We order online and have our order delivered to the parking lot. Tonight, my husband was served a chicken-free chicken sandwich. He didn't discover the discrepancy until a few minutes after the restaurant closed and there was no answer to the phone the many times I called before 10:15 PM. Perhaps, even when the restaurant is closed, if only for a short time, (just in case of a ridiculous, embarrassing screw-up like this), the phones could be answered when people push the 6 button requiring immediate action. Alternatively, perhaps a part-time or late arriving worker should be responsible for that task. Another though: Could the person packing the order not notice a particularly lightweight box? Seriously? Neither the cook NOR the person packing the bag noticed a sandwich weighing one-third what it should? I understand wanting to get home from work quickly as well as anyone. I was also a restaurant employee, both server and supervisor for many years at a hotel owned by the Peabody Hotel Group. Every day we had approximately half the staff we needed, so, far better than anyone at ChickFilA could ever dream of, I needed to be relieved after eight hours. It NEVER happened. I expect horrible fast-food service in Memphis from every other chain which is why ChickFilA gets every one of our fast-food dollars. We expect excellence. ChickFilA offers it. Do better. read more

I go to the Summer Ave Chick-fil-A regularly and the service is almost always great and the rare occasion where something was wrong, they always have been very gracious and made it right quickly. Staff and managers are all friendly and do a great job of being customer focused. Food is very consistent, and again the rare occasion something was not quite right they immediately took care of it. Hello, I arrived there at 8:56 PM and the doors were already locked on the door. It clearly says dining room is closed at 9 o'clock and my order was not taken until I had to get back into my car and I went through the drive-through the manager, Eric and another co-manager, maybe Jessica politely greeted me at the window because I was a red flag. I also counted seven people being there so there's no way you guys are understand and the dining room is already closed. I work in hospitality. Not really sure why this location doesn't have a 5 star rating! The chain as a whole service is always top tier! I was greeted with a big smile on a gloomy day! I quickly placed my order, paid and pulled around. After receiving my order the swift transaction ended with a "my pleasure!" I enjoy visiting the Summer Ave. location. The cashiers are always so pleasant and they greet you upon entry as well. HUGE win for me. The food is always hot and generally doesn't take long whether drive-thru or inside. I've also sat and eaten inside on a few occasions. Hard to believe but a bad experience. Cashier input order incorrectly. Didn't read it back so received what we didn't order. Ok everyone is struggling to find help and train them. Rookie error. BUT the food didn't taste fresh but like it had been sitting awhile. This was at 11:45 lunch so were they preparing for the rush by precooking and using FIFO. Disappointing. read more

I ordered a kids meal and a regular meal and when we received the meal through the drive thru, it only had the regular meal. My bf went in with the bag to show that we still needed the kids meal. There were two employees going back in forth on if we needed the nuggets or not. One employee said "no, it's fine, they'll be fine". While the other was wondering why she wasn't giving my bf the nuggets. I only received the fruit on the kids meal and that was it???? Like hello I paid for a kids meal not just the fruit. A normal business would give you the food if you show them that they didn't receive the item. I understand that fast food has mess ups sometimes because I work in fast food but for that one employee to just not hand it over and said id be "fine"...screw you. My daughter sent order to the wrong location right at the time breakfast was to end. My phone had just died and he took the time to call her and get our order. I placed an order using the mobile app which included two gallons of DIET lemonade. However the two gallons that were delivered were REGULAR lemonade. I immediately & repeatedly called the restaurant, but no answer. I now had to go to CFA to exchange the regular lemonade for the diet lemonade I ordered. The response of the manager, director, and today the director's boss simply blew my mind. It is the antithesis of what one expects from CFA. Instead of apologizing for the error and giving me a gift card for $15 - the delivery fee I paid but had to still come in to the store - they repeatedly LIED, pointing the finger at Doordash. They blamed the delivery guy for not checking the order before picking it up. So the delivery folks have to UNSEAL the tape on the order bag to ensure the accuracy of the order? Of course not! What the are responsible for is checking the order #, to ensure they are picking up the correct order, but not to check for the accuracy of the items ordered as the three managers/directors claimed should have happened. They refused to accept responsibility for providing regular lemonade instead of the diet lemonade I ordered (TWO GALLONS). This was NOT a Doordash error. This was a CFA error. Doordash did NOT fill the empty gallons with regular lemonade instead of diet lemonade, the CFA employee did. The right answer is to accept responsibility for the error made by CFA instead of accusing another of making it and hence being responsible for it. This is how leadership is trained? i wanted to share my experience with the store operator, Matt Pruitt, whose photo is on the wall but there is no way to reach him. Could they not have asked me for my contact info to give to the operator to reach me? Chick-fil-A's founder would be mortified that store management doesn't know customer service / business 101. You screwed up, apologize, and make it right. Instead, all they did was point fingers never once apologizing for my wasted deliver fee since I had to come to the store to get the correct lemonade nor compensated for the fee by providing a gift card or refund of the $15 delivery fee. How shortsighted. For a measly $15, they have lost a customer for life and gotten a black eye to their reputation, specifically this store on Summer Ave in Memphis. I should have kept in mind that at the end of the day, they were fast food employees for a reason - and will most likely always be. Zero integrity, personal responsibility, or common sense.
