Since this event the store manager contacted me. He agreed that the employee (who was NOT a manager) was out of line and planned some coaching for him. He offered a free meal for my family and I kindly turned him down and asked that he instead provide my free meal to the next 10 veterans that came in his restaurant. He happily agreed. I have since received communication from him that his staff gave out well north of 10 free meals to veterans that day. This....is the Chick Fil A that I have come to know and love. I've come to this location quite a bit as it is closest to my house and I normally get very good service but the last 5 times that I have gone through the drive thru I have been given the wrong sauces every time. I don't know if the person taking my order can't hear properly (even though I've repeated myself several times the last few times) or they are just out of that particular sauce but if that is the case I'd rather they tell me they're out of that sauce than just assume which sauce id rather have in its place. In my opinion, this is one of the worst chickfila's I've ever been to. The staff is rude and unfriendly, I constantly have mistakes on my order and they make no effort to fix it or even acknowledge it. In the drive through they never read back my order, which would definitely help with order accuracy. The staff in the drive through is extremely rude and never gives me the customer service I expect from a chickfila. The only reason I come back is because of the convenient location. I just went through this morning and told the girl on the window there was an issue with my order and she proceeded to hand me the INCORRECT food anyways and stare at me dismissively. I usually use the mobile ordering app to get my food and leave as quickly as possible. There's an option to order Lunch as well with a notice that it will take 15-20 minutes to prepare since it takes longer in the morning, which I understand and was completely fine with since I work in a kitchen too. An elderly man passing receipts to customers angrily told me never to order lunch again and that the app shouldn't have lunch as an option. I understood the time it would take and was completely okay with it but decided to cancel the order anyways since he seemed to have an issue with it. So Chick Fil A is my go-to fast food as I travel and try not to gain weight. About 3-4 times a week I eat Chick Fil A across the country. I frequently get surveys and always complete them very positively as I have never had a bad Chick Fil A experience.........until today. I sit here today at 1:30 PM eating, very dismayed as for the first time ever I could not use the free sandwich coupon I was given after completing a survey from last week. The coupon is always for a free chicken sandwich, which I do not eat. But I have always been allowed to use my coupon for an 8 count grilled nuggets. Sometimes I have to pay a small up charge, other times there is no up charge. But I have never been told I couldn't use it toward grilled nuggets at all. I presented my coupon and asked to upgrade and was told by the cashier and the manager she checked with that I can only use it as stated on the coupon. Very poor customer service. If many other locations allow for the upgrade, all should! read more

I've frequented this CFA location quite often as I live right around the corner from it. Because I work in Riverside and intern in Five Points, I pass by the Towncenter on my way and have frequently stopped for breakfast around 8 AM. This morning, I woke up later than normal and stopped by around 10ish. I always do a mobile order through the app and have always been able to walk in and out within one minute. Today, when I walked in, there was a lady that seemed to have experienced some issues between what her mobile order said and what their screens told them. Seemed like minor technological issues that could be resolved easily, no big deal. As she was talking to who seemed to be a couple managers (different shirts than others) I sat down and waited because I've been in their shoes and I know it can take time to resolve the issue. I ended up waiting a good 10-15 minutes when they were done with her within five minutes of me being there. There were no lines and there were people that came in and placed their orders and still received their meals before I did. I was still slightly patient, but what really got to me is that while I sat on my phone, I could see the managers(?) still look up at me and not say anything the entire time. When I decided to walk up to the counter, I told one of them I had a mobile order and after he looked at the screen, he asked if I was sure my order went through. I showed it to him and after he looked it over, I got my food in 10 seconds. Then after I drove away, I realized the chicken biscuit I ordered didn't have the eggs and cheese I ordered on it. I wasn't too bothered over that, but I was more bothered by how inefficient things seemed to be going with how slow their walk-in order counter was in comparison to what it could've been. read more

I frequent Chik Fil A often, stopped by to grab a quick bite, definitely was off-peak hours. The drive thru line was outrageously long, so decided to go inside. The line inside was very long as well. As I was waiting, I realized it wasn't because it was a busy time, but their process was extremely inefficient. There were 5 people standing around but only 2 taking orders (multiple empty registers). Everyone was friendly as usual, but it turned into 20 minute ordeal to grab a quick sandwich. I must reiterate it because what they're saying is absolutely true. For starters, no matter what you order, the chicken on your dish will be incredible. This place (and every Chick Fil-A across the nation for that matter) does chicken extremely well. The chicken sandwiches, the chicken nuggets, the chicken salads, everything is beyond fantastic. Moving on, let's talk about how busy this place can get because it's so close to a university and inside the St. John's Town Center. Despite the crowdedness, this location remains clean, orderly and efficient when it comes to fast food delivery. I've been to this Chick Fil-A twice now and both times the place was packed. However, I didn't wait for my food as long as I expected. There are 2 Chik Fil-a's closer to our home, but have a better experience at Town Center location. Now Chik Fil-a's are generally cleaner and more upbeat than nearly all other fast food offerings in Jacksonville. They are "New" comers to this market in fairness. Most stores are less than 2 years old. Time will tell how they fair, BUT if they continue to produce excellent food and have clean lobbies, we'll keep coming back. read more
