I used to love Chick Fil A, but I always went to the one near UCI. The fries were underdone and cold. The chicken nuggets were not crispy and were barely warm as well. We ordered and our food came out right away...like not even 30 seconds later (I'd wait a min for them to pop them in the toaster if they could). The food was super salty. I felt like I was eating a fast food restaurant on the same standards as McDonalds. But at least McDonald's would serve their nuggets and fries hotter. I also felt like the workers today were racist. Came in here to redeem a chicken sandwich, chicken nuggets, and medium fruit cup. I asked the cashier how big the fruit cups are and he actually end up going out of his way to get them for me to see. Normally every team member at any CFA establishment is very kind and patient with their guests! Today at 10:10pm the young lady who took my order on the headset was somewhat rude. I get it must be extra stressful working during the pandemic but when I was ordering my boyfriend and I both noticed an irritated tone when I asked for some changes to my sandwich and upsizing drinks. I am disappointed in it! I know how genuine and happy other team members are and how other team members even at their own window was! I participated in the CHOC walk at the Disneyland park Sunday 8/11. I was pleased to see chick fil A had sponsored the event and was generous to print on our wristbands a coupon for a free chicken sandwich at participating locations. I happen to have one across the street from my work office and frequent there for lunch. I walked into this Beach blvd location, first, no one at the cash registers seemed to be familiar with which sandwich could be honored. Then after clarification from manager PATTY, they decided on the original #1 plain crispy sandwich. When I explained I normally order the healthier version Grilled club and would be willing to pay the difference they asked the manager PATTY and she said NO. When I asked to speak to her, to ask if I could at least add the ingredients to the plain sandwich and pay the difference she said NO, the promotion is as is and can not be changed. In my opinion the coupon did not state which exclusive sandwich to order. The drive-through at this location is absolutely horrible. You wait 20 minutes because they do not have proper traffic flow from Beach. People cut the line all of the time and the people who've been waiting for a longer period of time have to wait longer. I spoke into a manager and they say there's nothing they can do about it. My car broke down in the drive thru and the GM and team member both helped push me through. Today decided to go grab some dinner since Chuck-fil-A never disappoints however today was the first... the guy taking our order was friendly, the guy at window wasn't soo much he wasn't friendly and seemed as though we bothered him. No customer service - when we asked him for more sauce. We ordered a 12 piece chicken nuggets that I wish I would have taken a picture of the scraps not even nuggets shaped. I love Chick-fil-a, but this location is very strange customer service-wise. I have a gluten allergy so I typically order a grilled chicken sandwich with a gluten free bun. The contents of the sandwich come assembled without the bun in a small container and the bun is in a separate package to avoid cross contamination. Sometimes, I don't want the bun. I ordered my grilled chicken sandwich without a bun, to which I got a strange look. I was asked multiple times if I wanted it lettuce wrapped, and I said no. I just want the contents of the sandwich in the container without a bun. The manager even had to come clarify, and commented "when you order something out of the ordinary, it throws a wrench in our flow." How was this out of the ordinary? The only request I made was no bun. When I received my food, there was no lettuce. I don't understand why this was so complicated and didn't appreciate being made to feel like I was holding up the kitchen for a simple request. Chick-fil-A is probably my favorite fast food place to get chicken. The chicken is pretty good quality for fast food and everything tastes very fresh. The staff is super nice there and make sure you have everything you need. One of my favorite parts is that their ice maker has really good ice so you can enjoy it after you drink your soda. The only reason this doesn't deserve five stars is because the portions are too small. If you want a lot of food for your price go over to KFC instead of Chick-fil-A but if the larger portions don't matter to you then Chick-fil-A is definitely for you! read more
