Hell yeah! Food is as good as their politics!

I'm from the Midwest where Chic Fil A is everywhere. Every one I have ever been to has overly friendly employees who you truly believe are pleased to serve you, plenty of staff for even the most busy of times, spotless restrooms and dining rooms, and pretty darn good food for a fast food joint. Sadly this was not our experience at the Bellevue Chic Fil A this past Saturday night. It was extremely crowded with register lines out the door and drive through lines out of the parking lot. Nothing seemed to move particularly fast. We finally got close to the register and the problem became apparent. There was only one person at the registers. Looking around it was obvious every station was understaffed. I went to find a table while my husband ordered. The dining room was filthy. Every single empty table had food on them. The floors looked like they hadn't been swept in hours. One guy finally came out to start sweeping and I asked him if he would mind wiping our table really quick before the kids sit down. He said he'd get to it and proceeded to finish sweeping the entire dining room before wiping down the tables. I asked him if this business is typical for a Saturday night and he said yes, ever since they opened. I was surprised since they seemed so unprepared. The food finally came and it was all over cooked. My son wouldn't even eat his nuggets because they were so dry. Overall, so disappointing. We tried the one in Lynnwood and the experience was just like the Chic Fil A's in the Midwest. I'm not sure what's going on in Bellevue. read more

It's been about three months and the line is still too long. It's a good thing but in this case it's just horrible. I feel like getting their chicken is the luck of the draw. If the line is short, congrats because the police that is guiding traffic will let you in. However, when the line is long then the police makes you leave so that you don't block traffic. Understandable but most of the time there are TONS of parking spots available inside. One time when I was lucky enough to get in, park my car and grab food to go....they forgot part of my order ): When we called they said they would give us a free one when I came in next.... But I can't even get inside the Parking lot these days. On another occasion as I waited for my food, I watched a group of friends sit together and eat their food except for one guy. His meal took so long or was forgotten about that his friends ended up finishing their meal and drinks and his order never even arrived by the time they had to leave. A supervisor resolved the issue and he was well on his was. It was just sad to watch. The last few attempts to try it again all failed. Sure I can park my car blocks away and walk but it's not worth it to be honest. The chicken is good and I prefer it over majority of the drive thrus but I rather not waste my time trying to go to the Bellevue location to get turned down at the entrance. I normally order the chicken sandwich meal with the nuggets. Always a mistake because it's too much chicken in one sitting for me. The nuggets are really good but not for the price. The chicken sandwich is a decent price and it taste pretty good. Waffle fries are ok. The first time I ordered them they were bland. I use lots of dipping sauce. The selection of sauces are wonderful compared to others. Try all of them! There are a lot of workers inside and in my experience there are more cashiers than there are customers waiting in line. This one of the reasons why the lines are always so short inside but the wait time after ordering is still pretty long. Overall, I don't plan on coming back until they figure everything out and the hype dies down. read more

So the grilled chicken sandwich is a dieter's delight! Low in calories, huge on flavor! OH AND THE WAFFLE FRIES!!! This chain is a staple in other cities where I have lived (Dallas, Denver) Great Service, great food, head and shoulders above other fast food chains. Fast food chicken, pretty much the same as the rest of the average fast food places around. Am I missing something? I draw this conclusion from my very recent visit to the establishment where I got a to-go meal. The fries were soggy and bland, the strawberry shake was way to sweet. The oreo one was better, but I probably only drunk a quarter before binning it. The grilled chicken burger was mediocre. Also I have been unable to find any information about where they source their chicken from. I try to eat free range wherever possible after seeing how chickens live cruel and tortured lives. I think it is shameful that an establishment like this is not able to support even the minimal bar required to be free range certified. Shame on you Chick-fil-A. read more

Not worth the hype! Yes, they do make a good chicken sandwich compared to other fast food chains like McDonalds or Jack in the Box. However, the wait is much too long to justify something so simple. The reason for just two stars is because of the bad service we experienced on our visit. We had to wait quite a while for some of our food and it seemed like some of the employees who saw is standing there didn't really care to resolve the problem themselves. The servers were mostly young, undertrained and inexperienced. Once the hype dies down and a quick drive thru is possible, it might make more sense to come back! read more

The best chicken biscuits, sandwiches and tenders of any fast food in the country. So glad it's finally here!!! And they offer lunch for breakfast, convenient. "Reviewers" like Ariana S. have a rotten agenda. They don't like the fact that Chic Fil A is a Christian company and automatically target this place with bad reviews (among other reasons). Nothing to do with their service and food. In truth, they have excellent service, cleanliness and and wonderful chicken sandwiches. I'm a foodie. I eat food from all over. From first hand experience, this is hands down one of the best chicken sandwiches you can buy. For the price, it makes it even better. A drive-thru line wrapped around the building, out to local roads and interrupts traffic. I did the drive-thru line patiently with 3 kids in the van, all was fine until I drive away and came home only to realize I only received half my order (frustration). This paying without receiving my entire order process is not just a one-time-fluke, it's a regular occurrence. . I only give 2 stars because the food I do receive is decent. read more

I got the usual spicy chicken sandwich with fries hoping for the same old Chick-Fil-A that I grew up with, but something was... off. It didn't taste quite the same, the breading was lousy at staying on. It was a strange experience. The sandwich tasted close enough to what I remembered, but didn't quite put it all together. The mystery is finally solved. After decades of hearing how amazing the chicken is I can honestly say from the bottom of my heart, the product is so incredibly overrated I could laugh. There was nothing special about the product and to be honest with you, it was far worse than a host of other chicken options. When I expressed my dissatisfaction, I was quickly educated on Chick Fil A Vs. KFC. In shock, I listened politely, but post explanation, I quickly explained that I am not a fan or customer of KFC. Ezell's used to be my go to spot for chicken, but their quality has gone downhill and their service was always in need of help. At the end of the meal, Chick Fil A went out of their way to make sure I was happy. I didn't leave happy or even satisfied, but I will say that I was impressed with the service. The meal was a 3, borderline 2, but with the efforts put forth to correct my concerns, I have to give them a 5 for service. Doubtful I will be back or recommend them, but at the risk of sounding insensitive, these guys don't know chicken. My mother was from New Orleans and my father from Oakland and we fried chicken often growing up and what I ate today, wasn't even as good as cafeteria fried chicken. Walked in around 9 am on opening day. Lots of activity but there was no line to order inside. The drive thru was packed though. The man who took my order was very enthusiastic. Not sure if that's a corporate thing or just his misdemeanor but I was caught up in the opening day hype so I went along with it. Food came out quickly and I was addressed by name. I've only been to one other Chick Fil A and it was in the drive thru so I'm not sure if this is normal or not. Food was hot and fresh but the hash browns were a little soft and soggy from sitting in their nifty little hash box. I like that they have Simply Orange juice versus the cheaper watered down stuff. Paid about $6 for a spicy chicken biscuit with egg combo. Not bad at all for breakfast in Bellevue. read more

Just went there with a bunch of coworkers for lunch. We had a nice mix of enthusiasts and rookies. Spicy chicken sandwich, chjcken strips, waffle fries, chicken sandwiches, delicious, hot and fresh. I recommend the honey mustard sauce, but all of the sauces are excellent. Service was phenomenal despite the wait in line (which was actually pleasant, they provided us with drink samples and party favors). Everything was run efficiently and the design is very nice - a hybrid indoor / outdoor dining experience. Simply above other fast food options in the area. Very reasonably priced, will be returning on a weekly basis. read more

Parked a long ways away, waited in line, ordered for my family. They give me 2 large bags. They are known for their customer service so skipped taking inventory. Get home 35 minutes later fighting traffic. Short 2 spicy chicken sandwiches. Tried to call the store, no answer, message is full. Not a good experience in chicken. read more

The food is fine, standard Chicken-fil-a, the customer service is terrible. I placed a large order on the app and when I got home, realized one of the sandwiches was missing. I live pretty far from their location and was obviously annoyed as one of my family members now didn't have dinner. I called the restaurant to let them know about my missing item and they told me I'd have to come back in order to get my $5 dollars back, they couldn't process the refund over the phone. It would cost me more in gas to drive all the way there and back home and all to fix their mistake. read more

The employees were great and the restaurant is impeccably clean for as many people they have. They're operating like clockwork. Get you in and out pretty quick. Very good ordering and food delivery system. The food.. Blah. Maybe it was just over hyped to me by everyone talking about it. The chicken strips were ok. Kind of greasy and not crispy. Maybe they were sitting in a large batch warmer for awhile? The sauces were fairly good. The signature Chick-Fil-A I thought was the best. The others tasted like they needed salt. By the grace of the man above I was able to successfully enter the drive thru line on opening day (4/9/15) on my 3rd attemp. Yes, it took me 3 times to actually get in line. It was definitely worth the wait. The employees assisting in the driver thru line were so friendly and just all out amazing. I expected the wait time to be super long but they had an amazing system in place that kept the line flowing. I ordered the Grilled Chicken Club Sandwich and the Chicken Strips. The Chicken Strips could have been better, I personally like my chicken strips crispy and they barely were. The Grilled Chicken Club on the other hand was AMAZING!!!! I would recommend that to EVERYONE!!!! The chicken itself was so tender and seasoned, the bacon was actually crispy and had flavor (unlike that cold stuff other places gives you). The tomatoe on there was just great and the choice of Colby Cheese was perfect! I definitely will be coming back for another Chicken Club. I loved the little ketchup packet, you had to option to dip or to sneeze. The ranch was a buttermilk that was perfect with the chicken strips and fries. I personally didn't care for the barbecue sauce. As it was the real thing (runny) and not thick which it kind of spilt with I first opened it (I was driving home eating in my defense). I ordered the Lemonade because I heard it was good. That Lemonade was LIFEEEEE!!!!! I seriously am glad I got a large. I also ordered the Sweetened Ice Tea since the employee in the drive thru said it was like "Southern" tea (meaning sweet). It was sweet, I am very impressed. My overall experience was great. I grew up in the south and I love Chick-fil-a. This location is in the worst spot being that most locations fill up for lunch/dinner and need more parking. This location just has no way to overflow! However, after circling around the blocks a few times we finally got in the lot. I appreciated the workers watching cars moving while we parked/left. It's tight when it's busy if you choose to stay on site. The layout here is new/different than others we have been to. It seems smaller. And a lot of the seating is outdoors(covered). No playspace. I did like how they handled the food you waited on....you get a cone with sauces/straws/etc and a number if you are staying. They do bring out the food to you. If you are taking it to go you stand with your colored cone and they bring it to you. Which leaves a huge group of people right where you need to get more napkins. It's a weird system, but I also see how it works well. I just wish the people waiting would back up. Unlike other locations they are too busy to come around to get drink refills and take your trash. Most locations play Christian music, but it's too loud here to know if they had music on? Food is still awesome. We come for the food. And if it weren't so busy we would come more often!!! I blame the small location for part of the issues though. open a dozen more and perhaps we won't have such a busy location! We like the spicy sandwich(no pickle) most. The grilled sandwich is very good as well. And those nuggets! Love them. I haven't been able to get here to try their breakfast yet, but if like other locations it should be awesome. read more

I was drawn in by the hype and all the traffic commotion, but was it worth it? Not entirely. There's something good about just fried chicken, but slapping some bread on top of it doesn't make it better, it just takes away from the chicken. That being said, the chicken is good, not something I would get in line for. Thankfully, it is fast food, so we got our food almost instantly - which surprised me given the drive thru line outside. Back to the chicken sandwich, I added mayo, which I thought made the sandwich more balanced. The chicken is juicy but I think the MSG taste comes out strongly. Chicken nuggets were not that great though, I expected them to be a little crispier - they were a little soggy and I wouldn't get them again. What I love was the Polynesian sauce... Just wow. Get that sauce. Ketchup packaging was nothing I've ever seen before, squeeze or dip, it does it all!! But the credit goes to Heinz. So it begs the question... Is it better than McDonalds? No. I would probably get three McChickens for the price of one chick-fil-a sandwich. 3/5 I'll probably be back, there's something I like about the simple menu. read more

I normally don't do fast food, but after encouragement from a food friend Chris Bennett I decided to try. Upon entry you view stellar clean, friendly and efficient staff and most welcoming! Food: Deluxe Chicken Sandwich, fresh bread, firm fresh tomato, crisp lettuce, pickles and a spicy aoli! Delicious! Chicken Strips: crisp on outside, moist on inside! Side Salad: IT'S REAL! I am soooooo torn on my rating here. On a rating of customer service... You guys get an A+++. Seriously, best service I've gotten even from a mega-star restaurant in a LONG TIME. For me, that goes a long way. Now to the part I'm confused about. I work in bellevue and I won't lie- I've "attempted" the drive-thru about 3x in the past week since they opened. Every time I go down 8th and see the line I freak out and go home. Tonight, I WENT FOR IT. Had it figured out, (which lane NOT TO BE IN if u want to be honked at or yelled at by police) And I made it into the parking lot in about 10 minutes after being on 8th (coming from the mall area). once u get past the merging 405 traffic it goes pretty smoothly. Even the traffic cop asked me how my day was going while I waited to turn right. Finally, a nice Bellevue cop. So then... FINALLY I get in the parking lot. Once inside the lot it took maybe (MAYBE) 10 mins to food. I noticed there's a sign saying to stay right for parking, left for drive thru. While waiting in the left lane about 3 cars pulled out and there was ample parking to park if u wanted to. I'm a newbie at Chick, so I was amazed when a few "chicks" (pun intended) walked down the drive thru line to take orders on a tablet and pass out menus. There's a real drive-thru menu that I'm sure will be in use when traffic dies down. The order taker "chick" let me take my time and look things over (even tho I already had the stupid app on my phone up). YI placed my order and was surprised to drive right up to the next "station" to pay. She greeted me with "HI MISS SARAH!" And payment was quick. Next I rolled up to a "Condiment station" and he heard me out and threw in so many extras.. WHAT?! No extra charge for sauces!?" Then I get up to the window quickly to pay. "HELLOOOOOO MISS SARAH!!" They're so friendly & enthusiastic. My bag was literally READY and hot and steaming. Here's where I'm not so sure. I bought a classic #1, add lettuce and extra pickles on the side, diet coke with that. Since I had to commute home I got some classic nuggets. And since I have to work tomorrow I got a big huge Asian Salad to take for lunch. Salad looks amazing. Big and fresh and green. Chicken smells amazing. I dipped into my nuggets on the way out and.... Ugh... What... What is that flavor or chemical I'm tasting??? Yes, nice big fat chunks of chicken... But do they seriously add sweet tea to the breading?! LOL it's oddly salty and sweet (and I like salt). So nuggets, meh.. Juicy but a strange flavor. I definitely dipped into my waffle fries and they're AWESOME.... When still hot... Shoulda gotten a shake to do it Wendy's-style.. But I get home to taste my basic classic chicken, add lettuce extra side of pickles... And there's CHEESE AND NO PICKLES with a tiny piece of lettuce. I'm now in Kenmore and WANT MY PICKLES!!! The cheese was a good touch tho. Next time I will order a spicy PLAIN WITH PICKLES and hope the spice cuts out the strange sweetness in the breading (or are the chickens injected with sugar??! I dunno). All in all: I came, I conquered what looked like an IPhone release day.... And will probably come back for a salad and definitely to try breakfast. PS THE BUN IS SO SOFT!!!!!! read more

Pissed. Just drove around the block 5 times and the guy at the entrance kept weaving me off. The last time there was space for me but he weaved me off and let the car through right after me, mind you the car in front never moved. What is that? What is happening? I waisted 30 mins which is my full lunch driving around the same block and this is the result I got. This place has now been open for at least a month. Chick-fil-A location is just stupid. Chick-fil-A is A-OK! It's more of a 3.5, but since it rhymes, they get 3. The food is reliably delicious, the location is meh. Though this is probably the most successful business to ever occupy that corner. It has brought a lot of traffic to the area, but they manage that with a Bellevue police officer that drew the short straw that day directing parking lot traffic. They've added additional spots at the Coast Hotel next door, which seems to have really helped more people to get their fix, but I'll admit it's kind of awkward. I love the nuggets with honey mustard or Chick-fil-A sauce and they have waffle fries! Their lemonade is a little sweet for my taste, but it's still pretty good. Yea, like I said, it's reliably delicious. But you shouldn't go. Because then the line will be shorter when I do. read more

Been coming here since DAY 1 of opening. Seeing how I'm a Floridian who has been craving this place since I moved here in 03". No complaints not even with the line. Even tho this is still the busiest ChicFilA in the region even with Kirkland getting one. I still find their service faster then any other fast food restaurant. read more

It's about time! People in this area can now enjoy what everyone in the Southeast gets! I've been to several Chick-Fil-A restaurants in my travels in the South. We are now able to enjoy the great chicken sandwiches and basket fries. My daughter and I both had the #2 combo. The chicken was really moist and flavorful, just like I remembered from my last sandwich. The service was quick, efficient and friendly. When I said thank you they all responded with "my pleasure" rather than the boneheaded response of "no problem". They also greeted me at each station by my first name, which they obtained at the initial contact. The line in the restaurant and the drive through was really long, but made it through in 15 minutes. Every restaurant should really take lessons from this company if they want to compete. I wholeheartedly recommend eating at this establishment. Great food and fantastic service! read more

I first visited Chick-Fil-A back in 1991 in Maryland. The only thing different between now and then, is that the menu is very robust. Back then, you had two options: Deluxe or Regular. That was it! I haven't been to a Chick-fil-A since 2007 and the menu is pretty amazing. Almost too many choices to be honest. When I heard last year that they would be coming to WA (ie. not including Bellingham location), I was very excited. Unfortunately, that excitement faded when I was stuck in traffic the opening weeks. The traffic officer is a help, but it's just too difficult to get in that place. It's a good location in terms of visibility, but it's terrible for logistics. I feel they could have picked a more lower key location and received a lot more business. This location is hurt, because it doesn't generate a lot of foot traffic. The parking lot is always full from cars trying to enter through the drive thru. They have good chicken sandwiche's, but is it worth dodging traffic where you may have to bypass it several times to get in, wait times for ordering your food, and/or potential mistakes with your order. at the end of the day, it's fast food and just a chicken sandwiche. read more

Great food! The deluxe meal is my favorite. Get plenty of Chick-fil-A sauce. Like, at least 5. Its great on the burgers, fries, or just to cuddle with at night. I literally have an obsession. The lemonade is the only REAL lemonade (water, lemons, sugar) I know of at any fast food restaurant. So why didn't it get a perfect rating? The lemonade was full of seeds, pulp, and segments of lemon. A bit much even for us lemonade lovers. read more

Waaaay too overrated, imho. It's good, but not mind-blowing like everyone says! I finally came to see what everyone was raving about. The spicy chicken sandwich tasted fresh and really good! Really just stopped in to use the rest room but decided to see if they had changed since I was at one in Denver many years ago. Nope nothing changed. Still too salty.... chicken and the fries. The portion of chicken still too small for the bun. Asked for iced tea half sweet and half non sweet. Still too much sugar. Guess I'll wait another 15 years to try them again. On the plus side the service was great. Even as busy as it was I waited less than 3 minutes to get my order. read more

Just went here with my friends hours ago and wow, great service, good customer service and friendly workers as well as great food. Just finished playing Kinect with the homies (i think i lost 15+ pounds lmao ;) ) and to end it with good food. Soon this coming week to end it after a long week of work with a gym exercise.
