My daughter and I just made it here at 9:30 pm to order a wrap combo along with and extra fries & a drink. Of course, we didn't notice until we got home that they forgot to give us the wrap!! So I raced back to get the wrap (mind u I live in Carmel Mountain).. Made it there by 9:50 pm before they closed. Well, Valerie who was our cashier apologized for her mistake but she didn't even offer us a free meal for next time. We politely asked for her manager so we can get compensated for her mistake. Instantly, she offered us another wrap for our inconvenience. Well, that manager never came out to speak to us.... Valerie was just relaying to the manager what we were asking for. Finally, Valerie just said here we can give u another fries... After all that, Valerie apologized and said "we can't do that - store policy". Its super rude for the manager to not even come out to apologize or even try to make us feel like they are truly sorry. I've never had to deal with such rude customer service - the point is you made the error and should own up to it!! I expected more from the Chick Fil A brand!! This place is the absolute pits! I come here for kids and always the order is wrong. I top, recently I drove all the way back from Tierrasanta because of an incorrect order. I caught a girl with glasses and red hair walking out with a name tag reading "training manager"... didn't remember the name, I explain the meal is wrong and she asks for the food back ( that she just throws in the trash instead of offering it to me for the inconvenience) I show her it's wrong and give her the drink that the receipt says "sweet tea" instead getting regular tea. The lady throws a fit telling me the order is right, and me, not going to dig it out of the trash can she threw it in says I want the meal remade because I drove 25 minutes back here to get the order right for my kid. She thus says she cannot replace it because it is right, but how can I even get the meal back from the trash she threw my $16 order away in? She thus says she can only replace my drink. Well, I'm now waiting on a manager or a refund because i am livid over this "KID". She doesn't seem to understand how much gas costs or that your customer is explaining the issue and didn't get a correct order that you trashed and didn't hand back to me nor did you make me a hot order. I've been a fan of Chick-fil-A in general for years, and this particular link in the chain is a truly exceptional venue! The service here is everything you could ever ask of a fast-food restaurant; the staffers are both friendly and efficient :-) As for the food, the salads, chicken and shakes here are all delicious, and their hash browns are rapidly becoming one of my favorite breakfast items. This is the worst Chick-fil-A location. The only reason why I still come here is because my son likes to have Chick-fil-A after his swim practice that is down the street. If he wasn't starving I'd make him wait to go to the one in Escondido. They've messed up my order multiple times. It's like they keep hiring new people who don't know what they're doing. I always do mobile orders because I can just pull up to the drive thru and say I'm here. Well they somehow charged my card an hour before I even arrived. So one of the drive thru people accidentally picked my name. When I arrived there the employee was arguing with me about how I didn't make an order like I was incompetent and unsure of what I'm talking about. I was literally showing him my app. Address of the location, my food and it literally says go to the window. Instead of calling to the front like he should have been trained to do he continued to tell me how he doesn't have the order on his screen. He finally called to the front and they knew exactly who I was because they messed up. All of that though and they still messed up my food. I got the cob salad but I subbed the corn for the black beans and corn instead. Well it's not a Cobb it's the Santa Fe. Which isn't a big deal but they could have easily read the ticket properly. I give the experience a 3, due to either not unlocking their chairs for people to sit (as the sign says - see picture), or update their signage (take it down, or "sorry, currently CA COVID Reg states no available seating"). The roads were closed for the annual parade, yet you wouldn't know by looking at all of the cars in the lot and the amount of people inside. Today, I put Chick-fil-A's customer service to the test. I got some scraps on my hand after hiking nearby and a Chick-fil-A employee got me some disinfect wipe, antibiotic cream, and a bandaid. They were very friendly about it. Customer service is 5/5 Oh and the food was good too. As usual. I got the spicy chicken deluxe sandwich and ate it with the chick-fil-A sauce. I chose to dine in and was informed at the counter that my order would take 6+ minutes to prepare. No problem, they have plenty of cars going through the drive-thru at 10am on a Thursday. While I was waiting two customers came inside the store to ask why making their food was taking so long, apparently they had been parked after getting to the pick-up window. Something isn't right about this location's food. 90% of the time, the nuggets are gross. They will have a thick coating of dark caramelized breading and look like they've been cooked in old oil, or handled incorrectly. The fries also seem to be cooked in old oil or something most of the time. This shouldn't even be possible because all Chick-fil-a's across the country should be the exact same. I find myself having to drive to the Carmel Mtn Rd location when the Poway location is 1 minute from me. I love Chick-fil-a. I'm from the South, so sweet tea is my thing. But I find myself disgusted by this location's nuggets and fries to the point I end up having to throw half of them away after biting into them. Why would a Chick-fil-a nugget be dark and oily on the inside? Improper handling, or very old oil. Carmel Mtn's location is run like a well oiled machine, their food is perfect, every single time. While this location is handing out melted cookies in the bag with hot foods, causing them to appear raw. Something has to change. People who know Chick-fil-a food know this location is doing something majorly wrong. My friends had ordered online, and when we told her this she said "did you?" with attitude. She was very rude and refused service to me, who couldn't order online because my apply pay didn't work.
