ows a bowl of breakfast food
    Aguilar A.

Just order a sausage burrito and they gave me a bowl A bowl - look like the are reducing the budget to make this bowls take a look at this photo is a very sad bowl and dong get my wrong I love chick-fil-a but this looks sad

I took pic of when the empl brought my food out w the receipt in my hand @ same time. The pic is time stamped so you can see it took 20 min

Entered drive thru on 9/19 @ 6:12 & rec'd my order @ 6:35. I had ordered on my mobile app a chic sand & chic cool wrap. Then entered drive thru & told young lady I wanted no pickle on sandwich and no lettuce on wrap. She flubbed my name and then said she got it. I repeated it & asked if she had it and she said "yes". I get to window & wrap had lettuce where I was directed to carry out que. 20 min later at 6:35 my order comes out & I ask for manager. His name is Ken. I ask for his last name and he refuses to give it to me. He says its not the girls fault at first giving me this long explanation that it came out wrong from the kitchen and he sent it back. Finally he admits she had to have messed up bec I had the ticket on my bag and it didn't mention no lettuce. They didn't know until I approached the window. Finally at 6:45 I said I had to go and could I at least exchange the sandwich for a hot one (he didn't offer himself) he said sure and ran back in. He says he is sorry 2x but does not offer a free sandwich, coupon maybe some fries or a drink to go with the sandwich. I had been waiting 21 minutes to get my food and its the 2nd time in 3 weeks they had messed up my order . If chic-fil-a reads these reviews, you can see the date on my receipt that I entered the drive thru and then the time stamp on the pic of when the empl brought the food out.

Padded edges to protect those little fingers. Good job!

They were in the process of training a new hire at the time, so the line took some time to move through, but I still got my food pretty quickly. I ordered the harvest crunch vegetable which had all of my favorites - the mushrooms were so flavorful and my favorite part. The only two critiques I had was that 1) I asked for half/half rice and romaine and my bowl had way too much romaine, it really overpowered all of the other ingredients that came in the bowl and 2) the tofu was not my favorite - it wasn't crispy or as flavorful as I would like it, so that's something for the plant-based community to keep in mind. That said, I imagine all of the other animal-based proteins taste better! If their tofu was improved, I would absolutely return to try some of their other unique bowl combos.

I got a wheat wrap with some steak, spinach, and mushrooms, while my wife got a mixed grain bowl with chicken and bacon. We were both very happy with our meals, and while the food wasn't cheap (about $15 a person), I didn't feel ripped off either. The website mentioned that the ingredients were high quality and that the dressings were made in house, and it definitely tasted like it! Overall, I'd definitely come back here to get a healthy meal.

Service is very friendly, and as quick as possible, considering that stuff seems to be made to order. I ordered a chicken kebab platter which comes over a bed of basmati rice, possibly with saffron. Whatever the rice tasted great and it wasn't dry like at a lot of places. The chicken was marinated in a tangy yogurt-spice mix, grilled and topped with a tahini sauce. Delicious! As sides I got mujadara and roasted vegetables which were also tasty. I'll be back for takeout for sure in the future.

"Bodega-like Mediterranean Grill & Grocery in Parkwood area of Durham"…read more This place is WAY off the beaten path for most, but I'm so happy to have gotten to try it out. Nestled in a little strip between a Muslim school and a mosque is this grill and grocery. We came on a Wednesday evening, and almost every table was already taken by diners. You order your food at a counter, and it has the Middle Eastern foods you'd expect-- kofta, shawarma, gyros, falafel, baba ghanouj, hummus, baklava, etc. I opted for the lamb gyro sandwich with a side of baba ghanouj, and my dining partner had the falafel sandwich. They call your number when it's ready. Food took maybe 10 minutes to receive, so we browsed the market area. It's not a huge selection, but very traditional-- nice seeing so many labels in Arabic, and along with standards (e.g., canned fava beans for Ful Medames), they also had things like frozen chopped mulukhiyah leaves-- that's definitely a rarer sight. Lots of good spices too. The food was EXCELLENT. The lamb was juicy and perfect (unlike what another Yelp review said), the tzatziki sauce was delicious, and the baba ghanouj was perfectly cooked and textured. I had a small bite of the falafel, and it was indeed one of the best I've had in the US. Price was fair, too-- the sandwiches are all under $10 before tax and tip, and making it a combo with side and drink cost just something like $2.50. And service was friendly-- although they called out numbers, they did walk out with the food to try to find and bring you your dishes. And while it was an older space, it was overall still generally clean. Overall, I'd VERY happily come back.

Loved the cinnamon butter it came with but it needed to also be warmed up a bit because you couldn't so the fries in it. Wish they had a microwave available - maybe next to the drink station (similar to a Panera Bread set up). Then I could have warmed up my fries and cinnamon butter. I know the servers would probably been happy to do that, but it takes a little more effort to have to ask them. Overall, a great experience and we'd be back.

In my memory it's even better in the new location. There's a mix of Turkish and other Mediterranean food on offer, and it was hard to make a choice. I got the falafel/hummus wrap and my companion got a salad. There is a small menu of beer and wine available, and we got a glass of white, and a non-alcoholic beer (Dry January). Both were perfectly fine for lunch. The food was super-fresh and well seasoned. The portions were more than enough for lunch. The only niggle is that the poor woman working as a server was all alone, and one person simply isn't enough to cover the whole place. We weren't in a hurry, but people trying to pack a visit into a short lunch hour might have been cramped. Anyway, we'll be back the next time we're in Durham for lunch.

The menu includes a few options with tempeh but is mostly vegetable based, and is not full of artificial fake meats or weird fusion stuff. Ordering a sprout salad was a good decision. I was worried the nuts would be excessive but it was a reasonable amount, and the dressing and finely shaved vegetables made for a light experience. My vegetable stew came with some aromatic rice, and a satisfying flavor mix. Ordering tea was a good idea as well; almost everything in this cuisine seems to be lime-flavored. The overall portion size for price was not overly favorable. The location is near the hospital system and in an area with dicey parking, it does have its own parking spots outside and in an adjoining garage.
