I Hop never disappoints. We have been to so many of them. I love them. We eat there or pick up. Their food is always exactly what you expect. They have great pancakes and make wonderful breakfast dishes. I tried their French Toast and was not a fan, but others may love it. They also have great burgers and sides. The prices are fair and parking is easy. The place is spotless and comfortable. It looks like a lot of other I Hops. The service is great. The entire staff is nice and knows what they are doing. You will love them. They also have a few dinner entrees that we have tried and liked and for the price you can't go wrong. My grandson loves their chicken fingers and pancakes. I normally wouldn't go out of my way to recommend a corporate breakfast chain (especially one that took over the spot of the beloved Seafood Port), but this IHOP is way better than your usual IHOP. They are extra friendly and generous here, and you can tell it's because of great management and even greater staff members who care about the guests. This place was packed on a recent Saturday and I can see why. The staff go above and beyond to get you seated quickly, provide high quality food and big portions, and generous refills. The dining room and building have been completely redone (they even moved the bathrooms entirely from where the Chinese restaurant used to have them), and I love the fun colors and brightness of this place. Pro tip: the AC is extra cold so bring a sweater or light jacket! I don't usually frequent IHOP but I'll be adding this specific location to my regular rotation. read more

It was my first time visiting this IHOP. As many Yelpers have noted before, this is the former location of Seafood Port Chinese Restaurant. I used to frequent Seafood Port before with family and friends (at one point I even became the Yelp Duchess of the place) and so it was quite nostalgic to step back into this spot and see the change. The IHOP Is bright and clean and I could tell they did a lot of work to transform the old mom and pop Chinese restaurant to become this breakfast spot. I came early on Sunday and on Father's Day and I expected it to be quite busy but perhaps because I came a bit early (7:30ish), it wasn't too packed yet. The waiter gave the menus and took our orders right away but I did notice the food orders took a bit despite not having too many customers there. Overall though, the food was worth the small wait. The pancakes which IHOP is known for were soft, fluffy and delicious. I also enjoyed our omelette which we custom made with pork sausage and mushrooms. I also thought that the overall service was friendly and good. I enjoyed visiting this new IHOP and it's nice to have another one in Torrance. Though I do miss the old Seafood Port Chinese restaurant that was at this location, I am glad that another good spot replaced it. read more

This IHOP location is about less than a year old. It replaced Seafood Port previously on Hawthorne Blvd and Torrance Blvd next to the laundry mat and Caps & Cork. Was here with a large group during midweek dinner hours. Manuela, the server was kind and took care of about a dozen or so of us. We were the only diners in and biz picked up eventually. Since I already had pancakes earlier in the day, didn't repeat. Pancakes for dinner were the choice for the majority of my friends. Some chose steak and others chose breakfast entrees with eggs, hash browns, or fries. My dinner was super inexpensive from the basic value menu- a BLT and fries for $7. I also opted for a side of fruit for $3.99. A-OK and the other half of my sandwich was fine at lunch the next day. Parking was plentiful and easy in the shared lot in the large strip mall. It's your typical IHOP/diner. My friends noted how bright the colors are on the ceiling and walls as it's a new IHOP. 3 stars! read more

Have not been to a international House of pancakes in a very long time and this one was just not it I ordered the crêpes and even though they were folded crêpes, they were very bland not what I'm accustomed to. No flavor at all. The host is seemed to rush us. My mom's in her 80s, so please don't rush a senior citizen. I had to ask the hostess several times to please give her a minute and let her see what she wants to order from the menu. When my mom was ready to order, the hostess was standing right there could be a good thing, but I found it as a bad thing because she was hovering so much. The place was basically empty. There was maybe only four other patrons in there. Makes me wonder why when the IHOP in Fontana California stays packed. Well, it was a bite to eat after taking her to her doctors appointment. The food itself was solid, which saved the experience. What threw me off were the small surprise. I asked for brown gravy with my mashed potatoes, which feels like a pretty standard diner request, but they didn't have any. They offered extra white gravy like used for my country fried steak instead. I had the country fried steak, and my boyfriend ordered an omelet. She did the best she could, I could tell this was not her 1st rodeo. I told her she needed roller skates. Apparently, someone didn't show up and they expected her to do it all on her own. So happy for a new location of IHOP to be opening up close to me. They did a great job transforming the location from a Chinese restaurant to IHOP. Everyone I encountered has been super friendly. It was quite busy for lunch on Veterans Day. I ordered the Poblano eggs Benedict and it was delicious. The other dishes in my party was a 55+ platter that had sausage, eggs, bacon, hash browns and a pancake. Sadly the pancake was a little dry, we let the staff know and it was replaced. When it came out, it looked a lot better and it was perfect. Dad ordered a T-bone steak, he chose two sides, french fries and beans. Overall, it's great! This new location of IHOP is now open! They only opened less than a week ago, so the service is still getting its bearings but overall we had a good meal. I haven't been to IHOP in years, and there was plenty to pick from on the menu. I got the poblano omelette with a stack of pancakes and it was very satisfying and quite well presented. The pancakes had the delicious butter well and the omelette was very flavorful (if a bit salty). Service again was still getting its bearings with speed by a but everyone very attentive and friendly. Came here for my daughter's best friends bday! Service was only good when we asked for a different server. I wish I remembered her name but I don't. She was super sweet and bubbly and definitely made the experience better after the first server who was not very nice and little rude with attitude! If it weren't for the next server I would have given this place a 1 star! My friends food had to be made 3 times before she was actually satisfied enough with it. My food was delicious, I ordered the spicy poblano eggs Benedict hash browns and a hot chocolate which I refilled 3 times. Lol. This IHOP is a new location. The service was great, we got seated fast and food came out fast. This was where this location needs improvement. I ordered a spinach and mushroom omelet. The omelet came with a lot of oil coming out of the sides. When I asked if it was supposed to have that much oil, server said yes because of the mushrooms. This is understandable but as I kept cutting into my omelet more and more oil kept squeezing out. It was very off putting and my moms omelet was the same (hers did not have mushrooms). The transformation from the old to now was done very well you would have never expected this being a Chinese restaurant with all the round tables and dimmer lighting around. This one is 24 hours and menu selection is not bad from your breakfast to sandwiches and burgers. I do miss the Rooty Tooty Fresh and fruity meal and the Silver Dollar pancakes. I wish they still had those available on the menu. Service was good and pretty fast our server was nice. Overall it's good to have an IHOP back in Torrance after a few closed down. read more

I ordered eggs Benedict and Waffle. The Waffle was great. The egg Benedict was horrible. The first one they gave me with two well done boiled eggs so they made another plate for me. The second plate of eggs Benedict were all rare with the egg white running all over the plate when I cut the egg. They also put so much sauce on top which made the whole English muffin wet and soggy. It's a new restaurant & the server was obviously new and poorly trained. There was only one other person in the restaurant so I was surprised when all of my food was delivered cold. I hate to return food, because a cook that would serve food like this would probably do something awful to the remade food. Also, the server never checked back, so I couldn't tell him anyway. The first half cup of coffee was good, but then I refilled it with those metal pitchers they use. This isn't the first time I had issues with this IHOP not sure if I'm gonna go back and also I wasn't brought any butter for my pancakes. Went to IHOP on 8/5 for breakfast and was looking forward to it since I was hungry and hadn't been to IHOP in several years. I remember they were a little pricey back then but you got a LOT of food. Here's how it went at the Torrance IHOP, they sat me immediately but under an a/c vent (I should have moved) ordered coffee and food ( pancake combo) coffee carafe held maybe 1 1/2 cups total for $4.39 breakfast arrived after some time. Eggs were under cooked with runny whites ( ordered over medium) small hashbrown portion but the pancakes were the worst I've ever had. They were served on a 6in. plate and were 5in. diameter and just short of burnt and cold wouldn't even melt the butter. The whole meal was more like a child's portion for 17.99 plus $4.39 for coffee and I had to remind them to apply the 10% senior discount which the waitress said she was going to. IHOP is off my list of restaurants. read more

She was the best server we've encountered in years. She reseated us without being asked because she wanted us to be more comfortable. We knew this IHOP was recently opened and gave them some time before bringing the grandkids there for breakfast. They did a nice job renovating the facility which is the best I can say. Service was extremely slow, I think our waiter was overwhelmed. Finally brought my granddaughter OJ very late. Took a while for the food and disappointment with half of it. I sat for more than ten minutes with no menu, while she immediately handed out menus to a group that she seated after me. To make matters worse, the three guys in the booth behind me were watching something on a tablet at full volume with very inappropriate language.
