Vited on August 3rd, 2011 around 3:30pm. Its the bee's knees!!! This growing fast food chain just popped up in Downtown Chicago this summer, but I always dread traffic and that keeps me at bay. So when I saw the sign for Chick Fil A on the way to Indianapolis, and despite being on a time crunch I pulled off from the expressway to see what the fuzz was all about. I first ran into the bathroom and was greeted by a ncie billboard cutout of a cow advocating for us to eat chicken for breakfast. I may consider that from now on. Anyway, as we ordered, the employee was nice and not pushy, she stated I'll help you whenever you are ready." How sweet and genuine...not lik other fast food joints that are trying to rush you. We ordered the Regular and Spicy Chicken Sandwiches- no sides and ate them on route. Both sandwiches were individually housed in a heat insulated bags and labeled on the outside. Both sandwiches were equally delicious, warm, tender, juicy and flavorful....mmmmmmm. My only desires is that I could have one closer to me and that the amp the crispy factor. Job well done. Chik fil a in Lafayette, IN stands out for two reasons. First, the fried chicken is great tasting for a legitimate restaurant and outstanding when you consider it is a fast food chain. Second, the service is outstanding! They treat you like they actually want you to be there, which can throw off the typical fast food connoisseur. Fresh brewed ice tea and fresh lemonade offer the opporunity to enjoy a delicious Arnold Palmer with your meal. Waffle fries seem to consistently lack crispness and expect to spend 25% more than you would at other fast food chains. read more

Been here dozens of times over the years and always experience the same great experience! Food is incredible! Service is terrific! Sometimes you have to wait a few minutes for your food but it's totally OK, in my opinion because I'm never served anything but piping hot food! That's worth it to me. Staff is great. Obviously fake friendliness going on but I'd rather have that than the morons who work at every other fast food joint and act like I'm always inconveniencing them by just asking for some food. I'd take a fake, "my pleasure," response than nothing at all by the competition. This Chick-fil-a does the All-you-can-eat nugget nights every week. What a value if you are really hungry! They will bring ALL of your food to you! You never have to get up! Just don't go too much or you will pack on the pounds. Trust me! Chick-fil-a blows all the other fast food places out of the water in terms of service and quality of food. It's just a shame the corporate owners believe what they believe. But, it's not like Chick-fil-a is the only company that gives money towards something I disagree with. If that were the case there would be very few places to purchase something from. read more

As I read through some of the reviews, I want to say that Chick Fil A has always been owned by christians. It is a wonderful place to eat with kinds people who should be allowed to have their beliefs just like you. The food here is wonderful, and the kids love the playground. They now have a service for moms who go and order at the drive thru, then they take the kids in and sit down. The employees will bring the food to you, and you dont have to fight with your kids in a long line waiting to order. I love this place, and always will. I just read a story on facebook about a family whose dad just came back from overseas, and they were meeting up with a group of friends at Chick Fil A. A friend called up ahead of time because it was going to be about fifteen people. When they got to their local Chick Fil A they not only had reserved a seating are for the group, but the manager came up and said he was paying for everyone in the groups meal. I have never heard of a place that pays for everyones meal. read more

Not one star because the food was still good but this place is nasty dirty. Every seat had some sort of old food crusted on the side, the high chairs were gross and the booster seats were disgusting. The bathroom didn't get any better - only one stall actually latched and I didn't really want to lay my changing pad on the diaper station. Will not be back. read more

Stopped by this Chick-fil-A as I was passing through on a long haul trip. The drive thru line was very long but moved quickly. The employees were very professional and the food was accurate and hot. I wish more fast food franchises could be as good. read more

The parking lot is dangerous and the entrance does not have adequate signage. Save the aggravation and wasted time and go to Mc D's.

I come here every week and they have consistently messed up my order the last few months. The window keeps forgetting to give me my sauces and napkins that I specifically ask for. I have complained but management still has not fixed the issue. Don't give me free food just put my sauces I ask for in the bag. It's a simple request. Doubt I'll keep coming back now... read more

This restaurant location is world class. My wife and i stopped here to try the free Spicy Chicken Sandwich, only to discover that it was a free meal and not just a sandwich. Just before leaving, we refilled our drinks at the counter and the employee that was helping us also gave us a bag to put our extra fries in (that we couldn't eat as it was too much food for us). We also happened to discover while in the restaurant, a torrential downpour had started outside and our umbrella was in the car. Another employee volunteered to escort us out to our vehicle so we could stay as dry as possible. If not for the fact we live in Tennessee, we would come back much sooner. read more

Politics aside, I'll give this place an honest review as it is in my neighborhood and was my go-to fast food place for the first couple of years around here. That was when you would always see the owner in here working 24/7... I had to finally stop going a couple of years ago as the high cost, small servings, noise and inconsistent quality evolved into the norm. Even my friends that would always want to go there when they drove up for games started asking to go other places. Oh, and I always wondered if they intentionally overstuffed the bags so that your food would fall out and a new friend that works at a CFA in another state said that is a running joke that they do in all of the locations where they even brag about/compete to overfill the most. I definitely don't miss hearing "my pleasure" over and over from people that don't seem to be too happy slopping around dead chicken guts, either. read more

So this is 5 stars for the food and unexpected attentive drive-thru. The price of the food is high & I haven't eaten inside so I can't judge that atmosphere. I always get a salad and they're better than salads at restaurants like Chilis, Applebee's, or even Panera. The chicken is always juicy and hot, the dressing is fantastic(the Avacado Lime Ranch is the best), and the portion is good. I think a good Cobb is tricky, because I like the bacon & chicken warm enough to warm the cheese and loosen the dressing, but the tomatoes and lettuce chilled, and this place gets it right every time. Also, the drive thru staff remind me of the morning Starbucks baristas--unexpectedly energetic and friendly, except it's all times of the day and week here. They're not always fast, but I get the feeling they don't have these things sitting in a warmer (yeah McDs, I'm talking about you). I will say I almost always get grilled chicken, and if it takes longer than a minute I start to hear the drive thru attendant start to prick the grill line; normally the salad comes with a breast sliced, but they'll start to push it and tell them "grilled nuggets or sliced breasts, let's get this going". At other fast food joints, if the cooks are slow the attendants use that time to... chew gum? Buff their...nails? (Another McD reference here). The workers somehow seem to generally want to work, it's like they found all of Lafayette's OCDs and gave them a to-do list they can check off all day! The only downer for me that keeps this place an occasional rather than staple is the price-Cobb salad plus medium drink is $10.50! And the size of the drink is normal, which isn't bad but now you've got all these fast food joints offering the XL ice tea for $1 and it's half that size for $2. Great food, seriously--a treat. read more

Would have eaten here if we could figure out how to get in. They need a sign by the street you have to turn on to get in. Yikes.

good clean version of a fast food restaurant with a fantastic taste!!! staff is friendly. they have a play place for children, but it is made with kids around the ages of 3-8 in mind. they have a fantastic idea of having an "all you can eat nugget night" on saturdays (which is my favorite idea for this restaurant). food can take some time though. not a long time, but slightly longer than most fast food restaurants, however, it is definitely worth the wait. read more

My friend and I decided to stop at the Chick-Fil-A in Lafayette, IN on our way to Chicago from Cincinnati. What we experienced was arguably the most enjoyable fast food dining experience of our lives. Upon entering this very busy location we were promptly greeted with a smile and a welcome from the attentive and articulate cashier - two characteristics lacking at most establishments. Our order was served to us incredibly quickly - before our drink cups were even filled - and the food was fresh, hot, and delicious. Already impressed by the level of service we received - that being kind, courteous, and timely service - my friend and I were blown away when a staff person walking through the restaurant noticed our cups were nearly empty and offered to get us refills. When she returned with our refilled drinks, she again took the time to notice that we had completed our meals and offered to dispose of our trash and trays for us. We were literally speechless. The store was clean, well kept, and obviously well run. Kudos to the owner, manager. read more

Used to LOVE Chick-Fil-A, but something's gone weird with the chicken nuggets. They're not as good as they used to be. The service is still the BEST I have ever experienced. And I mean that! Everyone is welcoming, friendly, and happy to serve. Big smiles everywhere. The staff should do a roadshow and show everyone else how it's done. KUDOS! ... now what's wrong with the nuggets? =( read more
