OMG, Yelpers weren't kidding when they said the drive-thru line is long here!! It was insane, literally went all the way down the entire parking structure, loops and then split into 2 lanes! I've heard it goes fast though but I opted to d/l the app just to avoid the stop and go. Man, I seriously cannot complain about our drive-thru lines in the city/peninsula anymore when I see it 10 cars deep, this by far was at least 4-5 times that amount. Sadly, we don't have a Chick-fil-A near us but it was definitely a nice treat since we were out in Walnut Creek yesterday. We made a pit stop on our way home and their chicken sandwiches and waffle fries were as good as I remembered! Love their sauce selections too, delish! A friend recommended that we get their nuggets too and that was a hit, along with shakes. The Mr. had got a frozen coffee but now prefers ordering a shake after trying mine. We seriously ate like pigs before hoping on the road for the drive home. As I was walking to the pick up window, I noticed a "Family Meal" option that I did not see on my app. I did not see a price for it but maybe that's the reason why people opt for the drive-thru instead of the app? The app may only have a limited menu compared to ordering through a live person? I don't come here often enough to know but I was sure glad we got our food much faster than moving a car length or two if we were in the drive-thru. There is no Chick Fil A in San Francisco so whenever I'm in the surrounding Bay Area and there is one, I've got to swing by. The trend I've noticed is that Chick Fil A is always busy, especially their drive through, and when we arrived around 10:30am for lunch, there was already 10+ cars in the line. As a result, my friends and I opted to try our luck ordering inside. When we got inside, there was only one person ahead of us. We were able to quickly order and were instructed to wait to the side for our food. What was super impressive was that our food was ready for 5 people within 5-7 min! It's crazy busy here during meal times. The drive through usually has a line that goes out the parking lot. Even if you preorder your stuff online, you may wait 5-10 minutes in the waiting area for your food. My suggestion is to preorder your stuff online then 5 minutes prior to arrival, click on the ready for pickup button in the app. Food is good and service is friendly. This is an interesting CFA. The parking lot has signs to tell you which lane is drive thru and which lane to take to exit. It's kind of weird. They have a lot of workers and some are just standing around. The food was good. It wasn't hot and it didn't look too appealing. This wasn't the best CFA experience I've had. The play area was closed. The food came out in shifts. I got my coffee and then another 7 minutes later I received my food because it was just sitting there and someone was looking for the special merchandise I ordered via the app. So my food was completely cold when I received it. I asked for honey via the app and I didn't receive any. I had to go get it. Not my best experience... I really do miss my Fremont CFA! read more

This is the WORST Chick-fil-A I have ever been to. Came on a Saturday night and the place was packed! It seemed very disorganized. A lot of people waiting in the front area for their orders (my picture doesn't do it justice). Mobile app picks running way behind and workers looking miserable. A lot of folks not wearing a mask, even though it states on the door that a mask be worn to be indoors. This place was dirty as well. The drive-thru line was long and the line inside wrapped around the tables and almost to the back door. But I was happy there's a huge parking lot!!! Food: the food is very good! It "never misses" as my nephew puts it! And it hit the spot!!! We ordered their chicken sandwich (plain). But whether you order the deluxe or the plain, just add that chick-fil-A sauce that's all you should need! The tastes is 100 !!! The French fries were fresh! It just has those perfectly crunchy edges!!! Of course they have other things on the menu but that is what stands out for me!!! Staff: they were helpful and energetic. Lately the line is insane here more than ever but it is always worth it! 24hr fitness is next door so the parking lot is insane. I tried to do drive thru and never again. I waited almost 45 minutes. I rather go inside now. The location is clean and the staff is always very nice. They are very friendly and attentive. The spicy chicken sandwich is delicious here! I do have to say it got smaller through time. It used to be big but it is a lot smaller now. It is still very juicy and not oily at all. The nuggets are good as well. Mobile order is the way to go, and to walk up pickup what I had done recently. I had been a lot of times before SIP and only a few times after the stay at home restrictions. The customer service is excellent and the efficiency in getting the orders out is down to a science. The inside portion of this Chick-fil-A deserves 5 stars ... the drive through portion deserves 0. Two completely different worlds. My only complaint about the indoor area is there is always an insane amount of people waiting at the pick up counter and there's no place to stand . Now getting to the drive through.... Girl. The drive through constantly is pouring onto the streets of Walnut Creek. How are they so fast with their service inside but so shit when it comes to the drive through. I went through the drive through and the young man I ordered from was literally shitting bullets. I waited in my car for like 20 mins before finally getting my food in a wet paper bag basically falling apart. Even my drinks were sweating. I'm so disappointed with this location now. Get it together Brent. We got shorted 2 French fries and one large French fry just now. This happens too often. They mix up the specifics to orders. It's an online order, just read it and do it. The accuracy has greatly gone downhill since the start of Covid and this pick up area is all over the place. It feels rushed. Sure the food tastes great for the most part. But the fries are often soggy. Forget ordering a milkshake or ice cream for your kids and expect it to not be melted, they bring that out first and it sits there until your food is ready. The nostalgia is wearing off from my childhood because of how this place has been inconsistent over the last couple of years. And I didn't want to complain but I had to, they're slacking. read more
