The only reason I have consistently gone to this location was because of how close it is to my work. I've had too many let downs to go back now. For full disclosure, I do know the owners of this brand new Chick-Fil-A, and I was surprised to see so many negative reviews. I will take a guess from reading through a few that many of the issues are probably due to being brand new. They opened June 9th of 2016 with an all-new staff, so training is to be expected. Since then I've come by several times for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I don't typically write reviews for fast food chains since they are all pretty standard, but I don't understand the low reviews as they are the opposite of my experiences. Quick service, friendly staff, and the quality food that you expect. This location is, as many of them, often packed with customers. Long drive-thru lines are legendary at all Chick-Fil-As but I've always been impressed with the staff's efforts to work outside as carhops to make it move faster. As for what I know because I know the owners, I can also comment that the entire staff has a strong belief in serving the community. They are generous to local charities (as many CFAs are) and because of their strong investments in their employees they have an eye toward hiring people who need the support. With how the Prestonwood area is growing and developing, this location exists not just to serve people delicious chicken, but to build up the community and invest in people. Kudos for that, not all businesses are so laudable. read more

So far so good! The new Chick-Fil-A near the Addison Sonic will have its grand opening ribbon cutting today at 9. They opened this morning at 6 and I was greeted with lots of smiles. Of course the chicken is ALL THAT but what I really liked was the outdoor seating. It definitely looks like they want to encourage a little hanging out here in Addison and I'm going to give it to them! My only complaint is that there are a lot of do not enter here signs that left me wondering where to enter and then eventually driving against their cute little arrows. read more

I ordered a number 7 asked for no cheese and an egg. Get home home and it's just the began. Then while I was inside getting my order correct the manager was talking to someone and looks at me and the bag in my hand... I figured she would want to address the issue, nope went right to the back. Then after I was finally at the counter she wants to ask if I have been helped. I said "yes she is fixing it." Food is great, that is not the problem. The big problem is that their drive through is REALLY deceiving and really slow. From the entrance of the drive-thru, it can take up to 20 minutes to get your order if they're completely packed full of cars. If you're waiting in the line outside of the drive-thru, it's going to be closer to 25-30 minutes. That is an absurd amount of time to expect someone to wait for a prepackaged meal like Chick Fil A. I mean, it's a sandwich and fries in a bag. I've been to the location on Beltline in Addison and at the longest waited 10 minutes to get my meal. This location obviously gets more traffic than the Addison location, but the wait time for drive-thru is unbearable. If you're going outside of lunch hours, it will be a normal drive thru experience, but this "merging" lanes thing they decided to do at this location is a cluster-"cluck" to put it kindly. Do yourself a favor, don't be one of those people who decides to go to CFA at lunch when you can go literally anyplace else. CFA is tasty, but let all the other people who don't know about the line issue be the ones to suffer with the wait. Look at my profile. This location is the worst. They have now messed up my order three times. I finally had to write a review to make sure people avoid this chick-fil-a because they are an abomination to this normally excellent fast food chain. Corporate reached out to me a couple weeks ago to try and make it right. when I went back to try this place again not only had they run out of the side salad they had forgotten once before. I get home and the cup had a tiny crack in it see the video I posted so my cup holder was filled with Tea by the time I got home. they gave me sweet tea instead of the unsweet on top of that cup being busted. I even got american cheese on their spicy deluxe sandwich versus the jack cheese it normally comes with. This place just makes error after error. Hopefully they'll get it right one day. I just left his location and I am so very not satisfied. So I place my order through the drive-through in my total came out to be $10.93. I gave the cashier in the window $21 in order to get $10 back. As I gave the boy the $21 he immediately asked me what was the dollar bill for and I told him to input it into his computer to give me the total back. I know at this point that I get $10.07 back OK. The cashier hands me $9.07 we converse back-and-forth for about 45 seconds telling him that I am owed 10.07. So after having a change of $9.07 in my hand I pull off then I go in so I wouldn't hold the line. I asked to speak to a manager and I converse back-and-forth with the manager and proceeds to tell me that I'm owed 9.07 back again. So I'm standing there going back-and-forth with the manager and there's customers around I'm standing there looking crazy because I'm going back-and-forth over a dollar when it's not even about the dollar, it's the principal of y'all not giving correct change back at this location know and up charging the customer at this point. I'm quite sure if Jerry Jones came to the drive-through, I BET he would've got his CORRECT CHANGE. You mean to tell me the Chick-fil-A is hiring people that can't count and know that they are taking their customers money. This location opened June 2016 so it's brand new with flashy tiles and light fixtures. It was typical Chick-fil-a busy, but the large parking lot and looooooong drive through lane absorbed a lot of the traffic though. I found a parking spot a lot faster than I was expecting. The service was fast, mostly friendly (lots of high school kids) and most important, the food was hot, fast, and a great quality! I love Chick-fil-A however this particular restaurant isn't 1 of my favorites, I'm giving them a low star due to the fact that they don't have their salads ready at a timely manner. I was told they want have their salads ready until 11am but lunch starts at 10:30am ‍ I do understand the process of having fresh food but there should be a better way for them the prepare salads and have them ready before 11am. So I guess this is now my and my hubby's breakfast place - we even have a quiet corner spot we are now claiming as our own! We come here every now and then after getting adjusted by Dr. Brian Hooten on Saturday mornings. Each time we are glad for the friendly and fast service, great food, and clean bathrooms. The young people at the counter are so patient with us as we spend a few minutes looking at the menu to see if we want to try something new and then end up with the exact same order each time. I went through the drive-thru where the young man taking my order could not accurately repeat my order to save his life - i.e. medium, unsweet ice tea w/extra ice and lemon - that is ALL I ordered. Then, he told me it would be $9.34. After resolving that issue, he informed me that I could not use my cc. Then, I get to the window where they inform that they have no lemon, so I request my money back because I was in a bit of a hurry. Next, they tell me that they will go to the back and slice some lemon & request that I move to slot #1 to wait. They assured me that the whole process wouldn't take long. After waiting approx. 10 mins., I phone and ask for a manager. She states that they have no lemon...and, once again, I request my money back. So, she asked me for my cc #. I stated that I was not permitted to pay with my cc and ask for my money back...again! The manager indicated that this apparently was going to take some time and offered to go to the back to cut some lemons for me. Are you kidding me???! p.s. I never received my money back. And, it is not so much about that anyway. It was the principle of the whole matter. Isn't this suppose to be a Christian restaurant that takes great pride in making sure that everyone knows that they do not work on Sunday...which is not the Sabbath anyway and is generally the lowest gross income day for any place of business. I don't know how this location has bad reviews. I go here at least once a week (sometimes twice a week). It's close to my office and my coworkers and I love it. Curt Kelly is the greatest CFA operator ever. He knows regular customers by name and always greets all customers when they arrive. There is a sweet lady named Anna who is always smiling and always checks to see if anyone needs a refill on their drinks. Honestly all the employees are great. I've never had a bad experience here. I use the Chick Fil A app (which I highly recommend to everyone) and the rare occasion I don't stay and eat there, I'll place a mobile order in the parking lot and it's ready by the time I walk in from my car. This is my favorite Chick Fil A location in the Addison/Carrollton/north Dallas area. read more
