Would give zero stars if I could. Never have they gotten my order correct, or had the respect to deliver timely service. For the third time now I have ordered chick fil a breakfast and your location has said that my order is ready for a driver to pick up, only for them to get there and be told that my order cannot be prepared because it is after breakfast time. Only, I place my orders at least an hour before breakfast ends and the app says that my order is prepared and ready for pick up. Putting the entire fault on the Folly Rd Chick fil A yet again. Fast food down in Charleston is pretty abysmal to begin with, but you are quickly climbing to the worst. Hoping for some serious shifts in management to resolve these ongoing issues that are plaguing most if not all of your customers. You come to expect a certain level of service and speed from your local Chic-fil-a. We did a mobile order and only got ice cream as a family treat after visiting the festival of lights the other night. There was not much of a line, but we ended up waiting for far longer than I expected. The order was correct and ice cream was as expected. No other issues. read more

We visited this (#01954) location four times from 5/4/2024 to 5/10/2024. Each time the restaurant was clean, food fresh and attentive staff. Food was great and at the proper temperature. Highly recommend the chicken biscuit and tender bites. read more

If only this were an actual store on Johns Island there would be no question but that it would be a five-star praying this is the James Island store which sets up essentially a Chick-fil-A tent big enough for one guy and a couple of tables on Maybank Highway at the new Sherwin-Williams and the All seasons True Value Hardware store and the NAPA store. Friday I was surprised to see them there thinking that they only were there on Tuesdays Wednesdays and Thursdays) knowing that they serve basically from 11:00 a.m. until they run out which is usually 2:00 p.m. or earlier, I stopped by only to find out that they already had sold out at about 11:20 a.m. They had more coming from the regular store on James Island and would be there in about 20 minutes. To start off, the food is still a solid five stars and that's what keeps me coming back time and time again. Pricing is also still pretty reasonable for fast food with high quality and consistency. What I don't like is the drive-thru line. On an average day, it deserves two stars. Compared to their stellar food and customer service, it really should be better. Now, this was occurring prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, so that just made the situation worse with more people requiring drive-thru service. Actually, I think the pandemic forced them to make some minor improvements already, so I look for additional changes in the future. Chick-Fil-A has a free downloadable app for ease of ordering and payments. They encourage use of the app, but you still have to go through the same drive-thru line like normal, so it really isn't any faster. Maybe a dedicated line for those who have used the app ahead of time would help. One benefit of using the app is that there is no handling of credit cards and receipts, especially during this COVID-19 pandemic. You still have to talk to multiple people in line, but they do consistently wear masks. Another benefit is that you get points and those points can later be used for purchases. It's basically their "frequent flyer" program. It can definitely pay off depending on how often you go and how big of orders you usually make. So, the name itself draws the customers. Chick-Fil-A is well-known for their quality chicken products and friendly service. If you don't like chicken, this might not be the place for you. They do have some other options now though, so you might be surprised. There really isn't anything spectacular that I can say other than I do love this place. Despite the crowds and occasional wait times, it's still a great choice for a delicious chicken sandwich or nuggets. And don't forget the sweet tea! read more

Updated review- I ordered breakfast an English muffin with eggs this morning for breakfast and my English muffin had mold on it. I told the location about this and the owners was response was that the English muffins aren't a popular item so they may have been sitting there for a while...... I do not understand how this location is still allowed to be in business. When I was asked by the owner what he could do to make it right I said to make sure no one else gets moldy food from them...he never offered me a discount. This location needs to be closed down the by the health department based on my experience. This location deserves negative 10000 stars. I've ordered from here for takeout and delivery multiple times and have always been disappointed. For example we ordered a grilled chicken sandwich without lettuce or tomato and it arrived with lettuce and tomatoes and a soggy bun...after reaching out regarding the incorrect order I was told by the manager Matt that I should "order a fried chicken sandwich if I don't want a soggy sandwich"...k... that was weird Matt. Then we recently ordered ahead in the app for takeout and asked to add a pup cup, which is something nearly all the other locations offer but this location clearly hates dogs and happiness (IMO) and they do not offer. We asked to cancel our order which turned into an ordeal. The same manager Matt came over and then quickly walked away while talking to us. He did not engage, offer any customer service or confirm our refund. Basically he failed to do the minimum requirements of his job. TLDR: this location is terrible. Terrible customer service. Terrible management. They clearly hate dogs by not allowing pup cups. The food here is gross. This location is single handedly ruining the chic fil a name, in my opinion and experience. read more

We stopped at chic fila on the way home from a volleyball game at james island charter- we sat in the dining room to eat, we were eating at 903pm team member by the name of Jordan comes and tells us " The dining room is now closed and we needed to wrap it up" as a paying customer that is unbelievably rude- we also order a frosted coffee and had to go back to the counter to ask for it. As we are being rushed out the dining room someone with us asked for a refill and they were REFUSED a refill! I will be contacting Corporate regarding this matter! I tend to go to the Chick-fil-A over the other ones in the Charleston area because they have that mobile fast lane now, which I find very helpful and quick. Everyone is always so kind, which doesn't surprise me. Chick - fil - A is a really good fast food restaurant. The milkshakes and the frosted lemonade are delicious and I love how they do the seasonal milkshakes too. The chicken sandwich and the chicken strips are really good and my favorite thing to order.The breakfast menu is also large complete with a chicken biscuit, yogurt parfait, and breakfast burrito. The food is pretty good in comparison to some other fast food restaurants. Normally when using the drive through the lines are long, but that's just because the Chick - fil - A is popular so it's a bit slow. The service is good though when you get to the front of the line and there is always your whole order in the bag. Idk how they do it but I'm constantly amazed at CFA's ability to move a HUGE car line so quickly. Normally I'd steer clear of establishments with cars wrapped around the building but CFA still manages to get you in and out as if there was no one ahead of you. Frosted lemonade is my jam. I get a large every time and then wish I ordered two because they taste like heaven. Also try putting honey on your chicken biscuit -- they have honey packets if you ask for them, yumm. read more

I am not trying to complain and I typically LOVE Chick-fil-A but this location has ruined it for me. My first horrid experience was my chicken soup having spicy chicken fried meat in it. (Cutting corners and trying to use scraps to save a dime. Fries that look as if someone ate half before putting in the bag. Wrong drinks, missing items, cold food and grizzle and fatty chicken. Well, they renovated and they still are the worst Chick-fil-a that we have experienced. Just happened to go there twice today. Once for breakfast where they messed up the order. And again for dinner where my wife waited 30 minutes because the order got "bumped" according to the employee. They never offer anything when they do this. We placed a catering order from here a couple weeks back and we're highly disappointed. We had an 11am delivery time scheduled at our hotel for Housekeeping Appreciation week and the driver arrived a few minutes early. I thought man we are off to a good start. Then things went south real quick. Upon unpacking the order we noticed there were no buns for the grilled chicken sandwiches we ordered which was frustrating to say the least. We immediately called the location and were told to hold while they contacted the driver. Then they asked us if they could call us back after they reached the driver. 10 minutes went by and no phone call so we reached back out and were then told someone would be bringing us the buns and to sit tight. We explained our team was in a scheduled lunch break at 11am and this was holding us all up. Around 11:35 am (over 30 minutes later) someone different arrived with a bag of buns. No real apology, no effort to make it right, no nothing really. Given the fact we ordered $200 from Chick-fil-A and it was to appreciate our team this was a major let down. When they guy arrived I said we were very disappointed and he said just tell them next time we order what happened and they'll take care of us. You really think we are going to spend another $200 on a next time so we can have cold chicken sandwiches, nuggets and tenders to show our appreciation. Big let down Chick-fil-A !!!! Y'all used to be great at customer service but clearly not anymore. Personally I used to bring my son to this location weekly and now when I drive by I just shake my head and say what a shame. A review of every individual Chickfila south of McClellanville to Bluffton would be a repeat outline of the same storyline. And I believe I've been to everyone thats not located too far off the beaten path. Folly Rd's Chickfila holds top billing for my repeat returns to the second greatest fast food establishment in the country. Second only to In & Out Burger of the left coast, one selling chicken based options, beef options for the other so there us no comparison to be made, therefore CF gets Best in Chicken nationally on my scorecard. Drive throughs are always busy, but move at a reasonable pace thanks to a conscientious staff of diligent workers both at the window and behind the spotless metallic counters inside. The condiments bin is always freshly stocked and clean enough to eat off of, yet I do not recommend doing so. I'll still bet the house on a negative bacterial test score though. Almost each time inside of any location, I have been greeted by the manager who spends a few moments to have a quick conversation. How was my experience? Comments welcomed. But never delivered in an intrusive way. The Chickfila wraps, salads and breakfast offerings all are very enjoyable, I've had a few of each. As to breakfast, it took a little getting used eating chicken in any form, frankly it took some moderate effort. The tiny, barrel shaped hash browns could use another few seconds tightening up in the deep fryer in my opinion. The regular chicken sandwich with waffle cut fries with a vanilla shake us my go to meal. It's the best! I miss it when I've not had one for a while and take a few and I take a bunch home with me on my flights. It's gotten to the point that the sandwiches components are seperated for me by the workers to preserve freshness. How awesome is that? read more

They are super efficient here and you are able to get your order quickly when you are hungry and do not want to wait a long time. Orders are packed with 0 care or check. After ordering through the drive threw and driving home, we found that are order was missing two spicy chicken sandwiches that were suppose to be our meal. The main part of the meal was missing. Then we call and they said we can come back with the receipt and they will give us two spicy chicken sandwiches "on them". After we have already paid for it. We drive all the way back and then have to wait another 10 minutes for the spicy chicken sandwiches because they were not ready yet. This is HORRIBLE service that they did nothing about. This Chick-fil-A never gets your order right. I've lived in Charleston for 4 years and try to avoid this Chick-fil-A as much as possible. All of the times that I've ended up giving this location another try, something goes wrong. Most recently today, I was charged double for my breakfast. I'm not sure how I could've been more explicit with only ordering one biscuit meal to server Raina, but somehow it was doubled. She repeated the order and only listed 1 biscuit meal and I confirmed. Once I told the guy at the pick-up window when he tried giving me two of everything, he said I could get a refund from the manager but "it would take a while". I typically wouldn't leave a review for a fast food joint, but I think this particular Chick-fil-A deserves props. I go here as often as I do mostly because it is the closest place to my house. I think I may be one of the only not-crazy-about-their-food people in the south. Don't get me wrong, it's good but I don't get upset when Sunday rolls around. Everyone knows how crazy busy the drive thru lines can be, but this Chick-fil-A has done a great job with getting you in and out as quickly as possible without compromising customer service. Someone greets you at your car window almost as soon as you get in line. They have menus with them in case you are unsure what you want. Then, as you continue to drive around, another person greets you to take payment, so that by the time you get to the window all they have to do is make sure it's you and your food is waiting on you. Here's where the props come in... The company has provided a permanent cover, not just a tent, where the staff can get out of the elements. They even have fans and heaters in them. This is opposed to them initially just being outside at any time without anything to make them comfortable. Now I can get my #1 with extra pickles and a lemonade in about 3 minutes, and your staff is happy too. So good on you Chick-fil-A! read more
