Was shopping for a bike, the first sales man we spoke with was a good guy and answered questions honestly. We left for dinner while a battery was being charged, came back and my salesman had left for the night. The new sales woman seemed nice, however sh stated up front that she had never sold a bike before. She didnt know what county we were in, estimated prices on a piece of scratch paper, and kept forgetting my name. The sticker price on the bike was around $7000, I would be a fool to pay sticker price. The saleswoman ran my credit without permission and kept saying I was buying the bike at that price. I repeatedly said I would not pay sticker price. There was no negotiating at all, she kept forgetting my name, kinda important if you want me to spend aroud $10,000 at your business. A final price was never discussed. Looking at all the other reviews on here, this looks like a common practice. Avoid this place, there are plenty of other Harley dealers that actually value your business. read more

I had some service work done here and looked at some bikes. The sales people are totally no pressure and just nice guy. The parts department is great and really knowledgeable. I was looking for some things for my bike. Things to carry and the guy, I think his name was Blake was super knowledgeable and very helpful with everything. He even got me a veteran discount. I also had some work done on the bike and there dropping the bike off at my house free of charge. The only reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is because there current inventory is pretty limited. They said they can order you any bike but I wanted to sit on the bikes and everything. I ended dup buy a bike from there sister location. I would defiantly go here for parts and service advice talk to Blake he's super helpful. read more

Took my 2005 Harley Dyna FXDI Bobber here to sort out an electrical problem (Brake light not working) I expected to pay far more than the amount I was charged. They made good recommendations to simplify the repair, delivered the bike back the same day washed and polished, explained precisely what I might want to add in the future. Nice people, beautiful new showroom facilities: everything I was looking for in a Harley dealer. AND, one can take the Metra train from the Chicago loop straight to Villa Park for $5, and walk just two blocks to the dealer. Solves the bike drop-off and return issue just great. read more

Terrible customer service. Rented a bike from another Harley store and got there and the bike had been in an accident. No one called to tell us. We got sent to Wild fire and they were snobby and extremely unfriendly at the rental counter. Husband was wearing shorts and they wouldn't let him leave with a bike without pants. 2 years ago I did buy new battery for my ultra, salesman told me that this battery will stay around 7 years, wow ! Last month battery came as a garbage, can't hold a power, so time to change and... when I told my story to a cashier, He respond like " o, o, look like he lie to you but he's no longer with us, so now you have to spend again $ 195.00 with 1 year warranty". I bought my bike from Wildfire many years ago, no problem. I buy clothes and other things from Wildfire, no problem. Actually, the girls up front are great. They are helpful, and nice. Wildfire's service department SUCKS!!! Especially the writers. They are lazy and could give a shit how long your bike sits in service. I made an appointment for a Monday. I called on that following Friday to get an update on my bike. I was told, "Let me get the bike into the shop and looked at, I'll call you when we look at it." 5 days it sat without anyone looking at it or giving me an update. If they don't have a part, they sure as hell won't try to find one at another dealer for you. Try talking to the "service Manager" Tony. He will hide in his office and hope you and your problem will go away. He told one of his employees that he "would call me back the next morning." Still waiting for that call. read more

I bought an 06 FXDL about 3 weeks ago...enjoyed the bike (my first Harley) and thought I was getting a pretty good bike. I could have saved some by purchasing on Craig's List, but I thought it was worth it to have a dealership check the bike over for issues, change the oil/fluids, check the breaks, tires, clutch, etc. Well, 200 miles into my new-to-me purchase, the exhaust fell off the bike while on the expressway! Now I've got a horrible sounding bike with no pipes! The dealer's manager has said that they'll find some replacement pipes for me since they had to have been lose when they sold it - at the very least, they didn't do a very thorough inspection. They've been taking about a week and a half so far with no results. I'll update later and let everyone know if they stand behind their product or not. At this point, they'll need to impress me with their professionalism for me to be able to recommend this dealership. So far, it wasn't worth paying extra for this bike through a dealer. :( UPDATE! They got me in this past weekend and replaced my pipes that had fallen off...free of charge! So good job guys - you've proven the value of buying through a reputable dealership. No shortages of complaints here... Wish I saw this before buying. Buyer be ware is the saying for a reason... Go to Craigslist if your looking for a bike. I bought extended warrantee, duh... less than 300 miles or on the bike in three years; they offered less than HALF of the the pay value. I'm so sure a new battery would cost them thousands of dollars. Live and learn people... Even their riders coarse, you will be solicitated every five min. To buy Harley this, buy Harley that. Be a true biker, be a true weekend biker, and tap into that not selling out or buying in, to their scam to take YOU for a ride. Terrible business ethics. Won't tell you any price of the bikes and they're not price labeled. They'll tell you oh it's only $5k and come to sit down find out it was really $10,000. Alfredo in finance is a super shady guy and doesn't like when you ask questions regarding the contract. Watch out for freight and set up fees on used bikes... You took in the bike you didn't set it up and you barely if at all do inspections on them. I was hit and ran on my bike (guy was caught later) and my bike was totalled, since they over charged me and also forgot GAP coverage I now owe $1,100 on a totalled bike I no longer own. I do not own a motorcycle, if I did I would not buy one from these losers that are so desperate for business but do not know how to run a business!! Today will be my last visit to this dealer. The last two visits to the parts department about a month apart have been more than disappointing. They act like they are doing you a favor by selling you parts. Twice thay have tried to sell me the wrong part. When I pointed out the mistake, the parts guy just walked away. (like ...not my problem.) Today I asked them to double check the part. "That's the part." they said. But when I got the old part off, it was different. Called a different dealer to confirm wrong part, It was the wrong part. 2 hours wasted in pulling the old part off. Then they act like it was my fault! These guys are morons! This means that they lied to me about their dealings with HD as well as HD's response. I have no idea why would they keep it for so long without doing anything, then lie to me about it. Do not waste your time with this dealer ********************************************** I would not recommend visiting this dealer for service. I brought my bike in for some work that should have been covered under warranty (and has been for many other people). I know how to use google and search forums and did my research. I explained what was going on when I dropped it off and they kept it for a month without ever calling me back. I called a few times during that period and was told that they'd call me back (they didn't) or that they thought it was waiting for parts (it wasn't). I did eventually get a call that it was ready to pick up - but nothing had been done and nothing was covered. At least there were no charges! Why did this take a month? I explained yet again what I had originally explained when I first brought it in and they said they'd contact HD and see if they would honor the warranty: my bike was blowing fuel pump fuses and also the threads for the oil drain were stripped when I changed the oil - following the torque spec in the manual. This is a known issue w/ Buells. I sure wish I had known it before I changed the oil.... Three weeks later... no calls... I did call a few times and was told that they were working with Harley Davidson, going back and forth, to get it covered. I try not to be a pest and give them the time they need to do things right, but this was getting rediculous. Eventually I found out that nothing had been done and now they want me to pay for their diagnostic time. I didn't ask them to diagnose anything, I knew the problems and described them in detail when I brought the bike in. I gave this dealer 1 star due to their lack of communication, the nearly 2 months that were wasted, and the fact that they accomplished nothing yet wanted to charge me for a bike that is under 1 year old. That said, Dave in service was pleasant and never rude to deal with. Tony the svc mgr was nice enough to wipe out the charges once I explained what had happened. Tony explained that since I performed the maintenance myself, HD would not believe me and that if Wildfire had performed the maintenance we would have a chance of getting this covered. I am actually quite capable of performing my own maintenance and do not enjoy the pressure to have the dealer service your bike. There really is no excuse for this to take nearly two months for nothing. I should have taken the bike elsewhere, or just sucked it up and fixed it myself. This was under the 1st year warranty, so I'm really scared to see how useless the 'extended' warranty will be. read more

I called the dealership a little over a month before I wanted to do a rental, I was told the two guys that schedule rentals would call closer to the date I wanted to rent. Well within a week of when I wanted to rent, I had not gotten a call. I tried all week to get in contact with someone in rentals to reserve a bike. So on the day of the rental, I showed up and of course there were supposedly no bikes to rent. They did have one coming back, but it was going to an employee. The others that were just sitting around were rented to the other employees in the store. When asked as to why they wouldn't rent to someone standing there with cash in hand, the employee replied, "if you took my bike how would I get home?!" Really? You shouldn't have a bike set aside for yourself, you are a rental dept, not a free bike for working? STAY AWAY FROM THEIR RENTALS DEPT!! read more

Purchased a rim for our Harley was told it would be between $150-$200 to install, made appointment they called to tell us it was ready only to be told that the price was over $650. When asked why we were told they put a new tire on the bike without permission, when we questioned we were told to call back because they were closing in 10 minutes. Called back the next day and spoke with store manager, who informed us that we needed to speak with the shop manager. They called back the next day to inform us that there was a nail in the tire and he ASSUMED that we would just want a new one. Told them to put old tire on bike and we would be in to get it. Called later with the updated price which was still over $350 still almost double what we were quoted..... Will never take our bike there again for service. read more

I bought a new Sportster in 03, the 100th Anniversary edition. It was not put together well and the whole clutch assembly fell off, caused me to wreck & tear off the shift lever out of the transmission. They charged me full price to fix it and took no responsibility at all for the problem. Only Ozzie the owner has the authority to make any decisions. He is never there and doesn't return phone calls or emails. He is a control freak and micro manager. Ozzie gives his underlings no authority to deal with stuff or make decisions and he is a playboy always out running around. Ozzie is rarely at the dealership taking care of business. I seriously considered turning them in to the Better Business Bureau. I probably should have. I would never buy anything from them again and I would suggest you try a different dealer in Chicagoland, as there are plenty to choose from. I only gave them 1 star because it didn't seem to be a choice to give them none or negative stars. I was so mad I would loved to have gotten a hold of Ozzie by the throat back in 03. I have cooled off a little bit in the last 8 years, but not much as you can probably tell. read more

Integrity is a MUST to have our business. Needless to say as you can see from the 1 star review, that very thing is missing. We had confirmed twice with Them that we were driving an hour plus to see a bike that we've been looking for and was advertised on the website. Going back and forth with the Internet guy making sure things were going to be the making of a great experience. We showed up earlier than our appointment in anticipation of this bike, if it is as shown it was going home with us that day. To my surprise when we met with the salesman we were told they had gave it away that morning to some transport deal. Then surprise surprise, we will give you a '16 Limited to test drive. We didn't drive that far to be played Bait & Switch games...we truly believe this isn't just a fluke that happened. We will be purchasing the bike we want but I am willing to pay more cash for doing business with a dealership that holds integrity. Extremely disappointed and suggest a different dealership to anyone planning on buying a unit. Should you decide not to take this in consideration...best of luck to you. What a joke this dealerships parts department is. AVOID BRUCE (aka BUD) AT ALL COSTS. He orders parts that you do not need and then when you confront him about it he takes NO responsibility for it (even when you prove it is his name on the receipt that sold the parts to you in the first place). The only thing he knows how to do is to read a book and punch the numbers into a computer. The other parts guys are a joke too. The only one who had a clue was John Faust but his depth of knowledge must have been a threat to the others in the dept so they took him out of the parts dept. read more

Don't go to these thieves. I came in just to look around and from the start they pressure you to run a credit app. After the credit app they will ask you how much you're willing to pay per month. What they will do is put you on a plan for 80 months that will bring your payment down very low. What they won't tell you is the specific terms of the payment plan. If you do the math, they will stick you with financing that will cost you twice as much as the bike is worth. They even told me that they couldn't discuss my credit/% rate because it was against their policy. After going to another Harley dealer I found out that they are REQUIRED to show you all the documentation. I'm reporting them to Harley. I'm so glad I walked out of there and went to a different dealer. GO TO ANYBODY BUT THEM. I think I would feel more comfortable buying a bike from China than these thieves. read more

I bought a bike from this dealership which had a breakdown after riding it for 3 monthes i had it towed into the dealership and thats when my experience went bad,very bad! The people who work in the service department don't know their ass from a hole in the ground. Every time you call to get a hold of this dept you get put on hold for 10 mins. and then when you do get to speak with someone from service nobody can answer a simple question about the status of your bike. They continually feed you bullshit and they not once contacted me to give me an update on repair status and they have had my bike for 5 weeks now. They also sold me a wheel and tire warranty and refuse to honor it. I would strongly suggest anyone interested in buying a Harley to not purchase from WILDFIRE HARLEY Davidson. If I could give negative stars for this place I would. I have heard so many horror stories about this particular place but let me just tell you about my personal experience. My boyfriend and I are in the market for a motorcycle and started shopping for one. He made the mistake if going to villa park after I told him not to. He learned real quick why. Looking at the same bike on six different trips the salesman would not start it up for him. Not even once, but proceed to ask for a down payment. Are you kidding me? Don't even know if it runs and you want money. We will be driving an hour away to purchase thank you very much. Customer service horrible, service department horrible and sales department the worst. My husband brought his bike in for an "express oil change" last weekend during their block party event. Realizing that they were probably really busy he called first to ask if they were doing "express" oil changes and they told him they were, never saying there was a long wait. When he arrived and they checked his bike in they never stated how many were in front of him or gave him any timeline for their "express" oil change. One and a half hours later he complained to the manager. The manager checked on his bike and said "they had it near a mechanic" and walked away. Another one and a half hours later his bike was finally finished. When he looked at his $100 bill for a three hour "express" oil change he called the same manager over. He complained again for having to wait so long asked him if he could do something with the bill or at least give him a free t-shirt for waiting. The manager replied, "I can't do that". Well next time my husband needs to buy anything from Harley, he "won't be doing that" at this dealership! I guess we should have learned our lesson the two other times we were in this dealership and received poor service or were completely ignored. read more

I was in the market for something larger than my fatboy and they had a nice looking eletra glide. when i went down there they rushed me through the sale never giving real answers to my questions about the bike and its history always telling me "oh ya the bike is clean, really clean". when i got the bike home i realised the radio didnt work so i called them the next day to see about getting it fixed. I talked to Tom who sold me the bike and he gave me the run around for a week untill i had the time to run back down there. After spending hours waiting for them to figure out what was wrong with the radio they came back with there must have been water damage and if i paid another $500 they would install a factory radio, and they also admitted that noone in the service dept ever looked at the bike when they got it. I wish i could go back in time and pass on this bike. if i had known that the radio didnt work an it had never been looked at by service i would not have bought the bike. i know these people took advantage of me. read more

This past Sunday, I was in motor clothes for a few minutes Just browsing, and then started towards the bikes. After sitting on and looking at a few different bikes for nearly 15 minutes, None of the salesmen could be bothered to approach me or ask me what I thought of the bike, which was the road king... finally, a man with tattoos on his neck came up to me and asked me how I was doing I ignored him the way I was ignored and just walked out. I've bought from chitown and Conrad's before but was in the area, thought I'd check it out and my god, what an awful waste of a Sunday. I will never EVER be back to Wild Fire Harley-Davidson. Ever. Review for Merchandising department, not service or parts: Let me start out by saying I am not a bike owner, the man in my life is. I am fairly new to the motorcycle lifestyle but am quickly embracing it so much so that I finally decided to customize my own look by purchasing a helmet rather than wearing his spare all black basic one. I found one on line that I fell in love with. Knowing full well that helmets are non-refundable I made what I thought was a smart move by going to a store to have my noggin sized before purchase. Man do I wish I read the reviews before I chose this particular store for the actual purchase. I live in Lombard so Villa Park seemed the obvious choice. Wrong, wrong, wrong. So very disappointing. I went over, got sized and made the purchase (paid in full) on 6/22/15. The website and the store told me that the item was on back order until 7/31/15; not awesome news but I went in there already knowing that. My opinion was I'd rather wait for the one that I really wanted as compared to settling for a different one that was immediately available. I called for an update on 7/30/15, was told over the phone that the item had not made it to the warehouse yet but was expected on 7/31/15, would take a few days to get to the store and that someone would call me when my item arrived. I wait until 8/5/15 to call for an update. I spoke with Morgan in merchandising. She informed me that my visor came in but the helmet itself was again placed on back order this time with a date of 8/22/15. I asked why no one had informed me verbally or email of the extension, she said it is not their policy to do so and it is usually the customers responsibility to keep checking on their own purchase. She said that her manager was not in that day and the manager was the one with "all the connections" to check in on the order beyond what the computer was telling her. She said the manager would have to call me back after 10am the following day (8/6/15). Again I, not their staff or manager, called them back on 8/7/15 after hearing nothing once more. Same merchandising employee was on the line. She said there was no change in the delivery date thus far. As I explained I wasn't calling for that. I was calling to speak to the all knowing wizard behind the curtain mystery manager. She asked that I hold, came back on the line and then told me that her manager told her the same thing. Oh... ok. I did not appreciate the fact I asked on two different conversations to speak with a manager and was unsuccessful twice. So I asked to be contacted if any further change in deliver date was made aware and if/when my helmet arrives.Approximately 20 min later Merchandising manager Val called me back. To be fair she was absolutely apologetic and trying to be as sweet as she could in the face of my increasingly sour disposition. She explained a few things that I already knew like relying on unreliable outside manufacturers is in fact an unreliable system and that no one really has any control on outside vendors. (Sidebar: I hope these outside vendors are at the least American factories!?! Funny, that part doesn't get advertised or mentioned anywhere) and that their dealership does pride themselves on their customer service. She explained that there is no system in place to alert the staff of any back order extensions at this time and that they have far too many special orders to even keep up with those phone calls. So here I wait. I am fully aware that it is not under the control of Wildfire that the parts are back ordered. That is not my beef here. Their supposedly stellar customer service is more than tarnished in my eyes. Communication is a skill that needs work here between staff and customers. Where is it the customers job to chase their purchase down? I run a shop. I order parts and supplies very frequently. This is not how I am treated anywhere else. Maybe I didn't spend enough money to be on anyone's radar? More likely that this is just the way things are done around their place. As a consolation I was offered the option of cancelling the order for a store credit to apply towards an different in-stock helmet. I did not take them up on their offer. If I wanted another helmet I would have indeed bought one the day I was there trying them on. I have very little faith the actual item will even arrive before end of riding season and even less faith that when or if it does that I will be notified of it. At this rate I should begin shopping for a a Christmas bow for when it eventually (if ever) arrives. read more

I was in this dealer a couple weeks ago doing some anniversary shopping for my husband. Not really being 100% sure on what parts I was looking for or even the correct names of parts, I was able to communicate with such ease. Damien helped me and didn't make me feel dumb for not really knowing what I was talking about. He made me feel comfortable and confident that I bought the rights parts for my husbands bike, also parts that he truly wanted. Everyone in the parts department was very friendly and I feel confident in going back knowing they will take care of me and I can trust that the parts I buy will make for many more happy ocasions for my husband!! There is a girl on sales floor that associates talked to about helping them make a deal and I overheard them saying she's bitter because she gets half the commission the male sales manager gets???? Really? I will get back to credit in a moment. The sales people are not friendly and not enthused to be there it appears. Total different experience at WOODSTOCK Harley-Davidson.. Fun, Integrity, Helpful.. Great place to hang out. So now credit.. The DEAL Wild Fire made me had my credit rating at 6.99% when I have great credit I find out at WOODSTOCK my loan would be 3.99%??? So Wild Fire was ripping me off for 3% on a $25,000 motorcycle? I overheard WOODSTOCK manager says "Yep happens a lot" they can make more profit by hitting you for 3 points"????? What? So..
