Had an excellent meal at Bohemian Grill! The appetizer of fried ocra in a delicious dipping sauce was fantastic and really set the tone--definitely a 5-star experience overall. My only suggestion would be to serve the sweet potato fries hotter, as they were just barely warm. Still, everything else was great! Ample parking at the James Island location. We went for lunch so not overly crowded but this is definitely a tourist stop in as it was Easter week and as we were leaving around 2pm they were starting to pour in. That's pretty impressive for a Saturday at 2pm! Service was very friendly and efficient, worth the 20% tip. Relaxed nice vibe. I live basically across the street from the Bohemian Bull and I always forget about it when I do want to go out to lunch. So I went the other day with a girlfriend. We got seated immediately. Our server came right up to us for a beverage order, club sodas for both! We decided to split the brussels sprout appetizer on each get a small Caesar. The brussels sprouts are absolutely amazing. The Caesar salads were underwhelming. One of the salads actually had the end of ahead of Romain in it. The dressing was very bland. it would've been a lot better if it was homemade rather than Ken's out of the big gallon! once again, I do wanna say that our server was fantastic. I'll be back for the Brussel sprouts but definitely not a salad. read more

Was a little surprised that they do their burgers medium well and don't put raw onion on the bacon cheeseburger as a standard item. Both of our burgers were missing the promised pickles. Limited menu for GF is you're trying to reduce cross-contamination. Some of the fruit bowl had seen better days. read more

Bohemian is one of my go-to spots! I've had almost everything on their menu and am satisfied every time. My personal favorites are the truffle burger and Buffalo boneless wings (their siracha wings are great too!) oh and let's not forget those deviled eggs and Brussels sprouts! 9/10 out of their service is great. My only complaint is with one female bartender(IYKYK) that has no sense of awareness or urgency. The bar could have 2 people or it could have 20 and you'll have to wait 10-15 minutes to be greeted if you're lucky. If you're unlucky, it'll take 30+ minutes. (Unfortunately this has happened on multiple occasions and now I avoid going if I see her working because I know service is going to be crap.) The atmosphere is fun and "hip". Outdoors is def where you want to be during the summer or in the cool weather for an oyster roast. There's a stage for live music, a Photo Booth, games, a fire pit and an ax throwing section (though to be honest I haven't seen much axe throwing so I believe they no longer do this.) I def recommend if you're looking for a good burger, good beer, or some dark liquor. Their bourbon selection is pretty broad. read more

The website says no reservations, so we did not make one. We had a large party and went to get some drinks and mingle with family we haven't seen in over a year. The service was bad, and the waiters/waitresses were very rude to everyone in our party. This was also the night prior to a wedding that friends and family traveled 8+ hours for. This used to be a family style place where we could come and visit and have fun out back. Now, we will not be returning here. We only got the fried green tomatoes but they were cold when they came out as well. Won't be back, and I don't recommend especially for a large party with a family. read more

The review I left prior was not the same experience I had on Friday night. I chose this restaurant due to my previous experience and thought the laid back atmosphere and outside space would be great for a large group of people to meet, all of whom are here on Folly for my Saturday wedding. The manager was an absolute asshole - rude to our entire party saying "this is not what we do here" when we were trying to mingle outside, order food and drinks and provide business to his restaurant. He kept referring to my family and friends as "the large walk in party that didn't have a reservation" even though the website states the restaurant does not take reservations. Of note - when we walked in, 5 servers were sitting at the front and the restaurant was practically empty. The bar tender did not want to serve us drinks. They only sat a portion of our party and it wasn't until my sister's family were walking out the door to leave, did they stop them and give them a table, even though several were open. The outside area did not have the same vibe as before - no fire pits, outside games or tables and milling about and visiting was heavily discouraged. I will never advise anyone to visit this restaurant and I hope this review is directly discussed with the rudest restaurant manager I have ever encountered in my 44 years! read more

Finally made it here after a Friday evening walk on Folly. It was fairly full but we snagged a parking spot (large lot) and an outside table since we had our pup. Our waiter was friendly and good with service. Was kind enough to grab lots of water for our pup too! We started with a small boho salad and pretzel - both were great. The salad dressing is so tasty and they put Gouda on top which was different than a standard house salad. The smash burger and jam burger were both solid. Their ranch is good! I had high hopes, but was slightly underwhelmed by my visit. We managed to grab a two top pretty quickly because we were a small party, which was nice! I had seen photos of the cannoli French toast and was intrigued, but when it arrived it didn't look quite the same. It tasted good, but I didn't feel like it was worth the price tag. My husband tried the truffle burger with a side of truffle fries, which he enjoyed. The fries came out a little cold but tasted amazing! Definitely my favorite part of the meal. Honestly, I really wanted to give this place a better review and I will try again in case it was an off day! I have always heard that I need to try the burgers and Bohemian Bull but hadn't made my way over there yet. The menu looked amazing and it was hard making decisions but I decided to pack up my pup and head over for a Friday afternoon lunch. The patio is lovely and I can tell that it's a great space for crowds and events! The servers were all very friendly and brought our water for my pup right away. I ordered the dumpling burger because although I was sent here for the burger menu I cannot say no to dumplings and I think it was a really great concept but not the best execution. The coleslaw, crispy strips, and sauce were VERY light and where the majority of the flavor came from. The sweet potato fries were decent in terms of how crispy they were but lacked flavor. Again, I hope to come back and have a different experience with the burger menu because it is a lovely spot otherwise! read more
