My second time here I did my order online, I had a Sunday deal to use. I had parked at the parking garage next to dough zone. It goes 5 stories up. I got there early so just found a spot to just post and sit and scroll. When my pick up time window was near, I went to the pick up area, had some water, and looked if my name was on a bag but didn't see it when it was 2 minutes after my pick up time an employee asked me if I needed assistance. I mentioned I have a pick up order I did online, she looked then looked at the screen after grabbing things setting them in the bag she handed me my order. I noticed later I received a text 3 minutes after my pickup time. They are usually always busy and they have more seats upstairs where the restrooms are. There are street parking if you're lucky or the parking garage I mentioned where the first hour is free. I remember the Sacramento location's fries were still so good when we brought it home from a long drive but the Walnut Creek location didn't give me that feel in taste. I did still enjoy every bit of it as I ate half and ate the leftovers the next day still delicious to eat. Hopefully shake shack comes closer to me soon read more

The irony of bragging on the side of your bag saying you ditched your fine dining tablecloths, but kept the service. I ordered at a kiosk, grabbed a water cup, waited 10 minutes including 5 watching my order sit at the counter. Got fed up just went and grabbed it (no one bothered to yell out my number). Sandwich was super crispy which I liked. Pickled are very solid. Sauce lacked any real flavor, bread is solid. Overall it's a meh sandwich. The place itself feels like a prison more than a restaurant. I'd never want to eat here. Sandwich costs $11 which is far more than a CFA spicy and way less tasty. The place seemed kind of dirty and when I came in around lunch. very few of the tables looked clean. Even the number I picked up after ordering in the kiosk was kind of gross and greasy. The chicken nuggets had too much breading so my daughter didn't like it. The fries and cheese sauce were yummy as always. When Shake Shack's Facebook ads for their Thai iced tea, cherry blossom, and brownie batter hot cocoa shakes popped up on my feed, I was curious. So I went to my local Shake Shack to see if I could snag a limited edition shake and a delicious lunch. The Shake Shack is in a beautiful building. The outside felt industrial, but the inside was quite lofty: two levels, lots of natural sunlight streaming in. Plants provided indoor greenery and people's chatter echoed around the room. I felt very much like I was in a trendy dining commons. I ordered at the kiosk and grabbed a number for the server to find me. I was waiting long enough to scroll through my phone for a bit, and the server eventually brought me my food. A ShackBurger, fries, and cherry blossom shake. I dug into the ShackBurger and was fascinated. Bite by bite, all I could think of was potato bread--so much potato bread in my mouth. I wanted to believe that my ShackBurger tasted as balanced as it looked. The seasoned meat, fresh lettuce, and tender tomatoes tried their very best to make their presence known, but the fluffy, starchy taste of potato bread swept everything away. The fries were delicious. Liberally salted, these fries were daring, crunchy fun to eat. I had to get myself a complimentary glass of water to balance out the saltiness. My cherry blossom shake was interesting. It looked delicious, but the taste of Yoplait's cherry orchard yogurt immediately crossed my mind as I took the first draft. It must have been the shake's sweetness; cherry blossom is supposed to be subtly sweet with floral hints. My shake made me think more of cherry fruits rather than cherry blossoms. Same tree; big difference. Three foods, three tries, three times my lunch just met expectations. Shake Shack is a decent, middle-of-the-road burger spot, and it faces strong competition from the many other burger spots in town. I am not familiar with the area, but have to say that given the fact that I had to search for over 10 minutes to find parking, and ended up dropping my wife off to retrieve her mobile order was flat out ridiculous. She said that the indoor environment was incredibly loud, crammed, and noisy, but that nobody really got in the way of each other. My son wanted to eat lunch at Shake Shack while walking around downtown Walnut Creek. I noticed they have "French Onion Soup" type of burgers now. My son and wife got the French Onion Stack Burger and I got the French Onion Shroom (Portobello) Burger. The Shroom burger consisted of a deep fried portobello mushroom with cheese. When biting into it, you get a satisfying cheese pull. My wife and son like the burger, but the patty can be a little thicker (recommend getting the double or triple patty). We got the Mango Passionade for our drinks which was pleasant. Now they offer the option of adding mini boba to the drink. You place your order through one of their 4 kiosks, not sure if you can order from a person, but I didn't see a way to. You grab a number and your order will be delivered to you. They also text you when your order is ready as well. They have seating downstairs and upstairs. The restroom is upstairs, but they do have an elevator if you have difficulty climbing stairs. We decided to come for lunch today and for once it was not crazy crowded. Parking can be tight but we were able to snag one in the lot. We placed our order at the kiosk for dining in. We got two ShackBurgers with cheese and added pickles, fries, and onion rings We got a booth by the front window towards the street. Hubby found someone to wipe down our table and then we waited for our food to come. Our food was delivered but then we had to go look for napkins and ketchup. I know we could have gotten them before we sat but we did not think about it at the time but it would have been nice if it came with the food though. Our food was great just as expected however it was our first time trying the onion rings and I just have to say I will always be getting them from now on. They have a small parking lot behind the store, but if you can't find parking there, the Olympia Place parking garage is across the street and has free spots. Used their app to order two Shack Burgers and they were ready within a few minutes. The location of the restaurant is good with a small parking lot next to it. But parking is not free, it's metered seven days a week. The place is clean and pleasant. The burgers were perfectly cooked and very tasty. The buns were nice and soft and fresh. Shake Shack is probably my favorite fast food burger. It's a bit on the pricey side for the size of the burger, but these days everything is expensive. This corner restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating and self order Kiosks for convenience. However, the outdoor space did not include heating nor shade covers during our visitation. We embraced the outside ambiance after quickly ordering and then, not too long after, had our meal delivered to our table. The chicken sandwich, burger and nuggets all met our taste expectations. The strawberry shake, not pictured, was very good. Even though this was the case, the nuggets seemed small in size, the fries were good but easily forgotten, and the overall meal seemed to have been unequaled to the price. You get your order by having your name called so definitely use a nickname as some orders get accidentally taken. Shake Shack is definitely the representative burger chain of the East Coast. They have several locations in the Bay Area, but none are convenient to me. When this location in Walnut Creek opened up, I was really excited because I finally got a chance to try them out without the long drive. My friend and I met here for lunch on 05/09/2023. Upon entering at noon, I was surprised by how quiet it was. There were only three or four people eating. The interior was very clean and bright. The dining area spanned over two floors, as well as several tables outside. Ordering was done at a user-friendly tablet kiosk. We ordered a Double ShackBurger with bacon and avocado added, a 'Shroom Burger, 6-count Chicken Bites, an order of fries, and a Black and White shake. The total was about $40. We got out food pretty quickly. Overall, I thought it was just okay. The Double ShackBurger was slightly larger than a Double-Double at In N Out. The burger patties were made with quality beef, but seasoning was lacking. The bun was too soft and not spongy. The chicken nuggets had a nice crunchy coating, but the meat had a somewhat strange mushy texture. The fries were fresh but very ordinary. The shake was the best part of the meal. It was decently thick and creamy. This was the second or third time my friend had eaten here. She said her 'Shroom Burger was just okay. I am glad I finally got a chance to try Shake Shack. In a straight up East Coast vs West Coast comparison, I think In N Out is better, both in terms of quality and value. 3 stars. I'm a huge fan of truffle items so I tried the Black Truffle Shroom and the Black Truffle Parmesan Fries. The shroom itself was very small and seemed to be more cheese than mushroom. Despite the truffle sauce, it was not exactly worth the $11. I ordered for here and nobody brought my food so I had my boyfriend check the counter and it was sitting there. He asked about it, and an employee just said "we're busy" (they brought food out to people after us).
