I almost just feel bad for the owners. We are an avid twice a week chick-fil-a family. This location boasts a very clean atmosphere and usually a fast line both inside and out. We have never gotten a complete and correct order here. Never. Today was the last straw when I got home to see something in the bag I can't eat. I'm not driving back, that's just silly. When I tell them about their mistakes they are always kind and offer to swap out items and have once given us free cards for future visits. Months after reopening it's clear they haven't worked this error out and I'm done. I will be driving the extra few miles to another location. Y'all need to take a lesson from the Chick-fil-A on MLK Drive in terms of managing your drive-through.

I never personally go to this place because I do not like the politics they represent. But my son loves it and I take him sometimes. The food is not bad, just nothing to write home about. On this day we went through the drive through at this location which we had never been to before. My son ordered a meal, and I just ordered some French fries. We both asked for a cup of water also. My son also asked for some special sauces for dipping with his meal. After we got through the drive-thru we pulled over in the parking lot of the center to eat because we were waiting to go to an appointment. We soon discovered that not only had they not put the special sauce in that he requested but they did not even put in ketchup for the French fries. So, I walked back up to the drive through an ask them for the missing items which they supplied. Then we went back and started to finish our meal. At that point I discovered not only did they not also give us napkins but the out of the two Styrofoam cups of water that they gave us one of them was leaking and had leaked all over in the cup holders. When I tired to call over to the store to talk to the manager, as I did not want to walk back over again, all I got was a recording. One of these mishaps on its own would have been understandable but all these put together made this extremely unacceptable and yet another good reason not to ever go back there again. read more

Wow, since the re-open it is SO inefficient and SLOW. I've driven by 4 or 5 times in the last week and each time passed and went elsewhere because they were ~10 cars deep in each of their 2 lines. Lately it feels like the once speedy drive thru is finding a way to take longer and longer to get through. In the past 6 months I haven't had a single issue with getting the wrong food, but the speed of service, despite having 2 lanes has found a way to dependably irritate me. The last time I was here, the lady in a van 2 cars up needed to pay cash. Somehow that required another attendant, one that was not even working drive thru, to be summoned from the restaurant. While 5 cars passed me in the other lane, myself and 4 cars behind me sat hostage while we waited for appropriate change to be counted. This seems incredibly inefficient. The orders are also not brought out to the cars in an orderly fashion. I received my food and drink before 2 cars in front of me. So, again, I sat and waited for other cars ahead of me with more complex orders to be delivered. All the while, my food is sitting in the seat getting cold and soggy. Chick-Fil-A needs to work on these issues. read more

Yes, it's Chick-Fil-A, so you all already know about the food. You either like it or you don't, that is not news here. What this review is about is this particular store. It is a fabulous location in every which way. Here's the rundown, as I see it! 1. The staff is super friendly. No matter how busy they are, everyone is smiling and treats you with respect. I've been when it was slow and when it was packed, and you always get fantastic service! 2. Super duper clean! This store is so clean. You always see at least one person out cleaning tables, the playground, the bathrooms, etc. If you do see something on the floor or a table, it's cleaned up within a minute or two. It's nice to be in a clean fast food joint. 3. There is usually at least one person walking around checking on the customers. I'm usually here during the day and their is always a nice older lady there. She checks on each table to see if they need anything or even to take away trays and garbage. It's a nice extra customer service. 4. They have an option for the kiddos and their kid meals. If your kid doesn't want the toy, they can trade it in for ice cream! ICE CREAM! Who needs toys when you can get ice cream. If you like Chick-Fil-A, this location is fantastic! read more

Why am I a reviewing a chain restaurant? I'll tell you why. Chick-Fil-A is best in its class of fast food restaurants and I want to make a philosophical point about the fact that we should all be the best we can be and not the best we can be paid. So this review is more about the chain as a whole than this location that I frequent the most. "Chick-Fil-A" is my standard response to the overused cliche explanation of "You get what you pay for". We live in a world that is tolerating poor service more and more all the time and we are all "buying it" so long as it is cheap. I always get crappy service in fast foot restaurants and it pisses me off. My friends who see that this gets under my skin are always quick to defend the crappy service with "What do you expect? They don't get paid squat". To which I reply "Bull crap. Do the employees at Chick-Fil-A get paid double or triple what these guys get?" Here is how my experiences at Chick-Fil-A compare to my experience at every other fast food restaurant: Chick-Fil-A: I am promptly and cheerfully greeted by an employee that is outwardly projecting that they are happy to work there. The staff I see always appear to be doing their very best and are doing it with pride. Standard fast food restaurant: I get greeted by a disinterested person who appears miserable to be working there. This is usually accompanied by a "go to hell" attitude during the ordering and payment process. Of course, it's the customers fault that they are stuck in this low paying job. The staff are usually going out of there way to sink as little effort into their work as humanly possible. Chick-Fil-A: I am provided with a straw and ample napkins every time I go through the drive-thru. Standard fast food restaurant: Half the time at the drive-thru I don't get the straw or napkins without asking for them. Really? How am I suppose to drink this, meat-head? What am I going to wipe my mouth clean with afterward? It doesn't occur to the person providing service that every human being deserves these basic accommodations every time. Chick-Fil-A: I am provided with ample catsup for consumption with fries. Standard fast food restaurant: Yep. I have to ask for catsup too. When I do I get the "How many packets do you need?" response. "Hell I don't know, you moron. I need as many packets as it takes to dip the top quarter inch of every fry. How many do you suppose that is? How about you just throw a handful of packets in there and we'll see what happens". Gimme a break. Do you really need to save money by cutting down on condiment distribution?. Chick-Fil-A: Here in Austin I have observed at busy locations during peak times and heavy congestion employees with radios are out in the parking lot taking orders from customers in the drive-thru lane well ahead of the actual automated drive-thru menu in order to expedite the ordering process and keep the traffic moving quickly. It works! Standard fast food restaurant: Not a chance they would do something to improve the long wait at peak times. You can wait in line in the hot sun until you starve or die of boredom for all they care. Hell they would be happy to see you take your business elsewhere. There not about to do anything out of the ordinary. Chick-Fil-A: The interior is always clean and the bathrooms are as well. I'm never disgusted to eat in there or to use their bathroom facilities. Standard fast food restaurant: Hit or miss on the cleanliness. I mean they got to do the minimum I suppose so the health department doesn't shut them down. So I usually see some marginal employee with a rag dragging their heels and doing the absolute minimum cleaning. The bathrooms are usually an embarrassment. The only distinction in benefits for the employees that I can obviously point to is the that the company's corporate culture places huge value on family and human dignity and gives all employees Sundays off. Chick-Fil-A is always closed on Sundays so that their employees can spend one day of the week with family and/or in practicing their faith. Perhaps this attitude with their upper management attracts like minded employees and that is why they have consistency among all of their restaurants nationwide that I have ever visited. I am just fine with them being closed one day per week if it contributes to their excellence all the other days of the week. Kudos to Chick-Fil-A and their employees for serving as a shining example of "Be your best" and "do your very best" as opposed to "you get what you pay for" and "I don't get paid for that"! read more

I've always enjoyed Chick-Fil-A but this particular location is special for me. It's walking distance from my workplace, so I can count on at least enjoying lunch. The staff is also really, really nice. Other Chick-Fil-As I've been to have just been the standard fast food joint. This one gives you a sort of waiter service. Their salads are excellent and their sandwiches are very satisfying. Today I stopped in because I reserved one of their new spicy chicken sandwiches. My spicy chicken sandwich heart is typically held by Wendy's, but this one could definitely give it a run for its money. The only reason I knock off a star is because I'm not a huge fan of their breading and also I don't get why people talk about the chicken nuggets here. I'll admit it: I like McDonald's nuggets. Normally I don't write reviews for chain restaurants, because I am a pretentious Austin person who likes to "Keep Austin Weird" (I'm cool like that), but this location of Chick-Fil-A is going to be an exception. Why? They have the best customer service that I have ever experienced at a fast food restaurant. The workers at other fast food restaurants are usually surly and disgruntled, understandable given the nature of the work, which usually doesn't put me in a good mood. But here at this Chick-Fil-A, all the employees are smiling and I can tell that it isn't fake smiling. It's real and genuine. Unbelievable. Should I say that all the employees are always in "gay" spirits? There is one employee (I think he is a manager) that always makes my day when he helps me. I believe his name is Justin. Justin is always so nice and personable and makes sure that I get what I need. I can't say enough about Justin, because he is the best fast food employee that I've come across. Everyone else who works there is also super nice. The older folks who work there are adorable and always eager to help. I've never seen a worker unhappy here before. What is it that they put in the chicken to make everyone so gay? Oops, I mean HAPPY :). Great food, great service. read more

I come here because it's convenient on my way. It's not the best Chick-Fil-A serviced restaurant, sometimes I feel the floor and tables could be cleaned more thoroughly, but this may be due to low staffing. To elaborate I think the best Chick-Fil-A for customer service is the one on Research Blvd, that recently got renovated. I like this location, because ordering inside is always faster than the drive-thru and they always get my order right. Parking will be tight if you come at a crowded hour. However this Chick-Fil-A is good, the customer service just isn't exceptional that I've come to expect from Chick-Fil-A. I did have a good experience when I took my twins here on their 2nd birthday weekend. They did provide exceptional service and gave them complimentary ice cream. read more

Love this place! My kids love it and the food. I love the dress like a cow day was a lot of fun! The food is always good. Only complaint would be speed of service in drive thru it is slow sometimes. Grilled nugget machine was down and kids wanted grilled. I was going to give a 2 for the grilled nuggets and the very slow moving drive thru but the lady at the window was so nice and so engaging. So this is my regular location, I normally get breakfast. But when I do the the strips, they're normally not like this. They're typically thicker and not so shrimpy. The large fry is normally has the same amount of fries as the medium too. I'm not sure if it's a management thing or what but it's just odd for Chick-fil-A. CFA is totally awesome. However, not all locations are created equal. During 80% of our drive-thru visits here, our order has been incorrect: Fried instead of grilled nuggets, fries instead of a fruit cup, wrong sauce, ghost sauce, wrong toy etc. My advice, no matter how long the drive-thru line is behind you, double check your order before leaving. So many times I've returned home to disappointedly discover a CFA "surprise" lunch. read more
