This place is somewhat of a quandary. I think they do chicken well, but the company's positions on gay employees and their resistance to a living wage make She Who Must Be Obeyed refuse to eat here. The food is standard Chick-fil-a fare, and they support ordering from their smartphone app, which is *highly* recommended. There aren't a lot of places to eat in Purcellville, and this place is jammed at lunch and during evening rush -- wait times can be very long. If you use their smartphone app, they bring it out to you and you're gone. (take note, McDonalds -- this app is what yours should be). They can be a little scatterbrained, but hey, they employ high school students and that's expected. They've recently revamped the breakfast menu, which is an improvement. They had the good sense not to mess with lunch/dinner, though. Overall, a fair quality meal if you can avoid the high-traffic times of day. read more

I love Chick-fil-A! It's usually my go to when I need something quick to eat in Purcellville. Here lately though, I've been using the mobile ap to pick up my food. My orders have been wrong the last 3 times I've gone. The last two times, I went back inside to get my correct order, and the staff has always been super professional and friendly, also always correcting my order and even refunded me once. I'm visiting my daughter who just had a baby. I stop by and walk on side to place my order. I frequent Chic-fil-A, in NC and they are great, so expect the same standard. I watched the crew go about their jobs, there are probably 20 youth in there working. My food was late getting to me. All that to the side, my problem was, the guys working couldn't keep the hands out of their hair, rubbing their hair, touching their hair, running their finger through their hair. Okay so it's a Chick FilA and has the usual delicious chicken fare. This place is clean and well run like almost all of them. Lots of people working to get you out quick. Only complaint is the parking lot is terrible to get in and out of when its crowded and the drive thru spills out into the shopping center parking lot. My review reflects the slow drive thru service and the poor attitude of management which clearly trickles down. If you're in any kind of hurry, don't go through the drive thru. I'm pretty sure I could've parked, gone inside to order and eat, and then left in the time it took to get through the drive thru. It took so long, I said something at the window which is not my usual style. There was a young girl working the window and a manager (assuming different color pin striped shirt). When I commented on how slow the drive thru, the manager ignored it but I knew she heard it by the expression that crossed her face. It was uncomfortably quiet and then the young girl at the window apologized and said something about low staffing. I thought how unfortunate that the manager, Brenda I believe, didn't step in... First of all, this review is not about the food. If you go to Chic Fil A, you know what you're getting: amazing food! This review is about the service: So slow, this location is not fast food, just...food...that you have to wait for in your car longer than you would at a sit down restaurant. Now, I'd like to think that dastardly slow service could be due to their recent opening, but I know they had a transition team in place - for weeks - to ensure smooth operations. I'd also like to think that any food establishment can hit a snag once, but when you average 25 minutes in the drive through - at non-peak times - over multiple visits, that's a problem. I mean, we even went inside during two visits because surely the line of 18 cars would take longer than the line inside at the counter of...just me. Wrong. To top it off, this location once ran out of biscuits. BISCUITS! At Chic Fil A! I don't even want to know how. But I think I do: Management. See, Dan Kathy knows what he's doing: he has an exceptional business model in place. Efficient, delicious, and community-based. And many of the high school workers (whom I know personally) are intelligent, creative problem-solvers. To top it off, the owner clearly knows his way around budgeting and operations. That leaves poor management to screw up a spoon-fed, tried and true formula for how to run a decent Chic Fil A. Disappointing. We'll be patrons in Leesburg from here on out, regardless of the drive. Yay it opened! First time we went it was a bit slow, but it was crazy busy!! Everyone was working hard. The food was great. Went there several more times, each time service was better and faster! Last night it was like a well oiled machine, congrats! I think it took 7 minutes to get through the drive through at 6 pm on a Saturday night. We had the chick-fil-a sandwiches, yummy, steamy fresh chicken goodness. While the food and service are what you'd expect from Chick-fil-a the layout of the location could have been thought out a little better as it is cramped into a corner, somewhat confusing at first and gets very busy. Normally I really enjoy my meal at Chick-fil-A. I did the drive-through today and was very disappointed. I got the chicken tender meal and apparently they ran out of tenders and substituted a couple of nuggets for the tender. I was shorted on my chicken. Secondly when I got to the window to pay the person at the window was very rushed, practically shoved my money and food at me. He seemed inconvenienced when I asked for extra sauce. This Chick-fil-A is the worst one I have been to so far. They never get the orders right and today was the last straw. Not only was their hashbrowns pathetic today (6 pieces and 3 3/4 chewed pieces) but the worst part was when I went to drink my hot coffee they didn't have the courtesy to even secure the lid on tight so hot coffee spilled all over me. This is not the first time I have been there where the lids to our drinks were not secured properly. I will start driving the extra 15 miles to the one in Leesburg for now on. This is a great Chick-fil-a. I happened to stop in during December and they had a whole section reserved for activities for kids. This chick-fil-a's service has gotten slower and slower as time has gone on since its opening a 3 weeks ago. Not so much during the day, but especially during the night. I know it has just opened, but during the night when there are a lot of people there, there are only high schoolers on shift who are super inexperienced and not on top of anything. I've been here about 7 times and the staff cannot handle long lines. Takes about 40 minutes to get "fast food." I would have gone to a sit down restaurant if I wanted it to take this long. The trainers need to come back. I really hope they step it up soon cause the location is awesome and there are a ton of people who love that there is finally a chick-fil-a in Purcellville. read more

Third time order has been incorrect. This coupled with long wait times and no response from management despite having sent a message to management directly. Sorry guys courtesy does not make up for all the inconsistencies. I gave 5 stars 3 days ago despite the order being incorrect as stated in my review. I will not dine here again I have to wait 15min in the drive through only to wait longer to fix the issue. Friendly staff being poorly managed. What a great buisness model going down the drain.
