get the hankering for some pie. The pizzas are a bit pricey, but they taste good. This location is a bit difficult though. Parking isn't great, in fact is terrible if you are disabled because getting to the front door. I actually preferred the old Folsom location better. read more
