I guess if I was at the corner of St. Charles and 83, and desperate for a chicken sandwich, I would probably choose between Chick-fil-A and Portillo's. While the original chicken sandwich at Chick-fil-A is good, the one at Portillo's is better. Plus, Portillo's has awesome french fries. For me, the only edge that Chick-fil-A has is the fruit cup. Although, when I ordered it I felt a bit cheated. The top was covered with strawberries, mandarin oranges, and blueberries, but the bottom of the cup ... all apples. Kind of like a birthday cake. The frosting is the good part and the cake part I can live without. As of this writing there are ninety-six restaurants in Elmhurst. I plan on eating at, and reviewing, every one. The food came out fast. The food was great. The chicken tenders were actually tender. The waffle fries I got were under done so they were floppy.. Since we dined in, I could have asked for another serving but I didn't. Love the coleslaw. My husband had a salad, which was good but he was disappointed in the salad dressing options. They have at least 8 different dressings but no French or Thousand Island. As another reviewer noted, you have to cut across the busy drive through lane to enter the establishment. Whoever designed that was crazy. I'm wondering if the restaurant has been sued by someone getting hurt trying to cross over the drive through lane to get to the parking lot. I love chick-fil-a. My favorite thing about chick-fil-A is chick-fil-A sauce. Which is the best barbecue sauce in the world (which kinda isn't saying much because I don't really like most barbeque sauce). But I love chick-fil-a sauce, I eat it with all of my meat. Chicken, pork, steak, turkey you named it I dip it. It drives my family mad, but for me it has just become a new condiment. Which is added to by the fact you can just buy a bottle of it. (sweet) Plus as an added bonus it helps chick-fil-a employees in paying for college. Chick-fil-A is also the only place (in my area) where you can get waffle fries at a fast food restaurant. I mean different fry types are always a plus in my book. Chick-fil-a is third place in my list of greatest fast food fries. (behind arbys and popeyes) So I think rather highly of it. Also I love sea salt, which makes me feel eloquent and gaudy. Then there's ordering. My favorite part is the point system because after you earn a certain amount of points you get free food. Due to my brother's love of chicken leading us to get chick-fil-a almost every week, you know we cashed out on those free meals. I also never had to wait more than like 5 minutes when I was picking up my food. So Phenomenal service. Also on pricing, I can't say much on this because I don't pay for things but for what your getting, the $8 price on a deluxe sandwich and a large fry is a phenomenal price for those juicy burgers. Plus you get like four chick-fil-a sauce packets and that's double the amount I need. So More sauce for me(Yay). The only flaw I can point out is the lack of things on the menu that are not chicken. But there's a side soup and three salads, so I can tell chick-fil-a at least made an effort for people like my mom who is going along with our choice but doesn't want chicken. And honestly that's all I can ask for, I don't know what menu item they would add to more non-chicken items. I know I can't speak on a lot of things, like the employees, the inside of the restaurant or anything like that. As I only pickup my orders and eat at home. But I hope I can give you a glimpse into why I love this restaurant. There isn't much else to say, so I will leave you with this: 'You may have a different opinion, that it's bad or something like that. But Chick-fil-a puts a smile on my face everytime I dip my sea salt waffle fry into that orange chick-fil-a sauce. And my, I love that sauce.' read more

Food is overall good and spicy chicken sandwich , but NEVER get the "Peppermint Chocolate Chip Milkshake". They tried to be cute and up crushed up candy canes in it, but they don't make the pieces small enough so it feels like you are drinking razer blades. I just want to say thank you to manager working tonight 3/4/2021 and her team. Such amazing customer service, this was my first time coming to Chick-fil-a and I had just come out from work and didn't know they closed at 10pm. Went through the drive through and the manager came to my car and asked how can she help, she had such a cheerful tone in her voice. I told her just nuggets and fries I swear this was a miracle, pulled up received my food and I got a free Dr Pepper like I seriously felt so lucky! There was another young lady with her who told me about her favorite sauce and she also had such a cheerful tone in her voice. This is the first time ever I have experienced such great service from a drive thru. I don't know what this place is doing for there employees that they're so happy but I hope they get a gift card or employee appreciation because truly they were great! read more

This place is awesome! The best fast food in my opinion. This is one of our favorite places! Have never had a bad experience at a Chick-Fil-A, this one is no exception. We decided to dine in for lunch. We were immediately greeted. Employees was very friendly and professional, they also brought our meal to our table when it was ready. Restaurant and restrooms were really clean. Condiment station was well organized and well stocked. Chick-Fil-A employees are so well trained in customer service. All I have to say is wow, SO good! It had been 20 years since I'd been to a CFA before...since my time down in FL and I'm so glad they decided to bring them to Illinois! I rolled up to the drive thru and I'm greeted by such a warm and friendly gentleman - This is fast food with style! I love this location of Chick-fil-a. Since the first time I went here to grab some quick bites and had an amazing experience with the food and the service, I always make it a point to visit it at least once each time I have a chance and whenever I am near the place. We all know that Chick-fil-a has delicious food, especially their chicken nuggets and their spicy chicken sandwiches, which are both my favorites, along with their waffle fries. Their food is good and this location, based on my experience, always serves it freshly cooked and definitely hot. I always enjoy the food without any single problem. Aside from that, their customer service is great inside the restaurant and at the drive-through. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. They always talk to customers happily, which is really a wonderful thing to experience each time I order and get some food from here. When I eat inside, the place is always clean and bright. Their drive through always has a long line, but I do not really wait for a long time because the line is moving fast and I am always able to get my food quickly despite the lines. read more

Like this Chick-Fil-A. They give me what feels like fresh food. My chicken strips and fries were super-hot as if they just came out of the fryer. I was very happy about that. Staff was polite. The warm, friendly and smiling customer service was superb. This place was quick when I ordered! Amazing tasting food and very well packed and presented. Food came quick. No complaints. I've honestly never had a bad experience at chick fil a, and this location was one of my favorites... until today. From the start, they had one cashier ringing with a growing line all the while 5 employees were congregated conversing behind the register. When one of the individuals finally came over to help ring, she seemed to be rushing me and my fellow lunch guest along. I ordered my food and she said, "no pickles", as if she knew what I wanted. I then said, "no I'd like extra pickles". She continued to rush me and my guest thru the completion of the order. Finally the food comes, mind you I ordered my fries no salt, well done. The fries were delivered with salt and were not well done. They then took my fries and then brought them right back saying that they were well done. Also, we ordered a milkshake which was not delivered at the time of the meal. This was just not the standard of service I am accustomed to at chick fil a. read more

Tables are gross, floors nasty, and garbage cans overflowing. It's hard to enjoy the wonderful food when I am staring at messy and sticky tables. I used to eat at Chick-Fil-A all the time back when I worked up in River North, so I was pretty ecstatic when I found out they were opening one 15 minutes from my house. It still amazes me how they can get chicken to taste that juicy and tender. Their signature Chick-Fil-A sauce is also a favorite condiment of mine (think honey mustard meets barbecue sauce). And once again, they get all five stars for their impeccable customer service. All their employees are super friendly and helpful, which really sets them apart from being just another fast food chain. My boss gave me a free card to come check out the new Chick-fil-A on Route 83. I've always been a skeptic of Chick-fil-A because I've found that the food hasn't lived up to the hype for me. When I went to another location, I tried the spicy chicken sandwich but didn't think it was all that. I went by a friend's recommendation and tried the original crispy sandwich and I liked it a lot. It's a very simple chicken sandwich but it's extra juicy and the pickles add an extra depth to it. The fries I received were cold and I'm not sure why because the sandwich was hot. Their crinkle fries are normally my favorite part! The service at the Drive-Thru was okay, albeit a little rushed because they were busy. I would give the overall experience a 3.5. I will come back and give them another try for sure, but as of now I wouldn't call myself a fan. read more

I DO NOT like this CFA. Out of all the plethora of CFA's in the area, this one is the worst. 1) The restaurant is in the middle of the parking lot and the drive-thru line circles the restaurant. So if you want to park and go inside, may the Lord be with you. 2) It is possible that no adults work here. The staff seems young and inexperienced. 3) Every single time someone opens and closes the back entrance door, the door to the kids play area opens and closes a little. If your kid is playing in there, you keep looking because you think they are escaping. 4) This CFA does not refill your drinks. At every other area CFA you get so many refills you nearly float home. 5) The service isn't friendly. What? I have dined in at this location twice now and I am not coming back. The last time I sat at my table for 15 minutes and my food never came out. I went to ask and they seemed confused. Apparently no one ever made it. Then we had to wait another 10 minutes for them to make it again. By this time the nugget was whining....and he had to eat his food in the car. The only good thing here is the food. Awful, Had a catering order for 6:00pm, called at 6:30pm to ask the status of the delivery and they said they thought it was for pick up. I ordered on-line and it CLEARLY says DELIVERY. This was for a corporate function, we order local catering 2-3 times a week for events. I will not choose Chick-fil-A ever again, they just lost a potential large volume customer. The worst was the girl on the phone was not apologetic at all, she was sarcastic and very rude about the situation. UPDATE: Owner delivered the order himself, very apologetic. He has only owned this location a few weeks and is still training his staff. I will certainly give them another shot based on his GREAT customer service. read more

There always seems to be internal staff working oh, but they are by far the SLOWEST location I've ever visited! Yes thank you no matter when you call ahead, place your order via the app or just go inside the store.. Your food is never ready on time and don't even think about going through the drive thru because that's a complete nightmare! Don't get me wrong.. the staff are very kind and the food is not an issue. But, just be prepared to spend an insanely amount of time picking up and/or a placing your order. read more
