This place is great, went in and received immediate service. A wide variety of food to choose from on the menu. Waiting only a few minutes for great tacos and to top it off an amazing 2 by 2 tower of churros topped with ice cream and chocolate sauce. A pretty cool place here and glad we came in and ate. Guac N Tacos is a small casual Mexican place. It has a few locations including this on North Avenue in Elmhurst. Has these small tacos but they have big flavor. Try meaty or the vegetarian. Cool place for lunch. It's best for when you're not real hungry. The tacos are really small. Because they have a bunch of different ones it makes it easier to sample a few. We of course needed something to drink, so we got Corona from the beer menu. It's $6 a bottle. That's the biggest problem about here. Beer is too fucking expensive. It's better for the food. We had some of the Tacos. It's $3.75 for most flavors. The Vegan Hibiscus Flower has cilantro, onions, and tomatoes. It doesn't taste much like actual flowers. The other ingredients hide it. Besides this there's a couple more vegan tacos to choose from. The Vegan Mushroom is a lot heartier and heavier. It's my favorite. This has corn and grilled onions. Also has plenty of meaty choices. It's not just beef or chicken either. Friends and I stopped here for lunch on a Saturday. It's a small storefront with its own parking lot. The menu is largely tacos with some other offerings as well. My vegetarian and vegan friends were happy to see several viable options for them. They hoped to try the vegan hibiscus flower tacos, but they were not being served that day, so instead went for the veggie tacos and mushroom tacos, along with chips and guac, and were satisfied with everything, particularly the guacamole. I had the steak taco and the al pastor taco, but forgot to ask for no cilantro, and as it turns out they chop it pretty finely, so if you don't want cilantro, ask! It's hard to pick off. The "awesome corn" (elotes) was fairly tasty, though could have used a bit more spice. Lime jazzed up both the corn and the tacos for me. Another friend diverted from the taco trend and got the steak quesadilla, which he enjoyed. First of all, can customer service sucks the girl at the register? I don't know what she's doing taking orders. She doesn't even speak English I say hello nothing. That was my first sign how well this is gonna go. So ask her 2 taco dinners. One with steak & chicken. And extra taco with the chicken dinner charge me $32 for 2 dinners. Plus a $1.35 for cheese.. So I was standing by the window where they make the food. She told me to stand over where place my order. How would I know if you don't open your mouth.. So she gave me attitude. I stay over there. I needed lunch quickly so I stopped by this spot. The exterior looks ok but the interior is very nice, contemporary. A nice lady took my order. 2 steak & 1 chicken tacos @ $2.75 each. Not bad. No lunch time combos which costed it a star plus kinda high prices on rice, guac. I know it's tough times but sum combos where u can save at least 2-3 bucks would be nice. The tacos were light, healthy vs your neighborhood spot. Lots of cilantro on tacos which I love. If u don't mind spending at least $15-20 for food then this is your spot. Decided to give this place a second chance after the first time my food was served cold unfortunately, this time all orders were cold--AGAIN. During both instances, we ordered tacos so I'm assuming the meat is probably cooked and then left until needing to serve. Tasty food, just wish it was served warm/hot. read more

I just happened to have meeting in Elmhurst and decided I wanted tacos for lunch. I stopped in for carry out and the wait to place my order was minimal with only few people in line. I ordered 2 steak tacos which were really good, a pork belly taco which was my favorite and a chicken taco which wasn't really good at all as the chicken was dry and bland. I was surprised by the chicken taco as all the others were very tasty. This is not a place to make a special trip to, but if I'm in the area I definitely will grab the steak and pork belly tacos again. Good location and great idea for fast tacos but definitely needs some improvements. The pork belly tacos was delicious as well as the chorizo and carne asada. The place was empty so there's was no excuse for dirty tables and bathrooms!! The corn was really bad tasting, like and over processed can corn. Fresh corn would be so much better. Visiting Elmhurst from Naperville with my husband! And we popped in just to try a new restaurant. We ordered both a steak Burrito and and Veggie Burrito. On account of the steak Burrito my husband did not enjoy the unseasoned steak. As I did not enjoy the Veggie Burrito that was poorly made, and sloppily put together. Note that after my Husband paid for the food, we sat in the lounge areas and noticed the filthy floors; as an addition to the crumb filled tables. It's sad to see a good place lose it's quality when they expand.. I used to visit their first location in Elmhurst often and I stopped at the Downers grove location for lunch almost 3 times a week.. I'm only writing this review because I was unhappy with my last 4 visits. For starters they began using less meat in their tacos. When ordered to go the tacos were cold when I got home 4 min away. Their guac isn't always fresh sometime it tastes like it's been in the fridge for 3 days.. I placed a big order my last visit and the 2 almost 5 dollar fish tacos I enjoyed the most weren't in the bag when I got home.. that and fighting with my family over the few half field salsas they put in the bag upset me. The food is pretty good but the prices are ridiculously expensive!! I ordered the steak tacos and they were good but they charge extra for cheese and extra for sour cream. A taco is $5. It's good but not that good. A side of beans is almost $5 as well as a side of rice. $10 for a side of rice and beans is ridiculous! And it's a small side! I went last week to get two steak tacos. They were good but skimpy on the steak. It's find if the price is cheap but I expected it to have more steak for the price I paid. Also I noticed a man in the kitchen without wearing a mask. One man wore a mask and one didn't. I thought it was a requirement to wear a mask if you are around food. My new favorite taco place! We have been here a handful of times and the food is delicious. Everything I have tried has been really good. Love the margaritas too! We enjoy eating on the back patio because of the cool canopy and lights! I appreciate that they made an effort to create an enjoyable outdoor eating space since inside is closed.
