First time trying out this restaurant. All in all it was pretty good. I had the Spicy Deluxe Sandwich and the chicken nuggets. Was tasty though a bit greasy. Customer service was sensational. Smiling employees aplenty here. I felt welcomed and to top it off the food was very good. Fast forward to this morning and tried their breakfast chicken sliders and they were very good. They are basically chicken nuggets in this sweet bread small bun. Their egg white sandwich was also very good though the presentation in the bag was a bit sloppy. The cheese was off center (as in off the chicken and wrapped around the bottom of the bun) and the chicken also was almost entirely out of the bun. I don't expect perfection but something they should maybe try to make at least passably pleasing to the eyes. All in all will definitely visit this place again. This is just about the only place that I'm not afraid to wait in line for because I know the employees are trained to work efficiently. The line sometimes goes well onto Firestone blvd and they have numerous employees taking your order, they take your payment and even bring out your food before you have even made it to the first window it's truly insane. Today my wife and I including my father-in-law came to have lunch at the newly open Chick-fil-A in the city of Downey. We visited this Chick-fil-A two weeks ago when they barely opened. The one thing that was missing is the inflatable Chick-fil-A mascot that was outside of the restaurant. The food is incredible and we enjoyed it very much. We have travel to other Chick-fil-A in different cities and states. Chick-fil-A is getting more popular in their commercials and that's why people are coming to Chick-fil-A. I ordered the new grilled nuggets I couldn't wait to try them out, what a big disappointment are they kidding the Nuggets were very small and chopped up to look like 12 pieces are they kidding me. The display show nice big pieces of the grilled nuggets but buyers beware be sure to ask how big the pieces are. Grilled nuggets are really good I was really surprised the Nuggets have lots of flavor and juicy that was so delicious. The Chick-fil-a in Downey tastes as good as any. It's brand new as of September 2014, so it's fresh & clean. The parking lot is spacious, but is typically packed until you start driving towards the drive-thru... My only hesitation in rewarding them with 5 stars is the dang trash cans are always full. Been there twice since it's grand opening & the employees are nice... Friendly... Get our food out quickly, but they aren't as efficient emptying the trash & recycling receptacles. Awkward. The hubby loves their chicken nuggets & our 14-month-old loves the grilled chicken nuggets, so yeah... I'm a fan. This chick fil a always gets your order wrong they never listen properly when the customer places their order and they make you wait on the intercom it never fails. Too many young adults who don't pay attention to detail and customers dislike when theirs always an issue with their food. I must admit that when I call to complain over the phone about the order they always are helpful and offer to replace it. Sometimes I go back Sometimes I don't, just not enough time on lunch break. Their friendliness over the phone is excellent but in person it isn't as great as other chick fil a's. The app (not their fault) triple charged me the other day. Today Management couldn't fix it at the moment but wasn't very comforting in making me feel that I would be taken care of. It was just like a shrug and we'll see just come back once charges settle. Didn't offer name and a come see me so I can be sure all is taken care of. So I feel when I need to go back it will be a new face again to explain and try to get help. So I order more food today, and of course I don't check the bag. My fault, in fact I beat myself up thinking come on dude, you know this the worst place for getting an order right. A chicken biscuit is missing and I got charged for it. Now if you come to this store you know the bagging is not the best so to check your order is difficult. Other stores pack nicely and you can eyeball it. Here I'm surprised I haven't found a random roll of toilet paper or keys just tossed in with the rest of the mess. If I choose to come back I will hold the line/employee up to do an inventory check since I can't depend on them to get everything in there. It actually sucks to think about because EVERY other fast food chain is mediocre service. You wait in chick fil a lines and pay more for that extra service. There is a reason people meme the service. Lately mobile orders are not being thoroughly checked and not only that but if you request delivery and request a particular time they don't deliver between the time you request. I use to love using the app and having it delivered I didn't mind paying the fee because it was always accurate, but that hasn't been the case for a few months now. I've began to place orders for pick up and even that is a hit or miss. I don't feel the same amount of customer service effort is being put in as it was at the beginning of Covid. A lady named Margarita. She came to our table at least three times and I hate to admit. That's more than some sit down restaurants. She was genuinely nice. Very attentive.
