Always a good experience here. The drive thru has never screwed up my order. Then again, it's a pretty simple menu. The inside is always clean. This place gets CRAZY at lunch, but they get folks through the line quickly. And, like any Chik fil a, the staff is ALWAYS courteous. Two reasons this didn't get 5 stars - the parking here isn't that great. Not that there aren't enough spots; it's just hard to get out of sometimes because of the layout. The other reason is that they don't enforce the "no food or beverage" policy in the kids play area. I don't need to see used straws or napkins in an area where my kids are authorized to play. I also see families eating and drinking in there all the time with restaurant employees literally talking to patrons - and not enforcing this policy. Overall - good chain and good restaurant. So my chic fil a app crashed and my breakfast order got messed up when trying to change my pickup method from drive-thru to curbside since the line was long, breakfast was just ending and my order was for breakfast, by the time i got to the front of the line to tell them what happened they were beyond understanding and went out of their way to get my order for me when they weren't even serving it anymore. I usually have no problems at Chick-fil-A, but was quite annoyed at the Reston one. It was such a disappointment. First they forgot to add the drink that came with it at the drive through pick up, when we asked for it, they handed us the drinks without straws, then we asked for straws and when I tasted it on the way home, they had messed up two of our drinks (substituting a lemonade and something for coke and sweat tea). I love Chickfila. I love the sandwiches, the waffle fries, the nuggets, the milkshakes, the lemonade, all the sauce choices. Heck, I even love the crushed ice they use! It just seems I crave it most on Sundays when they're closed. I used to go here all the time, but now after the remodel they've got me thinking I'll rarely if ever go back. They've cramped the food ordering area and now a single line extends out the front door which is terrible for people coming in the main side entrance. Before there was access to several order lines whether coming in the front door or the main side double doors. Now there's one feeder line that runs up a walk way out the front single door, so if you walk in the side double doors you have to walk in a highly congested area to reach the back of the line and will likely be standing outside or somewhere in between with the front door wedged open as the line is pushed out it. Whoever designed the plan for this remodel should never design an interior for a fast food establishment again, they took this Chic-fil-A several giant leaps in the wrong direction. One would expect enhancements, but this new designs hampers customer flow and is just a bad design. It also looks crappy where they eliminated customer seating and sealed it off but did not fill in the windows with brick, so there are two very large bay windows that have black all over them, where before one was able to see in the windows from outside the establishment. I walked in, took a look and turned around and walked right back out. In those moments I asked a few people I saw coming in and leaving if they'd eaten here previously and all that said yes, and also every single person agreed they ruined the customer dining experience. I heard a lady on the phone outside telling whoever she was talking too "Don't come here it's a disaster, they ruined the restaurant". I could not have agreed more, they ruined this restaurant. I get that Reston mom's used to bring their kids to the play area and stay there for hours, which is why management wanted the play area removed. However you should not have cut down the original seating area and shrunk the food ordering area. To close for 2+ months and deliver this sorry excuse for an upgrade back to your customers will only hurt your business. I won't be surprised if this Chic-fil-A only declines moving forward, I think it's best days are behind them unless they go through another remodel to fix all these issues they made for themselves. read more

As some have already mentioned, STAY AWAY during peak lunch hours! In all honesty, I'm not much of a chicken sandwich eater, but I still love this place! I order their nuggets, wraps or salads. The guy who took our order told us to have a seat and he would bring our order to us, even asking what condiments and utensils we wanted. He even brought us a disposable mat for our tot. I love chick-fil-a but this one is awful, inconsistent, and a rip-off. I have given this location so many chances due to its central location, but now I'd rather go out of my way to get better quality food. The food always tastes old and stale compared to all other locations. Today they were closed due to a power outage, somehow, there were no outage events. A couple of weeks ago, their ice cream machine was down for a multiple days, so no milkshakes or frosted drinks. Their parfaits are always half filled so there's a huge empty void in a clear container as compared to all other locations that fill it to the brim. Breakfast tastes like it's leftover from food prepped the day before. I have never been so disappointed by a CFA location as I have been with this one. This location is an embarrassment to the CFA franchise. I will not be returning to this location. IF YOU WANT TO CONTINUALLY BE LET DOWN, COME TO THIS LOCATION. Good service typical with a Chick-fil-a. Cashier was careful with our order (7 people in our party) and got everything correct the first time. As always, they ordered to help us to our table. My family waited eagerly for the redesign to be completed because we loved coming to this Chick-fil-A several times a week. Excitement tuned to horror when we walked into the updated restaurant. The kids playground is gone. Seating space seems to have been cut in half. Tiny tables have replaced most of the booths and are crammed next to each other. Apparently the kitchen was doubled in size to accommodate the drive through where apparently most of their profits come from. Chick-fil-A obviously has no obligation to families - profit is the goal of course - but we are still sad to be giving up our weekly trips here. I am a regular at this location, very friendly and well trained staff. I usually come here for lunch and although they can be extremely busy, the line moves rather fast. Manager or one of the staff walks around to greet, clean after customers and ask if anything else is needed and if so they will get and bring it over to the table. Big fan! Always a crowd at lunch time but they move everyone through very quickly. And I mean...the chicken and waffle fries can't be beat. The only issue is that the Drive-Thru setup isn't the best, as it can be tough to get in and out. Gave this location a second chance a month after the reopening and they failed miserably, again. 19 minutes to get through the drive through at 7 PM. This location was a mess before renovations; now it is a total disaster. Previously, the service was slow and unappreciative given how long customers would wait in the drive through and it looks like nothing has changed. Twenty minutes to get through a fast food establishment's drive through line is absurd and unacceptable; however, it appears it will continue to be the norm at this facility. This place has never been run appropriately and it shows that refurbishing the interior and adding a second drive through lane for ordering is useless unless they address their operational deficiencies. The Fair Oaks location is newer and consistently quicker. In the end this location makes fast food inconvenient. read more

(This review is for this Chik Fil A) I don't usually complain. Afraid of bad karma. Plus, I work in Customer Service and I know what it's like. And I really like Chik Fil A. But when I called in an order, I even asked if we should wait for an hour before picking it up. I was told 20 minutes was fine. When my colleague went to pick it up, the order was not even put in. She waited for the order, which made her 30 minutes late for work. When I called to complain, they gave us free meals. I called the next day to inquire about the free meal and the person on the line asking "how may I serve you?" was very rude about it as though the whole thing was about hustling for the free meal. This place gets super BUSY for lunch. The drive-thru is multiple cars deep, and it may take too long to go through. The inside is not much better, especially now that school is out. Even so, this location continues on the consistency I have come to expect from Chick-Fil-A. The service is friendly. The dining room is client. The bathroom smells fresh.
