Sorry to say... I love Chick-fil-A It's been one of my go to fast food restaurants since it's come to Kansas City and this location near Oak Park mall is always on point. The employees are as kind as ever and even when it looks crowded the inside lines move fast (I can't speak on the drive through). I've never had to wait longer than 10 minutes to receive my order and the food is always fresh. I also love that chick-fil-A has been banging out the limited release sandwiches recently, it's a nice switch up from a classic spicy chicken sandwich or cool wrap (my usual orders on the regular menu) Most recently my mom and I went in to try the jalapeno ranch chicken sandwich and we both enjoyed it but, be sure you ask for sauce packets because it doesn't come with the sauce already on the sandwich you have to dress it yourself. They also now have waffle chips (these debuted when the pretzel cheddar club sandwich was the limited release) it's nice to have a side option that's easier to take home with you if you don't want to eat it right then and there. The chick-fil-A sauce flavored ones don't necessarily match the taste of the epic chick-fil-A sauce in liquid form but, they do have tangy notes of bbq and a slight taste of honey mustard. It's unique to have a fast food restaurant put out a version of bagged chips! But, the best thing about Chick-fil-A will always be the sauce (and the quality of chicken) there are so many fun sauces to choose from, the OG chick-fil-A sauce is a must, the sriracha one is always something I order but, a tried and true combo is combining the buffalo with honey packets, little known about is their honey roasted barbecue but it's delicious! read more

We brought our grandkids to this location for lunch and to play on the play place indoors. The service was nice from all the workers that we interacted with. Our food came out quickly and my grandkids loved their chicken nuggets, they weren't thrilled with the waffle fries but because they are use to regular fries. I have celiac so I had their grilled chicken bacon cheese sandwich on a gluten free bun and waffle fries and unsweetened ice tea. The sandwich was fine but the bun was gritty. The fries were great as well as the dipping sauces. My husband's chicken tenders and sandwich was very good he said. The play place was smaller but the kids liked it. The trash needed to be emptied in the women's bathroom but other wise the restaurant was clean. It was quiet for the amount of traffic. read more

This is probably the worst operated chic fil a in the Johnson county area. I was in the drive-thru for 18 minutes!!!! Other chic fil a's in the area have many staff members working even outside when it's nice out to get the large amount of cars through. This place seems a bit more run down and just slow as can be. I normally have a good experience with Chick-fil-A and it's my go to for good healthy quick food. But today was not that kind of experience. My Market Salad was awful. You can't keep those salads premade for days. The lettuce was rusty, strawberries were mushy, and the chicken tasted just awful. I was so disappointed when I got back to my desk and that is the kind of salad that was waiting for me. Please do a better job of making sure your salads are fresh for your customers. read more

This is a nice location and staff are always quick and efficient. During busy times, the drive thru and parking lot gets a little crazy. I do like that this location has the updated drive thru (with the two lanes). The line moves quickly, even when it is very busy so I have never had to wait long. read more

This is probably my favorite chick-fil-a location, despite the horrible configuration of the parking lot / exit area (lots of one way streets and you have to make several u-turns if you want to get back out southbound on Quivira). I made an online order for breakfast. I ordered at 10:20 and arrived at 10:31 and when I went inside to pick up my order the lady told me since it was after 10:30 they cancelled my order and threw it out since I arrived after 10:30. Half of what I ordered weren't even specifically breakfast items they were things you can order throughout the day and she said I should've got here a minute earlier and I would have gotten it. Why couldn't they have just set my order on the pickup table and let me pick it up even though it was after 10:30? I thought Chik-Fil-A was supposed to be the nice fast food restaurant. read more

Our family doesn't eat out much, but when we do, Chick-fil-A is always near the very top of the shortlist on possibilities due to it's combination of great food, amazing service, the play areas and kid-friendly atmosphere, and it's huge selection of sauces! Okay, maybe that last one is really just for me, because I DO love my sauces. And CFA does sauces better than just about anyone. And that leads me to my only gripe about this location: where is the saucebar? I love the locations that have a counter across from the order counter that have all the different sauces and utensils available for the taking. Yes, yes...I know that the packets of heavenly goodness reside just under the order counter and are free for the asking, but I don't like having to ask for them. Why? Because I'm a liberal sauce consumer, and I feel like a degenerate having to ask for more than the two the order-takers seem to want to offer. I can barely choke down my tender, spicy chicken sandwich and perfectly-crisp fries with less than five! That silliness aside, the help at this location has always been above even the chain's normally-high bar. On our last visit, one of our offspring obtained a boo-boo inside the play equipment that ended up being a deep-enough gouge to draw blood, and one of the lovely staff who help bus tables went far above and beyond her normal call of duty in chasing down first aid and an extra ice cream to earn back the smile. read more

This Chick-fil-A is on top of it's game! I hadn't been to this franchise in over 2 years because there are so many great food options in Kansas City. But after my experience today, I will visiting more frequently. What made my experience so great? First, I went during the lunch rush hour and I still got my food quickly. The food was great, easily my favorite fast food I've decided. Second, they really made an effort to thank their customers. They had an employee visit each table asking about how everything was, and left a couple of mints to freshen our breath after the meal. Third, they came table to table giving out free samples of their peach milk shake. I'm a sucker for peach milkshakes so this really got me excited. I left wondering why I haven't visited more often. I hope all are treated as well as I was today. But if not, the food is still worth the visit if you need a quick bite. read more

So, one summer I had to take a bunch of classes to stay on track for graduation. Two of those classes were at JCCC, which had its own Chick-fil-A on campus, which is affiliated with this one. Chick-fil-A is proof that fast food doesn't have to be disgusting. Their restaurants are always clean, and they strive to cook their food in healthy oil. I also really enjoy the fact that they close on Sundays. Even if you don't believe in a 7th day of rest as mandated by God, you can at least accept the common sense of work-life balance and understand it doesn't just apply to individuals, but to businesses too. Chick-fil-A is a chain restaurant so chances are if you're familiar with the food then you'll enjoy this restaurant. What stood out to me about this location was how clean the restaurant was and how polite the staff was. The restaurant was sparkling, the sauce and condiment rack was straight and neat and counter spotless. I was about three or four steps into the restaurant and I was greeted by two employees, not in a pushy way, but a friendly way. This Chick-fil-A happens to be right next to Oak Park Mall. I have been to many CFA restaurants in many different states. The staff here are rude and the restaurant is disorganized. My breakfast sandwich was made wrong and I brought it back, not one staff member apologized. They grabbed it and took it in back. Even team lead came up to see why I was at the counter and I told her, and she walked away. The mobile order line is in the corner of the restaurant where the patrons wait for their beverages/ice cream. How can stuff recognize mobile order customers?? I was thinking about it, and since I started eating cleaner last year, this is pretty much the only fast food I do anymore (besides Burger King, I wish I knew how to quit you). Spicy chicken sandwich is the best, spicy chicken biscuit is the best, chick'n minis own, waffle fries own, service owns.
