So I come here all the time with my boyfriend. We always order thru the app b/c it's easier and we like to collect our points. So after a long day of work for us we decided to get food. We ordered the food before we left our home and of course when we arrived we notified the app so they could start making our food. Around 8:30 we for the notification that the food was ready. So my boyfriend got out the car to get the food. I was wondering what was taking so long I assumed that maybe they fell behind since this is always a busy location. 30 minutes later he come up to The car and I could tell that he was mad. When I asked him what's wrong he said that the girl giving out orders for some reason had him wait. He said when he walked up he said he went up to The table and gave my name. She said they were still working on our order. He said that 5 other people got his order before he went up and asked her what was she hold up and he gave her my name. She looked at the bag that was sitting on the table for a while and that when she said the Order was ready. Since he said it had been sitting for a while I wanted to make sure the fries was still fresh. They were cold and super salty. I had to go get the fries replaced. Worst part was we got home and the box our food was in was soggy and the chicken sandwich was cold as hell. I was super disappointed. We paid $25 for some soggy chicken sandwich. I only gave 2 stars because she girl who replaced the fries was nice. But it will make me think twice about ordering at this location. read more

Very friendly joint. Usually I hit the drive thru with fast food but the line was longer than a ride at Disney so I went in. Now first thing that caught my eye after I parked was they have The chicken biscuit bites here. Dang I haven't had these in yearrrrs but I always remember them as being so good. They are seriously awesome. They're mini chicken burgers if u will and the bun "biscuit" had the best flavor/texture. I enjoyed every bite especially with the sweet sriracha and chic filet sauces . Now don't judge me but seeing all the sauces while waiting I got a little excited and got a few of everything. I brought my family here based solely on the fact that there is an indoor play area for kids inside this location. We aren't really fans of Chick Fil-A's food, but we decided to give it another shot. We ordered a variety of food which totaled around $32. We got a #1, #2, 12 nuggets, a 6 piece nuggets kids meal, and a large tortilla soup. My combo was the deluxe chicken sandwich. It was just okay. I tried various sauces to try and liven up this sandwich but it didn't help much. The signature Chick Fil-A sauce was pretty unimpressive. I stuck primarily to ketchup and BBQ sauce after sampling all the different sauces. The ranch and buffalo sauces especially stood out as being bad. The Polynesian sauce was okay. My sandwich was pretty mediocre. The French fries were standard. The chicken tortilla soup was actually pretty good. The nuggets were nothing special. What sets this restaurant apart from other fast food joints is the service (and the indoor play area, especially on a rainy day). I've never had this kind of service before inside a fast food chain. Every time someone helped me and I said thank you, they replied with "my pleasure." It wasn't just once or twice; it was every single time. While we were seated, different staff members came to check on us four different times. I haven't been to Chick Fil-A that many times before. Are they all this professional? When I first walked in the door I was carrying both of my twins because of the rain (didn't want them to get wet). A staffer saw me looking around for high chairs and she brought two for me. A young man refilled my wife's diet coke and brought me more BBQ sauce packets. Someone please let me know, are all Chick Fil-A's like this? This is great customer service. I almost wanted to give five stars, but the food is simply not good enough to warrant that. The indoor play area has different levels to climb, a slide, and some fun games to interact with. My kids had fun playing here. So even though the food is mediocre, I gave four stars based on the excellent play area for my kids in addition to the stellar service. These employees give better service than I've had at other supposedly nicer sit-down restaurants. Kudos to whoever decided to train and run their staff in this manner. This aspect of customer service will keep us coming back to this location despite the food being only average. Customer service really does go a long way. read more

I heart you Chick Fil A. Love that there's finally one in Downey now. There's 2 drive thru windows so drive thru is fast. I haven't ever had a problem with them. In fact, I forgot my drink at the drive thru and drove off and worker ran over to my car about to turn onto Firestone to deliver the drink that had been forgotten. The workers are always enthusiastic about life. And the food is just as good as all the other chick fil a's. The location is not ideal during school drop off and pick up hours. It's a maze getting to the chick fil a because there's high school students from Downey HS everywhere and it slows you down trying to navigate around them. As for food, they have grilled chicken sandwiches and grilled chicken nuggets for the health conscious. They are closed on Sunday. And if you didn't already know, you can substitute a kid's meal toy for an ice dream (chick fil a's rendition of a vanilla soft serve). Invest in a calendar card at the end of the year. Hello just want to start off by saying I love chick fil a service and there's no other place like their service but today it was a mess , I totally understand mistakes we're all human but I waited almost an hour after I placed my order on the app and they got my order confused with someone else's order because of the same name . So it turns out my order was never even made , honestly didn't have to take almost an hour to get my order and asked to see my order number and placement multiple times and I was extremely out of patient at this point but I wasn't yelling at anyone and then I get my order but I'm Missing a chicken sandwich, after that I ask them can I please get these sauces and the young lady said yes no Problem . After getting my missing chicken sandwich, I asked her again , did you give me the sauce ? She said yes . Well she lied but I believed her , after driving 3 blocks down I realized I didn't get my sauce I asked for . Came here with a discount card purchased at my sons high school in downey, discount card has chick-fil-a logo. When it was time for me to pay I gave cashier my disc card with, the offer said free meal. Cashier was so rude and said that there was a miscommunication with high school and them, wish has nothing to do with me at all. I always have a great experience at all Chick-Fil-A locations except for this one. I went to this location for a quick stop before heading back into work and ended up in this line for 45 min. There were even 2 lines at the drive thru to supposedly help reduce wait times during peak hours but it did not help one bit. Ordering was so slow, cars were barely moving, food was ready before I even left the line that they were delivering to the cars that were STILL in line, and I finished my sandwich by the time I left the driveway. I was stuck in traffic and decided to just stop and get some food as opposed to sitting in bumper-to-bumper death. I wasn't feeling like getting a full meal at a sit down restaurant, so I figured why not get Chick-Fil-A? It has been ages since I've eaten here. What I do remember about it is that it makes a simple delicious chicken sandwich. As a result, of course I got the chicken sandwich meal. Sadly, the chicken was soggy - not crispy at all. It was a very sad looking chicken patty. However, I do love that the condiment bar here is expansive and available for all to enjoy. There is something just so tasty about that Polynesian sauce. And to be able to enjoy as much as it as you want? Yum yum yum. The waffle cut fries were on point as well. Polynesian sauce + waffle cut fries = bomb dot com. And of course, Chick-Fil-A is known for their wonderful service. Food comes out quickly and people actually walk around asking if you need refills. Quite nice especially for a fast food place. To employees were rude to me in front of my guests. I ordered three meals we were sitting on a table of eight. They forgot one order of fries. I simply asked for them they immediately asked me for my receipt. I gave them my receipt and then questioned me Where the fries were. My very first visit here branded as "bad". I had always heard of it and went for a chicken sandwich. I left with buns, the chicken patty and 3 slices of pickle. I questioned it and did not understand that this was the standard version. A very good friend of mine later had amazingly got the team I coached for a good amount of these for the kids. All the same. It was then when I understood how the chicken sandwich came and was served. I went again and then tired the wrap and other items.. every visit something new. The food here is great. Not to talk about their customer service. As mentioned before, they help out local teams with food and are more than happy to do so. I've worked at a different Chick-fil-A location for 2 years and THIS location gets TWO thumbs up! The drive-through wait time was understandable, considering how many cars they were serving. Their food is DEFINITELY fresher and better. The fries look amazing and everything really looks like a replica of the pictures! The service here is always great from the minute you walk through the door, you're greeted with a "Welcome to Chick-fil-a!" and a smile. They have a convenient double lane drive-thru for speedy service when you're on the go. The restaurant is always clean and adorned with fresh flowers daily at every table. Typically I'm not a huge fan of fast food breakfast but their chicken biscuit breakfast sandwich is sooooooo good! A nice sized chicken breast nestled between 2 buttery biscuit halves... #foodporn. From the lunch menu I'm a fan of the Spicy Chicken Sandwich and their Nuggets with plenty of dipping sauce options to choose from. And last but not least, HUGE fan of their Strawberry Shakes! The dining area is pretty big and they also offer an outdoor, pup friendly patio with 4 umbrella covered tables. This locaton also features a play area to keep your little ones entertained. I've tried pretty much everything in the menu and if I'm feeling something healthy I go for the Cobb salad with nuggets and avocado ranch dressing or the grilled chicken sandwich, but my favorite item on the menu is the spicy chicken sandwich delux with chicken Fil a sauce and you can ask for no salt on the fries!! Always hits the spot. Another healthy option for me is the Chick Fil a cool wrap with avocado ranch dressing. We went to Chick-fil-A in Downey to get lunch. As we pulled in the parking lot was full. As I am handicapped I went to pull in to the space however there was a non-handicapped vehicle in the spot with three people loading Chick-fil-A boxes into it. We got lucky and the spot across the way opened up and we parked there. We knocked on the window for the driver and asked her what she was doing in a handicapped space and she told us the usual: I'm only going to be here for a few minutes and started yelling to a woman named Anna that we were harassing her. We tried to speak with Anna and she walked away from us throwing her arms around and saying the same thing: we're only going to be there a few minutes. We asked to speak with the manager whose name is Eddie. He said he had no excuse and that he would take care of it. My wife asked him if he was one of the people that was loading the boxes and he got a little flush and said yes. We called Chick-fil-A's corporate office and got the usual run around but they were "very concerned" and would get back to us ......crickets. In the picture you will see Eddie, the Manager, the assistant manager and Anna, the marketing manager for the Downey store. We didn't expect this from Chick-fil-A as they tout very Christian values and compassion. They may have only going to have been there for a few minutes but I'm handicapped for life. This chick fil a has been going downhill ever since the new chick fil a on imperial has opened. The quality of the fries tastes greasy and cold now. I also have noticed they are being stingy with the fries. I ordered large fries and it was only filled halfway as if they were medium fries. Another time i ordered from here, they forgot to give me my medium fries. I was not going to complain because it was only 3 dollars and not worth the wait to complain about. read more

These are just a few of the things that make Chick-fil-A great IMO, besides the sauce, obviously. There isn't much to say about Chick-fil-A besides GO TRY IT IF YOU HAVEN'T.
