This review is not about the food, everyone knows that Chic fil a provides you with delicious hot food and excellent customer service. Ummm, well not tonight. Tonight I was not pleased with the service that I recieved. I decided to redeem my free 8ct chicken nuggets (thanks for my reward, I really appreciate them), I ordered an 8ct grilled nugget bc after reading the reward it didn't say that you couldn't get grilled. Got to the window to scan my app and pay for my side of mac n cheese. My card was charged almost $8. I began to ask why and to make sure that my card was scanned, after a few minutes, the lady in the window stated it must be bc you have grilled nuggets, the reward is only for the fried. My head is hurting from a hard day at work, ok even though the reward didn't say that, cool, I'll pay, however I asked what's the difference in price between me purchasing an 8ct and mac n cheese separately and just purchasing the meal (meaning adding a drink to what I already have) we began to hear crickets and that's where the confusion started. The worker world not listen to our question and began to talk over us, she got the manager to refund me 82 cents which would be the difference between the price of a fried 8ct and a grilled 8ct. We expressed to her, that was not what I asked or wanted to do I want to add a drink to make it a meal if it is going to be the same, cheaper, or even a few cents more. She was still on the 82 cents being given back, while holding my card. She wad getting flustered and it seemed that the manager was becoming sick of the situation bc he stated, what does she want to do refund her meal or take the 82 cents. No sir, since I can't get my nuggets free I want to pay for meal, not an entree and a side! I wish that he would have came to the window to take charge bc she wasn't doing a good job listening to my request, and relaying what I was saying to him. By this time the line was backed up and I think the managers frustration was more towards let's get her what she wants so we can get this line down, which couldve been handled if he had stepped up to the window to assist. Long story short, I was refunded my 82 cents, my question was never answered, and I didn't get a drink, or a my pleasure. read more

As much as we'd like Chick-fil-A in our family and go there at different locations around the United States this Chick-fil-A in Vestavia as an awful drive-thru experience. At most other Chick-fil-A's around the Birmingham area wait time in the Drive-Thru line is usually less than 5 minutes. At this one you can sit in the Drive-Thru line for up to 20 minutes or more. This is by no fault of the staff. The staff does a great job of handling the issue of not having enough space to move customers through efficiently in the Drive-Thru line. I want to make it abundantly clear that the staff does a great job the restaurant as a whole does a great job and they are just having to work within the confines of the space that they were dealing with when they built the restaurant. read more

This specific location is closest to my house and my favorite. The staff is always quick and accurate with our order. I always get unsweet tea with my order and it has been right 299/300 times. Every other place I go I have to check because it's wrong half the time. Whenever they roll out new items, the are usually really good. I hope they never ever take the Asian salad off the menu. The spicy chicken sandwiches are good and of course the classic sandwich is exceptional. read more

The drive thru took a lot longer than expected. Our fries were okay but kind of hard and not as full as a large should be. Also, this is kind of weird, but the parking lot and the part of the restaurant we could see was really dirty. There were a lot of cups and.l napkins strewn around. Everybody has their favorite fast food restaurant. This place just happens to be mine. And this location does not let me down. All of the workers seem to be young and enthusiastic. They have never got my order wrong before. And I know this is a chain restaurant, so the food is going to taste similar without much differentiation. but the service at this particular Chick-fil-A is phenomenal and I go here for lunch just about every day. The people even though my order. During the holiday seasons, they also take their drive-thru and turned it into a drive-through light show by adding Christmas lights all over in the shape of a tunnel. Every time I go this Chick-fil-A's drive thru they get my name wrong. My name is Joe and I say it normally every time. Sometimes I even hit the "o" with a little extra juice to make sure you couldn't possibly mistake it for anything else. Regardless I still get Jeff or John, tonight it was Jim. One time tho (and reader, I need you to understand that this actually did happen) I got "Jew". He asked my name, I said Joe. Then he said "Jew?" The only reason I didn't correct him was because I was thinking "There's no way he heard Jew. And even if he thought he heard Jew, there's no way a rational human alive on the earth in the year 2019, could hear someone say their name was Jew without their brain immediately self correcting it to a name that isn't a religion. Clearly *I* must've been the one who misheard *him* say Jew." So I pulled around to the window and the girl (different person) opened it and asked "Are you Jew?" I should note that I don't blame the girl, she seemed pretty confused by it too but she was only relaying the name that was told to her by... probly a computer monitor actually. I think they're getting my name wrong on purpose. I can't prove it... yet, but I will. And when the truth is revealed, everyone who works for Chick-fil-A, including the corporate people, will be excommunicated from Gods love and cast into the lake of flames. Asked for a "side salad" and the cashiers were like "small or large?" And I was like "I thought there was only one size for the side salad?" And they said "no there's small and large." And turns out that they thought I meant the superfood side salad even though I NEVER said superfood. Anyway, I get home and open the salad and it's this disgusting clump of gooey greens. Hungry toddler, screaming baby in the backseat. It's already tough being a busy mom and going through the drive through for dinner is oftentimes the only option. The pandemic drive through is efficient, but BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR ORDER BEFORE DRIVING OFF. I often don't because I don't want to irritate the cars behind me, but at this location, don't be considerate and check your order before driving away. I pulled into a parking spot and they left out not one, but TWO orders of fries. I can't imagine how I and my 2.5 year old would have felt had I made this discovery at home. I have kids strapped in car seats-no way I'm going inside the restaurant. I call twice and after going through automated messages, no one picks up. Fortunately, I see an older white woman employee delivering a curbside order and I tell her what happened. She was nice and got my fries, but the whole incident added another 15 minutes to the experience and that's an eternity with crying children in the backseat. The customer service at this location has really gone to hell!! I sat at the speaker in the inside lane over five minutes while several cars had their order taken at the outside lane. Finally after I got to minute six with bees swarming around my window, I yelled hello. Then someone finally came to the speaker and took my order. Total time in the drive through, 15 minutes!! Service was quick and not too bad. My issue was that was the most unclean Chick-fil-A I've ever been to in my years of visiting dozens of locations (travel for work). From the doors going in to the cash register/drink machines to the condiments counter. Everything was splattered, sticky with a lot of build up, and mildew built up around the drink machine base. I was a bartender for a long time at high end chains, that was seriously just not putting in effort to clean the stations. Please for the love of sanitation wipe down the restaurant! This is possibly the best CFA in the area. I've been going here for three years on and off because it's less than a mile from where I work and I've never had a complaint. The employees are super friendly! The store is sparkling clean every time, and The food is always hot and fresh. The three stars for the chicken, because, come on... it's Chick-fil-A. And I love Chick-fil-A. But... Negative a billion zillion stars because this is the slowest CFA on the face of the planet. Seriously. I don't know what would help. I hate the double drive through lanes too. I think those make everything go slower, not faster. And yet, when I get up to the window (after, like, 45 minutes, i'm not even kidding) the person at the window usually has the nice "my pleasure" CFA lingo, but is super speedy... like, holding my bag of food out of the window before I even pull up. And then it's wham! here's your drink, wham! here's your card back, goodbye!! All very rushed and frazzled. Maybe going inside would be faster? I don't know. I mean, I'll still keep coming here because it's the closest CFA to where I live, but good grief. It's sticking fries and chicken in a frier... which is something all fast food restaurants do. Today my company ordered lunch from this Chick-fil-A, it was a 12 part order, so small mistakes are expected. However, they forgot half of the order; I didn't realize the mistake until I arrived back at work. After I ate my lunch, I went back to Chick-fil-A and they said "Welcome to Chick-fil-A" and then immediately "did we forget the food" and they rectified the situation no questions asked. I came to this location a couple of weeks ago and ordered soup and salad. The salad was left out of my bag. I was a bit put out but no big deal.I called to let them know I would be in the following day to get my missing food. Well, the next morning I show up with my receipt and ask for the manager. The man never looked at me..just said I'll be right there. Well ,I got my salad and decided to order breakfast while I waited..I ordered the chicken biscuit combo. By this time I still have not been acknowledged so I decided to just leave because I had to get to work. I went to the car and checked my bag..I'm glad I did because my order was wrong again! Went back in to get it corrected..still no manager. So I called when I got to work .I spoke to a nice woman who introduced herself as the manager. I wasn't rude and the conversation was professional. She offered to send me coupons and had me painstakingly give her all my contact information so she could mail them. Well I live less than 5 min away and I still haven't got them. I don't really care about the coupons but I feel that if you are going to have me take time to give you my info, they could have at least did what they offered to do.
