It's Saturday evening on June 18 and it's all men working and taking the orders and charging and the customer service was pretty terrible! This is the first time I see almost all men on a shift and they were all rude and in terrible moods. Very surprising coming from Chic-fil-a especially because we come here often and the service is almost always great. Didn't give 1 star for that reason. This spot has always been a stop after Disney. The last 4 times we've stopped the food was COLD! Today I ordered a chicken Deluxe meal and they have me a regular sandwich. There is only one thing to say about Chick-fil-A and that's....Chick-fil-A sauce. I would just take a whole box of it. I haven't gone inside the place but have only gone drive-thru. It feels weird how the staff treat you really nice with smiles since you're not used to it from other places. My order was wrong, I wanted spicy deluxe no pickles, tomato's. They had a spicy deluxe no pickles. They made a big deal about no tomatoes and had to charge me again. All chick fil a are busy with long lines so that's no excuse since other locations have been capable of getting my order right. I mobile order so there's no misunderstanding anything. If you just stopped to look at the labels on the sandwiches, you're giving a mobile order store pick up a drive thru sandwich. Every time I go to this specific location the staff is rude. Mainly the women have poor attitudes. The men that have helped me are nice and informative. They are usually about 15 minutes late on food and when asked how much longer they make a rude facial expression and tell you we will call you when the food is ready. The reason I ask is so I can wait in my car until the food is ready. But it's a hassle just to find out that information. They have no social distancing in the area were yo wait on your food. This evening was a horrible nightmare with trying to get out of the structure. There is no car control when cars are in drive thru. I spent 20 minutes just trying to get out the parking and when i called the store more than 5 times no one answered! I got to try them at their new location in Downey right by Downey High School. Honestly, it was okay. The overall experience was not a bad one. The service was right on point. I waited about 2 minutes before my food was ready. I had the grilled chicken sandwich. I have heard much hype about their spicy chicken sandwich. Maybe that should have been the first thing I had during my very first visit to this place. No complaints about my food whatsoever. The sandwich/burger itself is small in size. Their criss cut fries are right on point. They do have a playpen outside for the kids. I don't know, I guess I was expecting much more. To me, it was just average. I've had their chicken burgers and they also come out bland for me. I opted for their drive thru service and was pleasantly surprised to see they have salad options. Great! Asian salad with spicy chicken (5 stars) - they normally offer this salad with regular fried chicken but asked for the spicy filet. The server had to ask her manager if they can do a switch and I'm glad they can. With a calorie count of 330, I am in love. But watch out for the sodium content because at 1090mg, it is way more than what your daily intake should be. Ingredients: *sliced, hot Chick-fil-A® nuggets *chopped romaine lettuce & baby greens *red cabbage *carrots *mandarin orange segments *honey-thai almonds* *Chinese garlic & ginger wontons* I got the honey sesame dressing with the salad which tasted good but I didn't use all of it. Undoubtedly, the WORST Chick-Fil-A!!!! Went for breakfast drive-thru and it was horrible experience. Took forever to take order. The order taker asks if I wanted Sauce for my food. Yes, please provide the sauce that comes with the breakfast burrito. I get to the window and another girl asks the same question again. Why asks when taking my order when you have to asks again??? On top of that, I had to ask for my change back for the money I gave her! Girl says, "My Bad." I had to ask for napkins, sauce, and change back. The food was horrible!!! No taste and bland!!! I brought my family here based solely on the fact that there is an indoor play area for kids inside this location. We aren't really fans of Chick Fil-A's food, but we decided to give it another shot. We ordered a variety of food which totaled around $32. We got a #1, #2, 12 nuggets, a 6 piece nuggets kids meal, and a large tortilla soup. My combo was the deluxe chicken sandwich. It was just okay. I tried various sauces to try and liven up this sandwich but it didn't help much. The signature Chick Fil-A sauce was pretty unimpressive. I stuck primarily to ketchup and BBQ sauce after sampling all the different sauces. The ranch and buffalo sauces especially stood out as being bad. The Polynesian sauce was okay. My sandwich was pretty mediocre. The French fries were standard. The chicken tortilla soup was actually pretty good. The nuggets were nothing special. What sets this restaurant apart from other fast food joints is the service (and the indoor play area, especially on a rainy day). I've never had this kind of service before inside a fast food chain. Every time someone helped me and I said thank you, they replied with "my pleasure." It wasn't just once or twice; it was every single time. While we were seated, different staff members came to check on us four different times. I haven't been to Chick Fil-A that many times before. Are they all this professional? When I first walked in the door I was carrying both of my twins because of the rain (didn't want them to get wet). A staffer saw me looking around for high chairs and she brought two for me. A young man refilled my wife's diet coke and brought me more BBQ sauce packets. Someone please let me know, are all Chick Fil-A's like this? This is great customer service. I almost wanted to give five stars, but the food is simply not good enough to warrant that. The indoor play area has different levels to climb, a slide, and some fun games to interact with. My kids had fun playing here. So even though the food is mediocre, I gave four stars based on the excellent play area for my kids in addition to the stellar service. These employees give better service than I've had at other supposedly nicer sit-down restaurants. Kudos to whoever decided to train and run their staff in this manner. This aspect of customer service will keep us coming back to this location despite the food being only average. Customer service really does go a long way. read more

I heart you Chick Fil A. Love that there's finally one in Downey now. There's 2 drive thru windows so drive thru is fast. I haven't ever had a problem with them. In fact, I forgot my drink at the drive thru and drove off and worker ran over to my car about to turn onto Firestone to deliver the drink that had been forgotten. The workers are always enthusiastic about life. And the food is just as good as all the other chick fil a's. The location is not ideal during school drop off and pick up hours. It's a maze getting to the chick fil a because there's high school students from Downey HS everywhere and it slows you down trying to navigate around them. As for food, they have grilled chicken sandwiches and grilled chicken nuggets for the health conscious. They are closed on Sunday. And if you didn't already know, you can substitute a kid's meal toy for an ice dream (chick fil a's rendition of a vanilla soft serve). Invest in a calendar card at the end of the year. I love this brand new chic-Fil-A . I com here often. It's set in a great location on Firestone. The owner of this location, Mr. Borg, has assimilated his staff properly. They're all great! From the moment we got in, we were greeted very warmly! And when we were eating, there were people walking around asking us how we were doing. I do not like to give one star to businesses, I only do it when they actually earned it. I've visited this location several times already, but yesterday was one of my worse experience at this place, At the time of paying my bill they told me that my order will take a little longer and I said it was fine, so They told me to park at the from parking lot and leave my emergency lights on. After twenty minutes of waiting I got out of my car and went to ask what happened to my order, they told me that they will check, after another 10 minutes of waiting I went to the other side and asked again I even called the number and no one picked up the phone. Making a long story short I went back to the other side and they told me that someone will meet me at my car. Total waiting time was a little more than 40 minutes, And the explanation was that at the time of cashier change or something like that they forgot about my order.I know it was a busy day but no one approached me after so long, parked in front of the door where people picked up or place orders and with my blinkers lights on.
