Chicken Chick is more of a mom n pop kind of place, a good alternative to something like Chicken Maison (chain). They take a while making the dishes but I think it's cause they make it when you order it. I ended up getting the chicken wrap, it was more of a chicken meat ball wrapped in a baguette. I really enjoyed the dish. It was something different coming from a Mediterranean restaurant. We also tried the Dolma appetizer, which was rice wrapped in grape leaves. This again was good. Also tried the chicken kabob plate. The side only comes with either salad or rice. If you want both, I believe it's a bit of extra. I suggest getting the rice. Best rice ever! I love their food but their customer service needs to improve when they make a mistake. I placed an order for pickup only to find one order missing. I called and told them we had a plate missing and blamed it on miscommunication. I had to drive back during rush hour and pick up the missing order. You would think they would comp me the order but of course they didn't. By the time I returned to eat with my family all the food was cold. Show some ownership and make it right when you make a mistake. I'll rethink ordering take out moving forward. A bit disappointed on this go around. I called an order of shish kabob and an order of spicy chicken. When I got home I opened my wife's and it smelled delicious. I opened mine and realized that I got jacked and the grinch stole my spicy sauce. I put out a "BOLO" be on the lookout for missing spicy sauce. Omg hands down THE BEST MEDITERRANEAN FOOD in the Southbay. I know the location can be a little intimidating sometimes especially with all of the other restaurants in that shopping center but I fully recommend taking the time to order from this place. We both enjoyed it however the pita that came with it was old and very dry! The house made salad vinaigrette for the Juicy Chicken Salad was not great. It's mostly of lemon juice. You're better of on using your own dressing. The salad had way more ice berg lettuce than other greens too! This place is super yummy. The hummus is so fresh and tasty! My hubby says all the meats he has tried are always really tender, moist, and full of flavor. I always get a big fresh greek salad, which is delicious, I do with they had more than one option for dressing. My only complaint is that their one and only salad dressing is slightly bland, and they should offer a bit more pita bread for the size of the hummus in the appetizer. First I'd like to say the portions were HUGE! I couldn't finish the rice and salad. I was so stuffed I had a hard time jumping into my truck to go home. Also, the restaurant has televisions to watch while waiting and has free wi-fi. I had order grilled chicken with rice and salad. I also ordered the Persian eggplant for an appetizer. It was mixed with mint, garlic, and I think wheat. Definitely try it! My entree was delicious too! The chicken was juicy, the rice fluffy, and salad crisp with just the right amount of dressing. If you are in a hurry, this is not the place for you, we were seated right away and then we waited while they took care of walk in customers, we were given 2 small quarters of pita bread each and had to wait about 10 minutes for our order to be taken, after the order was taken we waited about 10 more minutes before we were given water. another 30 minutes of waiting and we were getting up to leave because there had been no interaction with the waitress, since our order was taken, she claimed it was ready and we decided to stay since we had already invested more than 40 minutes of our lunch hour and it was too late to go someplace else. Finally the food arrived and while it tasted good a 40 minute wait for lunch is unacceptable. The only thing saving this place from a one star review was the food. Price is ok and inline with other restaurants of the same type however, a 2 skewer chicken and beef koohbedih at $12.99 comes with only rice or salad as a side, if you want both it's $1.00 more, also humus is a standalone side at $4.99, many other local Mediterranean lunch spots will include the humus and salad for $12.99. The long wait for food, lack of staff interaction with customers, and less value for the dollar makes it highly unlikely we will visit again. read more

Wow, this place is good! I just ordered it for the first time and it's super tasty. I got the Juicy Chicken with the basmati rice, and when they say "Juicy Chicken," they do mean juicy chicken. This is my go-to place for Persian food. They are by far the best tasting place in South Bay. The chicken koobideh is really fresh always made when you order. The staff is very pleasant and location although it is not huge it is nice and cozy. I've recommended a few friends to this restaurant and everyone who has came has enjoyed the food here. I'm definitely a regular at this place now. As a Persian in the South Bay, one of the things I have missed the most since moving from the westside is the lack of good Persian food. Then I randomly stumbled upon Chicken Chick and what a lucky find it was. I refer them to EVERY Persian person I know in the area. (And non-Persians too it's just that us Persians need our fix of kabob every now and then) They have everything a regular Persian restaurant would have and the quality is excellent. Their best dish is the Juicy Chicken - it's chicken breast that is, well, really juicy and tender. All their meat entrees come with rice. We like to upgrade to zereshk polo which is the barberry rice. We have ordered the soltani - which is the ground beef kabob and the steak kabob together. My parents are vegetarian and we have ordered the fessenjoon (which is a veggie stew of walnuts and pomegranates). Everyone has liked everything and so have our friends. One warning - order like an hour before you want your food to arrive. It can sometimes take a while. You can also call in advance and ask that food arrive at a specific time, like if you are having a party or something. We will definitely be ordering from here for years to come. read more

Spicy chicken with basmati rice and side of hummus Tadig with Sabzeh Eggplant appetizer Arrived at 9:30pm and I'm about 10 minutes away. So they really did a B-line to get it here fast and hot. I greatly appreciated that. The food was great. Chicken moist and soft packed with flavor. Basmati rice was nice and fluffy like it should be. Tadig was ok. Not like wow but ok. I agree the take away makes the food steam in the boxes so it kinda made the tadig not so crunchy. But I bet it would be great if it was dine in. Eggplant appetizer had my wife claiming the whole bowl to herself, she loved it. Really good persian food here, only cons in my to go order. I noticed the hot sauce on the side was Vietnamese chili garlic sauce.. and when I took a bite out of the spicy chicken... I found that it was slathered in the Vietnamese chili garlic sauce. I have been to this Persian restaurant few times since early last year and we loved the food. Juicy chicken is amazing. Yes the service was little slow but this has nothing to do the food.
