My family tried them out at the Sonoma Raceway Event. We were like, "Can't go wrong with tenders and fries". We obviously spoke way too soon. We ordered 4 tenders and garlic Parmesan fries. We waited about 35-40 minutes. We noticed other people returning their food and requesting refund. The cashier was unable to process and refund. Ww decided maybe it's not up to different peoples tastebuds. We got our order and let me tell you - it was OILY. The food had a strong atrocious oil taste that made it unbearable to eat. The fries were soaked in oil. Unsure if this is how it normally tastes or we went at a bad time but we will definitely not come back here. read more

This was one of the food vendors we tried while we were at the Dublin St. Patrick's Day Festival. As one of the most popular stands, it took us ~30 minutes to order and receive our food. They had some of their menu items on display so customers could see what they looked like. Our order: The Irishman ($24.00): St. Patrick's Special +Brioche bun was soft yet held up the fillings. +Cabbage slaw was crisp and tangy. -Corned beef was dry and stringy: Didn't taste "tender, slow cooked" like the menu stated. -Couldn't taste the "Rich Guinness Aioli" Sauced Lobster Roll served with side of coleslaw and kettle chips ($32.00): +Generous portion of fresh, chilled lobster chunks +Roll was nicely toasted and held up the lobster. +Blush sauce wasn't too heavy. +Coleslaw was refreshing and made for a good palate cleanser. -Kettle chips were prepackaged. -Small portion of coleslaw Side notes: 1.) We ate at their stand at the Dublin St. Patrick's Day Festival. They were there last year, but we were unable to try it because the lines were too long. Sure, the ambiance was nice, the farmhouse rustic presentation superb, but how was the food? The Hog sandwich ($21) was basically a little bit of pulled pork with a lot of fresh slaw on a square Artisanal roll, much like the ones found at Costco. Which was good, but not $21 + 18% service charge good, lol! DH really loved this sandwich. The slaw was excellent, a bit cilantro forward, but crunchy and flavorful. There is very little pulled pork in the sandwich though. That's my major gripe. The Farmhouse tenders ($21) 4 pieces was the best bang-for-the buck. It is seriously heavy. Large pieces of juicy chicken breast smothered with delicious sauce. We picked Honey Walnut and it was really good. I wished the pieces were either flattened or a different shape, so the inside gets flavoring too. Classic Lobster Roll ($32) was okay, but like another reviewer said, the lobster was slightly fishy. Bun was soft on the inside and crisp on the outside. We got there really early, so only waited a few minutes for food. They are slow. The total after 18% service charge and Dublin tax was ~$95. We attended the Walnut Creek Art & Wine Festival 2023 last weekend & walked by this humongous food vendor stand. They displayed all of their foods on a huge table specifically marked not for eating. Check out my photos! My advice is to KEEP ON WALKING as they didn't open until 20 minutes late. My wife tried to stand in line much earlier but the gal working there was insistent on telling her don't as they will be 15 minutes late. She was told that along with another customer. Good way to lose customers right? Not a nice way to do business. My only order was the lobster roll for my wife. As I waited for it I observed 5 people before & 1 person after me get their entrees or orders. So I walked up to the tent asking where was my lobster roll??? They said they forgot to make it & will make it now. By the way the price for it was marked 29 but bc of the added 18% gratuity the total came to 36 dollars like wth? Don't give them your business. Went to Order from their food truck for the winters tractor parade. Waited an hour for my food, missed the whole parade. The teenagers working kept saying it would be a few more minutes. Meanwhile they were calling numbers out of order and didn't tell us that they couldn't fulfill ordered from what I assume was a propane hook up issue. Fine if it's out of your control, but let customer know so they don't keep waiting. Got a refund only cause I paid cash. Everything looked so enticing. I tried the Tuscan Hen sandwich. The chicken was a small flat piece, overcooked and dry. The sandwich was to come with a number of ingredients but only had arugula. The bread was thick and dry. The sandwich was very bready and bland. A family member tried the chicken and waffle fries. It was only 3pm and they had run out of waffle fries. They substituted with regular fries. The chicken was a small piece, overcooked and dry. The wait was way too long. The cooks appeared overwhelmed and disorganized. A buzzer is given to customers but were not working. The cooks were yelling out check #'s from the receipts. I went to the Art and Wine festival in Walnut Creek yesterday and walked by their delectable example not sample table and said I'm coming back. I walked around to see if there was anything else that I wanted to eat, and I couldn't find anything. The example not sample table is great marketing and it worked! I end up ordering the blue buffalo wings with the blue cheese dressing, blue cheese crumbles topped with green onions and the garlic parmesan fries and everything was fresh and good! I literally just left google trying to find out where their restaurant was at because I want to go back and get some of those wings!. You've gotta be kidding me! On top of that, we ordered what we thought was a fried chicken entree but no - it was a sandwich similar in size to a Popeyes chicken sandwich and it came with NO SIDES. After fees and taxes, this came out to $27! I'm sorry, but this is a total rip off. This pricing is in the territory of the world famous pastrami sandwich at Katz's Deli in New York! Compared to the best fried chicken I've ever had (Hatties in Saratoga Springs, NY and Les Sisters in Los Angeles), you can get a full-on fried chicken dinner with sides at a sit down restaurant for the same price or less! I had been trying to come here for 3 weeks now and showed up to find them closed the last two times so I really wanted this to knock me out of the park and for this to be my new chicken place because the Bay Area doesn't do it it like SoCal... unfortunately it fell a bit short for the price. It didn't taste salted, let alone like honey habanero. I ordered 4 sauces, and none of them tasted the way I expected them to besides the ranch, in fact I had to check my receipt to see what I had ordered because one was very sweet, and one tasted like bbq sauce despite not ordering bbq sauce. It almost seemed like the menu online didn't reflect their current offerings so they just gave me stuff they had on hand. Garlic Fries were okay but has chunks of raw garlic and matchstick Parmesan cheese which I'm fine with but for $12 for fries, I do look for a bit more than that, also were a bit wet, either from oil or from condensation from take out container. I can't fault them for takeout fries not being as good as they could be though, that isn't necessarily on them. They seem to batter and season their waffle fries though which is a huge win. I would love to recommend them, but for the price and the experience I had today, I unfortunately cannot at this time, but I hope that they can become my go-to chicken restaurant in the future. I am not sure how Chicken and the Farm only has a 3.1 on here because their food and service was immaculate even before receiving an extra order to try the Dirty Bird wings. Whoever rated them so low clearly doesn't know great quality food! Everything is prepared to order so there is a bit of a wait but trust me it's so worth it! The wings came out steaming hot but crispy even with the sauce drenched on them! You can tell they use good chicken as every bite is juicy. It comes out so hot even after letting it sit for a few minutes you still can see the steam coming off it. Everything is seasoned to perfection! The Cajun dry rub they use I wanted to buy to take home it was the perfect blend of a kick with flavor. I am often skeptical of Asian inspired wings as you must mix the flavors well to avoid one overpowering another and those dirty bird wings boy did they understand the assignment all the seasons blended perfectly to make an amazing wing I just can't believe more people aren't talking about them! Now I came for the wings as I am a wing connoisseur and they 100% delivered but they did not stand alone because those lobster fries! Where so rich and flavorful. To be ways from good fresh lobster you couldn't tell me that wasn't fresh lobster on those fries they were so good and they give you so much to ensure you are getting your moneys worth! The sauce that's on top of them brings everything together perfectly! I would highly suggest everyone trying it but definitely share it unless that is the only thing you plan to eat a few bites and I was full. The owners are so nice and welcoming I enjoy talking with owners and just getting a bit of information and they were so open and willing to talk about their business and I love that and you can see they really care about the food they are making and serving to their community. I wish they were in Reno because I'd be a frequent visitor for sure! Unfortunately they don't have a brick and mortar yet! The owners let me know they are working on it and I believe when they get it the line will be out the door because this food is that good! Most places you see that have many options don't do everything right but they 100% do! I didn't have a bad bite. I had the opportunity to try them at Apple hill and it was super busy and they still were getting food out without 15-20 minutes which is always a plus many food trucks prep things to make it easier but everything from what I could tell is made to order and great! While they may be a little pricy it is so worth the price as you will not finish the portion and will have two meals I promise you it's so worth it! Support them and say you tried them before they blow up because when they do it'll be hard to get this amazing food. The cashier didn't even verbally tell us the total, just asked us to swipe our card and absolutely no mention of the gratuity. I'd recommend you get the 14 wing bucket as it's the most cost effective. Just got home from the Bay Area Kids Festival in Concord and we made the mistake of getting food here. The only reason I'm giving them two stars is because the food display in front of their booth is fantastic. Unfortunately that's the highlight of our experience. My wife ordered the lobster roll which was $29 and it came with a bag of chips and a shot glass full of coleslaw. It took her four bites to finish and probably would have take me two. It's easily the smallest lobster roll we've ever seen, probably because it was served on a hot dog bun. I got the pulled pork sandwich for $24 which was pretty tasty and should have cost $15.00. My daughter got the plain fries for $12 which should have cost $6. We also got two sodas for $4 each and if you do the math that comes to $73.00. Somehow our bill was $94 and when I asked how that's possible, they told me they charge a service fee. The food prices aren't listed on the booth display, they don't tell you about the hidden service charge when ordering and we all left hungry. Shame on me for not cancelling our order when they told me the price. $94 for two sandwich's, a small fry and two sodas is crazy. This place has an amazing display of dishes and food they offer however it seems like the food looked better than the taste of it alone. I ordered the chicken and Waffle as a takeout from the food-truck at the Walnut Creek Oktoberfest for 16$ but the price they charged was over 20$ and their reason for that charge was they included a 18.5% service charge and on top of the 9.75% tax I paid. This is the first time I have heard of a service charge for food takeout. But this does not end here. I do not mind paying a little extra for the food at least has some decency in the taste. But unfortunately the food was also very disappointing. The chicken was dry with little to no flavoring. The fries were also on the same scale. I really think they forgot to put enough seasoning on the fries and chicken. It tasted super bland even with the syrup that was poured in with the waffle fries and chicken. Even without the extra service charge I would not come here again. Food here was extremely disappointing. You are better off going to Mcdonalds for some chicken nuggets and fries for almost 4x less than the price here. read more
