Visconti's is hands down the best Italian restaurant around. It's a family-owned restaurant, and you can truly feel the passion and hospitality the moment you walk in. The food is absolutely amazing--fresh, authentic, and the closest thing to eating in Italy without buying a plane ticket. The entire family is incredibly welcoming and makes every visit feel special. If you're looking for authentic Italian food and outstanding service, this is the place to go. Stop by, enjoy an incredible meal, and don't forget to say hello to the family. You'll be glad you did!

We arrived at the restaurant at 6pm on Sunday with our friend who already called for reservation. The restaurant was very busy but we were seated immediately. Our waitress was friendly but she was hard to find. Our friend didn't get her appetizer salad until all the entrees were served and had to ask for it from another waitress. We also had to ask for water refill after flagging another server. - Minestrone soup: disappointing. It was too salty for my taste and super watered down. There were only few vegetables and pasta at the bottom. - Garlic bread: the bread was warm and soft. The garlic and butter were very prominent. - Pollo marsala: the chicken cooked perfectly and the sauce was good but I didn't taste any wine in it. The spaghetti was perfectly al-dante and the marinara sauce tasted super fresh and delicious. - Meat combo pizza with regular crust (medium): the pizza was superb! The crust was fluffy yet had perfect crunch. The red sauce was super good and fresh. There were tons of meat toppings on top and they tasted very good and fresh.

What a great holiday lunch with my coworkers! Our supervisor treated us to Visconti's, and it was such a pleasant experience. The lunch menu was simple and easy to order from, which I appreciated. I went with the eggplant parmesan with light cheese on top since I wanted something flavorful but not too heavy, and it was perfect. The space has a cozy, home-style feel decor nothing too fancy, just warm and welcoming. There's plenty of seating, with both indoor dining and an outdoor patio. You can choose between regular tables and booths, which worked well for our group. The booth was nice and enough space for us all to sit comfortably. The staff were very nice and attentive. One of my coworkers brought her four year old, and the waiter gave her stickers that he carries around which his daughter gave him to share. Such a thoughtful and sweet gesture that instantly brought a smile to her face. Our food came out in about 15-20 minutes, which was great considering there were seven of us. The warm lighting really adds to the ambiance and gives the place a great date night vibe. I'll definitely be adding Visconti's to my list for a future date night with hubby. Great food, service and ambiance. Highly recommend!

Some amazing Italian food! The service was phenomenal. I was able to eat outside and enjoy the weather too. Started off with a side salad, had some bread and delicious chicken Alfredo! 10/10 all around!!! I would come here again for sure

Pollo Alla Visconti

This is the third or fourth time I've been to Visconti and the food was what I expected...it was okay. We ate here because it's my friend's favorite restaurant. We had a table for 15 but only 7 showed up which I felt bad about since we took up double the space (I was not the organizer). Luckily the restaurant was not busy the night. We ordered the fried calamari and sampler plate as appetizer. The fried calamari was a generous size and tasted good. The sampler plate was decent. For main I ordered the Pollo Alla Visconti $28 with the clam chowder and gnocchi as an up-charge since they make the gnocchi in-house (the rest of the pasta is not made in house). The dish was a generous size, though once the additions were made it came to $35 which is starting to add up. The clam chowder was very tasty (though not as good as Scott's Seafood) and a generous size. The chicken was good. I had leftovers and it was actually better the next day. The gnocchi was rubbery and the tomato sauce was ordinary. If I had known I would not have ordered it. My partner got the chicken parmigiana which was okay. I had leftovers the day after and it was okay (ie. It did not improve the next day unlike the Apollo Alla Visconti) Our server was friendly and helpful. I have friends who absolutely love Visconti and I wouldn't hesitate to come back if they choose it, but it would not be my first choice for Italian food.

SCAMPI VESUVIO

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary here. We made reservations and changed them twice on a Saturday night and they were very accommodating. We requested a small booth, no problem. We ordered drinks and on a Saturday night, they came out with a small delay which is understandable. Taylor took our order and the garlic bread came out immediately. Most dinners come with choice of soup or salad and a side of garlic bread. Next came the salads. Timing was very good as some restaurants rush the entrees out and they're cold by the time you finish your salad. Wife had the Petrale Sole and I had the Scampi Vesuvio. For dessert, we had cheesecake with raspberry topping. The ambience is excellent, service is excellent, and great food with reasonable prices.

Italian food lovers...REJOICE and dine as soon as you can at Visconti's Ristorante in Folsom! Call ahead of time like we did to make rezzies, because when you arrive your table will be ready and Visconti's is always busy due to their very faithful following! Tonight we were hoping to be seated in Alex's section, but his was full. However, we did get Indiana as our server and she was fantastic! Very kind, ready to answer questions, and exceedingly friendly! Visconti's is larger than it looks with seating inside and al fresco, as well as their ample bar area. The strip mall parking lot has never been an issue for us. Tonight we were seated in one of their very comfy booths. We also love that Visconti's is a family-owned and run restaurant. Our meal began with the bruschetta. The Hubster ordered the Gnocchi with pesto sauce, the MIL had Spaghetti Alla Paisana, and I ordered the Scampi Vesuvio. All three dishes came with a choice of soup or salad, we each chose salad. Dinner portions are very generous and our meals were absolute perfection! Bonus factor is having leftovers to take away for another meal. We have been to Visconti's many times, and I have failed to give them this glowing review...at least I remembered tonight! We have never had a poor meal or bad service and when friends or family need a suggestion our first recommendation is always Visconti's. Bring an empty belly and a large group for celebratory occasions, come here on a date night, or even if you just want to skip dinner and be spoiled...Visconti's staff will ensure each of these is taken care of in the best possible way. Mangia!

The food was okay due to the service from the entry in no greeting at the door the 2 ladies were clearly to busy I get it was Mother's Day but no excuse. We came because my friend a Chef said I should nope nope just unacceptable had to take for bread several times waiting on straws for 30 mins but watched her serve the tables around us with care, connection and concern so disappointing. The experience ruined my prefect Mother's Day. My order was not right and it was like oh I only took a picture of the sampler sorry but not sorry

Another restaurant to try out with my sister's family. When we arrived in Folsom, everyone was famished. I asked my niece and nephew to pick a dinner spot. They chose Italian. And we dined at Visconti's Ristorante! Our pary of 5 (3 adults & 2 kids) arrived at a semi busy time. The hostess informed us of a short wait and we took some seats in the waiting area. Once our table was ready we seated right away by the friendly hostess. Our waiter was hospitable and attentive., Everyone had there own dinner selections, so I went with the following: - Clam Chowder - Combination Pizza - Linguini Calamari The combination pizza was shared all around. The clam chowder had a "just right" potato and clam ratio in every bite. Linguini was a nice al dente and calamari chewy. The sauce was superb in flavor. The pizza was delicious! You could taste the love that it was made with! Great experience! Great Staff!

Minestrone Soup

We made a reservation ahead of time so we were seated right away. Our server was nice, but nothing super engaging. We started with the ravioli and calamari. I didn't try the ravioli, but the calamari could have used more seasoning. We got the large portion and it was A LOT. The garlic bread had a strong garlic flavor which I liked but I do wish it was a bit crispier. I ordered the Linguini alla Italiana without mussels and thought it had good flavor. The shrimp and squid tasted fresh and were cooked well. It came with a side of minestrone soup, which was decent. We ended with dessert, and that was on us for not checking the price beforehand. Each one was around $18, which felt steep. That said, everyone enjoyed what they got, so at least it tasted good LOL.

It's okay. The food is not great and service is okay. Nothing too special about the place. It's not a place I'd frequent or crave.

The flavor was good, but the tomatoes were served quite cold. I think it would have been better if they had at least been room temperature. We both ordered the Chicken Parmigiana with bucatini. The portion size was large, which was nice considering the dish is $32. The chicken was tender and crispy. It was also my first time trying bucatini, and I enjoyed it. I had no idea hollow noodle pasta existed, so that was a fun surprise. I was only able to eat about half of the dish, but it made for good leftovers the next day for lunch. Overall, the food was fine but nothing especially memorable. When I made the reservation through Resy, I selected that we were celebrating a birthday. There was a handwritten birthday card at the table, which was a nice touch. At the end of the meal, we told our waitress we were too full and didn't want any dessert. Despite that, she still brought out a small tiramisu with a candle. I thought it was a nice gesture and assumed it was complimentary, so I was surprised to see a $10 charge on the bill. I wasn't sure if that's standard at some restaurants when you note a birthday on the reservation, but it was my first time experiencing that. I briefly considered asking about it, but it felt awkward in the moment, so I just paid for it and didn't make an issue of it. Since she had already brought it out for us, I did force myself to eat a few bites. The tiramisu itself was soggy, and I also didn't like that it had chocolate syrup on top, which felt a bit unusual to me since I've never had tiramisu served that way before. Overall, we had a pleasant dinner and service was good, but for the price, the food was just okay.

Being…read morethat it was Friday night we decided to make our way towards Chili's where we found this Pizza & Pasta Restaurant called Skipolinis. To me it sounded Italian and being Half-Italian myself, I have to try this place. Like I always do since I'm fond of my Italian heritage. We parked and with plenty of parking we got out of the car and walked up to the front door. As we walked in we were greeted with a friendly young man who had asked if there was just the 2 of us. As we sat down we were then greeted by our Waiter who had asked what would we like to drink. As we were reviewing the menu trying to find something good, I noticed that they had Spaghetti with Marinara and so being that you could also add Meatballs, Chicken or Italian sausage I chose the Meatballs. The waiter advised that the Meatballs were made with Ground Beef & Pork and to my statement "Thats great, I'll take 3 please" It was no more than 5 - 10 minutes that our food arrived. I took a bite of my Meatballs and let me tell you that took me back to my Childhood when my Nonna used to make homemade Meatballs. I chose Penne noodles because I didnt really want regular Spaghetti. My wife chose the Eggplant Parmesan and when she bit into the Eggplant, (The cooking of an Eggplant should be tender) hers was crunchy as if you were biting into an Apple that was almost tender. My wife enjoyed her Spaghetti and Alfredo sauce but she also took a bite of my bread as well. She wasn't really to happy with the Eggplant so the waiter graciously said that he would bring us some Meatballs in replace of the Eggplant since it was crunchy. He returned with 5 Meatballs and just like the ones that I was eating they too were Hot & also delicious as well. Our Waiter Brandon was very friendly, accomodating, Professional and did what he could to make our first time experience at Skipolinis a great experience. The next time we come we are probably gonna try the Calzones and I was very disappointed to know that while they are on the Menu, they didnt have any Cannolis. That's okay, the food was good enough that we will be back. Thanks Skipolinis for some great food and great experience. We will be back.
