I've never had a bad experience at chick -fil-a until I visited this location. The customer service is absolutely terrible and management doesn't know how to handle complaints properly. I visited this location at 10:45am today. I ordered my food via the app and selected carry-out. This location has a window that customers walk up to for carry-out orders. I walked up to the window and patiently waited for an employee inside the restaurant to come out and assist me. I was the only customer waiting until another customer walked up and stood next to me. A minute later, an employee walks out and asks the man next to me for his name. He gives her his name and I immediately speak up and tell both of them that I was there first. As the customer and I discuss his rude behavior, the employee grabs the other customer's food and hands it to him instead of asking me what my name was and serving me first. Unbelievable. After I received my food, I walked into the restaurant to speak to the manager Jalen about the incident. Instead of apologizing for the poor customer service I received, he blankly stared at me and proceeded to tell me that he didn't think his employee was trying to be rude. I wasn't asking him for his perception of the incident. There's no way of knowing whether the employee was "trying" to be rude or not and that's beside the point. This was a moment for him to listen and learn about the shortcomings of his staff and the customer service provided by the restaurant he manages and it completely went over his head. He was just as rude as the customer that cut me and the employee who decided to serve him despite knowing that he cut me. He also needs to be trained in how to provide proper customer service. Choosing to defend the other employee was a poor choice to say the least. I'll be avoiding this location from now on and will head over to the Chick-Fil-A on Hawthorne Blvd. They have consistently provided exceptional service and meet my expectations every time. read more

I haven't been to a Chick-Fil-A in a long time. Ordering through the mobile app was very fast and pick up was convenient outside the restaurant. My original sandwich and waffle fries were very good, but I don't like the way the app now limits you to ONE sauce for the sandwich and ONE ketchup for the fries!!! Before you could get at least two sauces per sandwich!! One ketchup for medium sized fries is hardly enough. Cutting corners, apparently. SMH. Torrance Food Crawl #302 I have found the loudest restaurant in Torrance, the Chick-fil-A on Hawthorne across from the Del Amo mall. My hearing is not the best to begin with and this place was crowded and noisy, very noisy. I had to ask the cashier to repeat everything twice. Once I was outside I heard other people outside commenting on how nice it was to be away from all that noise so it wasn't just me. This is the first time I've visited a Chic-fil-A in about 30 years. The last time was in the Manhattan Beach mall back in the late 80s or so when I innocently asked why they were closed on Sundays and got lectured by the cashier that they observed the Christian faith by closing on Sundays. I recognize that that proselytization by the Chick-fil-A worker was not typical and probably not even encouraged by management but the Christian faith has always been a strong ethic within the company and left me with the impression that Christians were very welcome and others just welcome. The years go by and that Christian proselytization I observed then is completely gone. This time I got a Spicy Deluxe Chicken Sandwich, waffle fries, and a chocolate shake. I told the cashier that I was eating there and was given a large square cup. After standing at the pick-up line, and eventually receiving a now cooling sandwich and fries from the server who was trying to find me, I found out that I should have seated myself and waited for them to deliver my food. So I now know that the square cup only serves as an indication that I've ordered a sit-down meal. The Chicken Sandwich was decent. The spice level is about right, not too spicy but with a little bit of heat. By the time I got it it was already cooling down which detracted from the experience. The Waffle Fries also had cooled down. OK but average. The "Hand-Spun Chocolate Milkshake" was very good. I declined whipped cream and a cherry. A little on the sweet side for me, but good. Parking here is problematic. Parking in front is limited but there are more spots in the back. read more

Everywhere I see one of these stores, it seems people are flocking to it. Although Chick-fil-A has decent fast food chicken, I don't understand why this chain in general is so extremely popular. This particular store, while popular like the others, seems to move the line quickly and still keep the tables clean. Located in a small strip mall next to the Seiwa Japanese market, there seems to be a good sized parking lot with available spaces. There is no drive-through. The line inside to order and pay was efficient and we moved through quickly and got a table easily. I noticed a line of people waiting for their takeout orders, but it was off to the side so it did not affect the ordering area. I ordered a three-count Chick-n-Strips meal with a side salad and iced tea, which was over $8. This is kind of expensive for fast food but the taste was decent, like I said. It is not greasy like KFC (although KFC can be yummy and nostalgic for me), and the side salad option is good for trying to be healthier at a fast food place. Counters between the cashiers and the seating area hold napkins, ketchup, straws, and individually wrapped plastic utensils. While waiting, we noticed that very soon after a table was vacated, someone from their crew was wiping it down. I would give 3 stars for the food from this chain in general, which is OK. I gave an extra star for this store's efficiency, cashier's patience explaining the menu to me, and the cleanliness. If you are one of those who must go to a Chick-fil-A and are in the area, I recommend this one. read more

Came to chick Fila for breakfast today (a busy Saturday morning)... arrived five minutes past 10:30 with a line super long... asked if breakfast was still open... I think the cashier might have had a long morning or a rough one but she was kinda rude. She looked at the clock and stared at me stating, breakfast ended. But seeing some extra hasbrowns on the rack and few breakfast sandwiches being made, I remained hopeful and waited in line. Sadly I ended up with the same worker I asked when I came in.... asked her if it's possible to still order breakfast since there were still some hash browns left on the rack and I saw few breakfast sandwiches that were still made. She didn't even hesitate to look back or ask anyone, and replied no. So I persisted and ask about the hash browns and some sandwiches, and without looking back at it she replied "those are for other customers who already ordered" and asked us to order something. I'm usually someone who writes good reviews and I personally love chick fila and still love chick fila none the less... I really love Chick-fil-A...hell, I love chicken! This location is ooookay, but it is a small location and parking can be rather tight, at times. Their lot is shared with Fresh and Easy Market, so lunch time can be an especially trying time. There is parking along the back part of the lot, as well, but again...that parking is shared with some of the neighboring business offices, so it can be full at times. As Efti P. said, it is a great value for the money. The food is very tasty and not swimming in oil, which I appreciate, especially since it's fried. You also don't taste "oil," which is even more appreciated. They have many different sandwiches that come with their signature waffle fries, but you also have the option of choosing a different side. Their lemonade and sweet tea are the bizomb!! Alana M. noted in her review that they are missing a drive-thru...I completely agree with her that it would have been great if they had one, but I can only imagine the madness if they did! They would be just like the one on Hawthorne and 182nd Street, though their drive-thru is impressively organized and they have a two-lane drive-thru location. This location is too small for a drive-thru. I can only hope that once Del Amo Mall is ready across the street, Chick-fil-A moves back over there as a free standing location with a drive-thru. I always order the spicy chicken sandwich and put polynesian sauce on that...freaking bomb! I also order their 12 count chicken nuggets, but I am so happy to also order their grilled nuggets. This is one of the many Chick-Fil-A locations I frequent in the south bay. It is conveniently located accross from Del Amo mall, so whenever I shop at Macy's, I stop by for a bite to eat here. My usual is the grilled chicken delux, with a large original iced coffee. I'm not too big on fries, but they are pretty good here. Their barbeque sauce is a nice plus. Another Chick-fil-a in the South Bay! This Chick-fil-a is right next to Fresh and Easy and just opened this past Thursday. I recently came by and like other brand new Chick-fil-as this place was packed. It was not as packed as the other one recently open but there was still plenty of people. They were fairly organized and directed guests kindly. I didn't even have to wait and my order was taken at the register quite quickly. I ordered one of their hand-spun milkshakes. I got a cookies and cream flavor. (The other flavors are chocolate, strawberry or vanilla). A small costs $3.09 and a large costs $3.55. The milkshake was so cute with lovely whip cream and a cherry on top. It was really good too. There were lots of cookie crumbs inside and you could really taste the yummy ice cream base. It was one sweet treat. As we were exiting, Chick-fil-a, my friend and I were handed coupons for free breakfast meals for the future! Yay! I was also given a cute little cow stuffed animal. Worst service I had to experience with this location today! Picking up a mobile order shouldn't be complicated, quite the opposite, it was meant to be convenient, quick and EASY! Yet after we provided the order number and confirmation email 3 people couldn't figure it out ! What? No drive-thru?? Every free standing Chick-Fil-A should have a drive-thru! I don't really come to eat at Chick-Fil-A, only to get food for the rest of my family. The one item I love is the IceDream Cone or cup. The best tasting soft-serve ice cream there is! My family like the chicken sandwiches. The waffle fries are good. But what makes them better than regular french fries is all the little bits that fall out of the waffled fries and get cooked and become crunchy bits! I like their salads, I've tried at least 2 of them. They are pretty pricey, though! They have a condiment stand where you can freely help yourself to what you want/need, not what the person behind the counter thinks you are entitled to according to your order. After immense hype I decided to try chick fil a this past Saturday. Oh boy was I in for a surprise, it reminded me of in n out from how crowded it was. The food itself was actually really delicious. I tried the spicy deluxe chicken sandwich which really had heat that I enjoyed. The only thing I did not enjoy was their chicken nuggets, I feel that they're extremely small in size for the price. I felt like they were the size of my thumb or smaller when I grabbed one after the other. Also the waffle cut fries are pretty filling and a great size. Dipping sauce selection is amazing, I love their chick fil a sauce and the honey mustard. I would only come back for the sandwiches but not their nuggets. read more

Chick-Fil-A is a great fast food restaurant and is amongst the more popular ones surging in recent years for the chains you see out there expanding. It's a privately owned company, so their quality is fairly consistent. The only pet peeve most folks have is that they don't open on SUNDAYS !!! I think it's a Mormon family values thing. Even the ones in the malls are not open. Too bad, it's a great opportunity to make money, lost, but then again, they seem to be doing fine. This specific location is very customer service oriented. They bring the food to your table, they ask if you want refills on your soft drinks, and even bus your tables and take your trays when it looks like you're done eating too. If you just want a snack, you can get the "KID'S MEAL" which will cost you $3.59 for 4 small chicken nuggets, a nice size sack of waffle cut fries, and a soft drink... and you can even swap the "toy" (usually an educational item) for an Ice Dream Cone... so for under $4 you can get a full meal. Their chicken noodle soup is quite good too, I'd only say... offer a larger size than the 2 sizes available, it's that good. The lids are made to stay on, so be careful when opening it, and know the soup is always scorching hot. The chicken has a sweet batter, which is really unique and good, it makes it taste like the chicken (white meat) is not only moist but marinated. If you buy their "Calendar" at the beginning of the year, you'll get about $20-30 in free food, 1 item per month, that's a good excuse to remind you to go there once in a while. This location can be a pain for parking when it's busy (usually during weekday lunch), but the drive through is organized and fast. Oddly enough, I think Chick-Fil-A has a limited number of locations in Los Angeles, yet the South Bay has 3 of 'em all within a few miles or less of each other. read more

Ordered takeout. Took nearly 30 minutes after I placed my order and the place was at most medium busy. The sandwich was tough, almost rubbery, likely overcooked under a heat-lamp for hours. The fries were just straight nasty, cold, extra greasy and an old dirty grease taste as though they had not cleaned since the last century. I will not be going back to this location. I'm a big fan of chick fil a ever since I was a kid eating their kids meals at the Cerritos mall. I love their moist crispy chicken, crispy waffle cut fries, and all the delicious sauces. Their staff is always friendly and efficient. This location gets really busy as I'm sure most chick fil a locations do but their efficiency is key. They have two lanes in their drive thru and staff waiting to take your orders. I love the deluxe chicken sandwich on a whole wheat bun with no butter. I also love the spicy deluxe chicken sandwich.
