I have never been to a Chick-Fil-A before and didn't get understand all the hype that their arrival in the Bay Area generated. Having gone once now, I guess it's fair to say that Chick-Fil-A is kind of like the chicken equivalent to In-N-Out, at least in the sense of high quality fast food. But whereas the thought, smell and taste of In-N-Out generates the Homer Simpson-like eyes rolled back gurgle face, I just can't get as excited about a chicken sandwich. And don't get me wrong, the spicy chicken sandwich that Chick-Fil-A dishes out *is* a really good sandwich. The sweet Polynesian sauce makes a nice counterpoint to the nice amount of heat in the chicken. I was considerably less enthralled with the cross-cut fries, though. They were limp and not very well seasoned, especially when compared to the version Carls Jr. makes. Service is what really sets Chick-Fil-A apart from every other fast food restaurant, including In-N-Out. The staff are super friendly and the manager does a great job ensuring customers are enjoying their experience. This, combined with the very comfortable and nicely decorated space, lead to a pleasant dining experience. I deduct one star (really, half star) for the horrible parking lot situation. It is very challenging get out and back onto El Camino, especially starting midday. read more

They forgot my sandwich! I decided to do the drive through and ordered 2 spicy chicken sandwich with waffle fries. I come home, and I"m missing one sandwich! I was furious! Who does that?! I come back and request to speak to the manager. The manager was kind enough to promptly brought me my sandwich with another side of fries. It kinda made sense because by the time I got home the original fries I ordered would have been cold. This act moved it from a 1 star review to 3 stars. The spicy chicken sandwich was good and I was given many different flavors of sauce to try. While it's pretty close to my house, the parking situation is terrible. Getting out onto El Camino is difficult because there's usually a line of cars which means only 1 car can turn and then you have to wait a few minutes. read more

I love going to Chick-Fil-A! I don't care what anyone says, this place is scrumptious and you'll always here "My pleasure" after being helped or served. Even though their sandwiches are on the small side, I really don't care, since I buy two sandwiches and one large fries. Their milkshakes are really good too, along with their frozen lemonade! There are ample sauces to choose from, and I don't mind asking for one of each, or even two of each! The drive thru does take awhile, but as the same time, their drive thru is faster than In n Outs. I am a fan of Chick Fil A. Their food is good the people are friendly so it sucks giving this place 1 star. This is a fairly new location being a few months old but this place is a mess. They completely forgot my order and was kept being told that they were filling orders that came in before mine. After 20 minutes and seeing multiple people after me get their food I finally called shenanigans. After asking them about this, they quickly threw my order together. I even got them to comp me a ice cream cone (after asking). However this experience has thrown me off after being used to consistently good service from their other locations (I've been to San Jose, Vacaville, and various SoCal). It's still new so I'll see how they are after they work out some of the kinks. read more

I'm so glad they opened up in Sunnyvale! I'm not much of a red meat or burger person so when I heard about This place I knew it was for me! I like the simplicity of their menu. When you have too many items it's hard to choose. I know exactly what I want to order each time. Their food is made fresh and their employees are super nice! Using their drive through is pretty fast too! My son loves their sandwiches as well so he's always excited to come here and grab a shake with it! Their chicken is always freshly made!! I've tried their "nuggets" and I'm not too much of a fan. They are really small bites and you don't get that much for the cost. It's cheaper to get a sandwich. I came here on a busy Monday afternoon for the first time! I'm not really all that impressed to tell you the truth. The place itself is very clean and stuff, but the food Is mediocre. Nothing special really. The chicken sandwiches are not that big in size and it's very plain. The lemonade drink is a bit too sour for my taste, even though it's freshly made. The fries were okay, nothing spectacular. Oh and I need to mention that their combo here is more expensive then any other fast food joint I've been to where the food is just simple and too plain. I probably visit this Chik Fil A more than I'll admit. I have an obsession with this chain, me being from the South and all (you can take a girl outta' the South but you can't take the South outta' the girl). I typically get the same thing every single time: spicy chik fil a sandwich and waffle fries with buffalo sauce. Years ago I would also order the cookies and cream milkshake but I realized it was getting a bit too much :D Chik Fil A will always be my go to fast food restaurant and I'm so glad we have it here in California (I don't know what I would do without it). Seriously so sad that there's only a VERY select few Chick-Fil-A's in the Bay Area! So it's no wonder that every single time we come to this location it is PACKED. We love Chick-Fil-A though, so of course once every couple months we make the 30 minute drive from Redwood City to Sunnyvale to eat here, lol. Every time we come here the experience is a good one. I'm most surprised at the employee's who despite the crazy amount of customers and long lines, are able to keep a calm and pleasant demeanor about them. Recently we decided to take a spontaneous drive out there not realizing the time we arrived was 10 minutes until their closing hour. I was intensely surprised to see how busy they were with lines everywhere and yet the gentleman who rang our order seemed in good spirits. The other week we ordered off their catering menu for a 40 piece Chicken Mini dish. We arrived at said time we were to pick up. They have a second line for order pick ups and the employees were attentive, quick, and got us our chicken mini's and got us out in under 5 minutes. Kudos to their system. Chick-fil-A probably has the best fries, it's always my go-to. The customer service is excellent, they're very polite and considerate. I love everything on the menu, only one thing...the soft serve. I saw a customer ordered an ice cream cone the other day, and for some reason I've been craving for it ever since. Today I finally decided to go and try one. The ice cream really tastes like French vanilla with cheap price as well. It was the best decision I've ever made...until I got home. My boyfriend and I have been holding onto our lives by the bathroom since we got home, and it's been 2 hours already. Conclusion is...order anything on the menu, just not the ice cream cones, or else you'll regret. read more

The service was wonderful. The workers were polite and friendly. I ordered my entire family lunch to go. The kids were excited for their favorite Chick-Fill -A. They enjoyed their chicken tenders. Unfortunately we found long piece of hair in our Chicken wraps which we had two orders. I understand hair falls but it was a long piece of hair intertwined in our chicken. Very disappointed. This place is not all great like everyone is making it sound. Not only are their prices ridiculous for what you get but they don't give free refills on drinks, its an additional $1.00 ~ who does that? They are a large chain, there is no reason to charge almost $8 for a combo meal and not give a refill on a measly soda! They barely give you any fries and there is no sauce whatsoever on the sandwich, you have to do it yourself. Thanks for the pickle Chick-Fil-A can I get a little more, thanks! I'd like to start off by getting the good stuff out of the way... Free Wi-FI (using it to write this review), the staff were friendly and professional, and they gave me a military discount. Now the not so great... Extremely long wait times during lunch hours. I've eaten at plenty of Chick-Fil-A's in Tampa during lunch hours and somehow they managed to serve food in a timely manner. The food was also Meh*. The chicken wasn't crispy and the waffle fries were Meh* I'm not doing this to tell you to stay away.... Excellent sandwich , one of the best around- almost all their sauces are superb and go well with the sandwich and fries. The spicy chicken sandwich is the best and can get hot. The waffle fries are excellent as well. Only a few times we found the chicken was not very fresh and a bit chewy but 8 out of 10 times it's been excellent. The drive way and parking space are very limited and that's the only reason I'd take a star off. Always a pain on Friday's and Saturday's because of long lines waiting to enter the parking and the driveway for the to go section. read more

As a big fan of Chick-Fil-A and regular patron of the San Jose location, I have tried to eat here three times since they have been open. The past two times, I went for breakfast. There were no lines and only a couple of cars in the drive thru. The good: the restaurant is clean and the food is good. The bad: the service is abysmal. I ordered the same breakfast biscuit the past two times and both times it took between 12 - 15 minutes to be served. If I order the same thing at the 53 Headquarters Dr, San Jose, CA location, I get my order within 1 to 3 minutes. At this restaurant, they seem to prioritize their drive-thru customers and the dine in customers are left to suffer long wait times. They are way overstaffed in the front of the restaurant, but no food is coming out the window. No one seems to be smiling and although they were very apologetic, they don't seemed to be trained the same way as at the San Jose location. Condiments for coffee are only found in one place and are unreachable if other people are standing in line. No one seems to be expediting food and it seems to sit in the window for a very long time. This is a very good location for me, but next time I'll spend an extra 10 minutes and go to the San Jose location. read more

I love Chick-fil-A and it's rare to see one in California :D Their original chicken sandwich is amazing and the waffle fries are delicious. I came here with a friend who has never tried Chick-fil-A before. They ended up giving him a coupon for his next visit for free breakfast. Service was quick and friendly. Milkshakes here are yummy and I like to mix the unsweetened tea with the lemonade (yay Arnold Palmer!). This location also has a play area for kids. Although this Chick-fil-a is a bit far for me to come regularly, I'm glad to see this here in the South Bay. read more

My friend kept raving about Chick-Fil-A so I was convinced to came by. All along I thought this place was a chicken and waffles place, and had no idea it was a "higher class Wendy's." Of our party of three, each got the spicy chicken sandwich. Tasted much cleaner and healthier than MickD's and etc. Not bad. Chicken filet was tender and juicy and doesn't taste old and frozen. Also got two peach milk shakes (good but I'm not really a fan of shakes.) I think the peach flavor is their signature so I recommend it. Altogether, our meal was about $40. The difference between CFA and other fast food joints is, they provide service and staff circling around to assist in the customers' needs. Once you order, you sit. They bring the food to you. They do the refills. They clean up. etc. Pretty cool and different I suppose. For the price, I would much rather enjoy an authentic burger. Don't get me wrong, the food was good. But as good as a fast-food burger gets, it's still not $9 good per burger. Or sandwich whatever they call it. Maybe it's just not for me. But I still give it three stars. read more

This location is like the red headed stepchild of the Chick Fil A in San Jose on First St. I don't know what it is, but I'm always getting soggy fries, disgustingly tart lemonade and a shrunken version of a chicken sandwich that First St sells, weird! The kids they have working too aren't too keen on customer service, or even common sense at times, so it makes visiting an awesome restaurant just an aggravating experience. After messing up my order a few times in the drive-thru in the last few visits I had there while still living in Sunnyvale, they offered me a free milkshake for the misunderstanding, so they earned themselves one more star. 2 stars for them, but 1 at best. Well, since this is fast food/ fast casual (depending on your view point) there's not too much to review, and I don't have high expectations, Spicy chicken sandwich - good, recommend if you want something fried and spicy. It comes with a bun and pickles, nothing else. Club sandwich (?) - it comes with bacon, grilled chicken, cheese, tomatoes. This was pretty bland and dry. I think I can get over it being bland, but it was really dry and I can't get over that. I wouldn't recommend getting this. Fries - you can't hate fried potatoes can you? Unless you just hate fried foods. Sometimes it's too salty and sometimes it's fried too long and it's dry and burnt. If it was fried to golden brown and not too salty I think it's great! read more

This is a fairly new Chik Fil A establishment which I'm happy since its in the neighborhood. The food was fresh and made to order. However the reason why I took a star off was because the fries seemed undercooked. They could have been crispier. Overall the staff was extremely friendly and polite and the place is very clean. I have been going to this Chick fil a for a little while now, and every single time they seem to never disappoint. I mean, they don't over exceed expectations either, but its Chick fil a, and its always sooooo good! However, this is one of the only Chick fil a's in the area, so this place is always packed. The workers on register are always fast and efficient though, so the lines dies quickly during anytime you do decide to come. Seating is one of the downsides to the mass amounts of people that come in daily, because all seats are usually filled when they are busy. But once you find a seat its a pleasant experience to dine in here. For drive throughs, the line is always super long, but they usually do have a person standing out there taking orders to speed up the process. Finally, I'd say the one major downside about this Chick fil a doesn't have to do with the food, but with the PARKING. This Chick fil a has a super small parking lot, and since there are always so many people trying to come in, it creates chaos. So much so that they usually have a worker directing traffic in their parking lot. The mass amount of people trying to get into this small parking lot creates massive backup on El Camino in the right lane all the time, which is a problem they are going to have to solve. Get. The. Biscuit. Obviously only during breakfast hours, but there is seriously something about that soft fluffy biscuit. Sorry, but the ones at McDs and others are too oily and dry/chalky/crumbly. This is just moist and fluffy. On a weekday lunch rush, orders come out surprisingly pretty quick. You'll spend more time finding parking or getting out of the lot than waiting for your food to be ready. I tried ordering off the secret menu, but they don't allow it (or was it only b/c that was during weekday lunch rush?) Also, texas petes hot sauce. YUM spicy. read more

I'm going to start this by saying the food here is the same as most fast food places. It can be great, or could be a little better..... But that's just the nature of fast food. Want something done perfect every time spend more time/money and go to a restaurant. The one thing that blows me away about this location is the staff. I manage customer service teams, and what I witnessed today was a great show of patience and excellent customer service. Well all know the trolls that frequent fast food places, and just because you're their often doesn't mean you can treat the staff like they're your personal slaves. These employees have just as much right to be treated like a human being as the "troll" did. But this staff did exactly what they should have done...... "Sorry about that sir," "I'll get you another, sir" "I'm sorry sir, the prices are not set by us, and the prices have not gone up since you were here yesterday." CHICK FIL A! CHICK FIL A! I love Chick Fil A. I love them all. This is a Chick Fil A so, of course, the food is amazing. My only gripe about this particular location is the tiny, minuscule parking lot. There is never any parking during the lunch hour. I strongly prefer to go in and eat there wherever I go but I am forced to take my food back to work at this location and it's typically cold by the time I get there.
