We used to love this place and give it 5 stars every time! However recently they've changed their procedures and no longer cook food "Well Done". Due to several health conditions it's hard for me to swallow anything soft in texture, I choke and have a hard time swallowing. I had spent 2 hours at Jerome's buying new furniture and pull into the Chick-Fil-A drive thru at 9:58pm. There was a line or maybe 3 car in front of me, I can see 3 employees huddled as I sit in my car for maybe 3-4 mins in line with family, at this time no car has come behind me... Some lady with a button up comes out and says "yeah the car in front of you is the last car we're serving.." for a business that prides themselves on customer service, one more order couldn't have killed your seemingly not busy staff standing around and could've put the cone behind me. I think Chick Fil A serves great food with the best service a fastfood chain can offer. As a normal eater, this place easily gets minimum 4 stars, but I am writing from a standpoint of someone who's recently been on low carb diet. Chick Fil A offers low carb options such as salad and grilled chicken nuggets. They taste great, but I have major issue with their grilled nuggets. Their 12 piece size comes in a minuscule 8oz paper cup at ridiculous 7 dollars. with a medium iced tea, this is close to 10 dollars. I get that it's better quality grilled chicken with less additives compared to other fastfood places, but I just can't wrap my mind around how something so unfilling and tiny can be 7 bucks. I've had cheaper organic chicken at the Wholefoods market. While I used to enjoy their sandwich combo meals, there are some items on the menu simply not worth the money. Haven't been here to Corona location in a while and we stopped to get 2 orders of 4 Chick-n-Strips to add to our salad we were having for dinner. We ordered Ranch dipping sauce for both orders. Got home and opened and couldn't believe how small they were for "$5.25" for 4 tiny pieces, $10.50! for 8 pieces that added up to about the size of a 1 chicken breast. See the quarter I put to show the size, these used to be bigger pieces. 2 of the Ranch sauce we ordered were replaced with buffalo sauce that they must of decided we needed those instead of the RANCH that we ordered. Also ordered 1 Chic-fil-A sandwich because I remember how great they were and the bun was bigger than the chicken and that never was the case in the past, the chicken breast always was bigger than the bun. I like the food but more often than not, my order is incorrect. Somehow, the order taker gets it right but when it is sent to the kitchen, it comes out wrong. Today's visit was especially bad. Ordered 4 sandwiches, 3 had egg whites. The egg whites were BLACK. The darkest black I have ever gotten from them. I went back and explained to the order taker, showed her the egg whites and she agreed. They looked gross. They delivered new sandwiches (missing one), and 1 of the egg whites was again BLACK. They are very apologetic but that does no good when they don't fix the problem. After four tries, our order was correct. It shouldn't take over 30 minutes to get a drive-thru order. GREAT place to bring kids as there is an (clean) indoor play area closed off with only one entrance to keep an eye on. Attention to detail for kiddos was great, there is a step stool in the bathroom for kiddos to wash hands and PLENTY of highchairs. Went during peak and the line was long but went quickly. 7 people ahead of me with maybe a 5 minute wait time. They seem to have their drive-thru game on point with an attendant outside taking orders. There was a wonderful worker there named Landon that was delightful and so helpful. He was buzzing around on the floor cleaning up messes left and right while making sure every family was taken care of. This is a go-to spot for lunch. I went on the 23rd of December, and my chicken sandwich was completely pink on the inside! I've never had this happen and am severely disappointed. I'm usually a regular, but not anymore. I'm glad I noticed the odd taste and split the sandwich to reveal the chicken or I would've become sick. We got our food, fresh and hot right as we were sitting down after paying, such fast service! Super clean and well kept, tons of parking, great dining option while in the area. I had the asian chicken salad with crispy chicken, very tasty, love the dressing, my husband the spicy chicken sandwich, loved it as well. My only gripe here is that the portions are tiny/prices are a bit high. My husband gets two meals and is still hungry and they run almost $20 for both, way too much. The McD copy cannot compare and anytime I'm in a city with a Chick-fil-A, I have to stop there. Last Friday, we stopped by on the way back to LA and as I was about to order, I noticed a sign posted on the wall that read, "Ask about our Backstage Kitchen Tours." So I did. The manager, Danny, explained that he can give us a tour of the kitchen and I said, "let's do it!" He seemed pretty surprised, but happy, because I don't think he has many people ask about it. He immediately had us put on paper hats and a backstage tour pass lanyard. He told us about the history of the restaurant and then walked us through the kitchen... "this is the heart of the kitchen where the meals are prepared" ... "notice that we use all name-brand ingredients"... "this fryer is for canola oil and the other uses peanut oil... natural ingredients are important to us"... "here is the refrigerator... it takes 2 days to thaw the chicken"... "See these boxes of lemons? Guess how many boxes we use every day to make our fresh squeezed lemonade... 5-6!"... "here is where we fresh brew our tea"... "here is the freezer"... "here is the worker's break room and photos of our beach day... it was a lot of fun... we have a tv in there for them to use while they are on break"... etc. Believe it or not, I had a blast and was highly entertained by the process. We took photos in the kitchen. The restaurants just started offering this tour 2 months ago and it's open to anyone who asks. I love that they are not secretive about their food... the nothing to hide openness makes me feel even better about the brand. We finally ordered and the food was great (it's nice to actually taste a potato that tastes like a potato) and the service excellent. They brought our food to the table rather than have us wait for it and came by often to take our drinks for free refills. The manager even stopped by and brought us fresh-baked gooey warm straight from the oven melty thick chunk chocolate chip cookies... which I had never tried there before and have been thinking about ever since. I really like the family focused feel to the restaurant. They have family nights and kids' events. Closed on Sundays... We saw all ages there... even a pack of teens hanging out. Great thing about Chick-Fil-A is the huge size of the chicken filet as well as how well its seasoned, juicy and moist, and fried to perfection. Went through the drive thru and they have a great system the employee's are beyond nice asking you how your day is and what your plans for the day are just super friendly and great positive energy! This location has always been able to make the salad the way I need it. I have allergies and am Unable to eat corn and bread. I always get the Cobb salad with no corn or bacon, with cold shredded chicken. Never have I been told NO. The Yorba Linda location refuses to do this. When I got home and everyone got their soup or salad, I then told them that there were cookies. But, nope. So, I called but it was 10:02 and there is no voicemail. Chick-fil-a's has a policy that one must report the problem on the same day to get either money back or the undelivered item. So, I had $7.69 plus tax stolen from me by Chik-Fil-A. But, they would send me a coupon. They made a mistake, took my money and it's just my bad luck that their policy allows them to steal from the customer. So, do not leave the drive through window without thoroughly inspecting your purchase. Because, if you do and don't have the leisure time to wander back that day, you are throwing your money away. Oh Chik-fil-A. You have yet to satisfy my stomach. I agreed to come here because I honestly wasn't that hungry. I decided in my mind that I would get something small, and all would be well. However, I knew not that my "small" order would be smaller than small. It was quite tiny. I got the 8-pc nuggets thinking they would at least be the size of Mccy D's nuggets, but NOPE i was wrong. I had long forgotten how tiny their nuggets were. Although i wasn't super starving, by the time i got my food, i was a little hungry. I tried to savor every nugget by ripping them to pieces and eating them slowly. Sad, I know. The IceDream is not so dreamy. Mccy D's soft serve wins! I got the small, while my friends got regular/large, but they were the EXACT same size...so...yeah HAHA! It wasn't bad, but the texture of Mccy D's is more thick and rich and creamy as opposed to Chik-fil-A. The IceDream was alright. Not bad. But the texture was more yogurt-like.
