The food arrived in about 40 minutes when I ordered online. It was about 5 minutes sooner than estimated. Everything was as expected and had good flavor however, the hummus was a little dry and clumpy. I like a nice smooth hummus. Also, they didn't give much pita. The food is very good but always check your order before you pick it up. I ordered 3 different plates and 2 with extra tomatoes. They told me I needed to pay extra for the tomatoes and I was okay with that. My order was in a bag which was tied. When I got home, none of my orders had extra tomatoes and I checked my bill and I was charged $1 per plate for the extra tomatoes. Also, always ask for extra pita breads because they usually won't give you any unless you ask for it. read more

Ordered Tadig with 2 stews, gheymeh and ghormeh sabzi. Then koobideh, 1 skewer of chicken, one of beef... The tadig was a big portion, only plus... But it wasn't crispy to begin with, neither stew had beef/lamb. The gheymeh had cinnamon, which any TRUE Iranian will tell you is NOT Iranian, but a new-age add-on. Chicken koobideh was doable, at best, kind of a funky flavor. The beef koobideh, I could only eat 1 tiny piece of, and I literally stopped chewing midway because texture wise it was bad, flavor wise, it was absolutely terrible. Weird tang to it, smelled like the meat was old... I would stay away. The Iranian restaurants in the area have gone downhill, but Fiesta Grill is open and 100x better. read more

Came here for dinner and ordered the koobideh combination (1 ground beef, 1 ground chicken) with rice. The flavor of the two types of koobideh were delicious and different from one another. They were moist, juicy, fresh and packed with flavor and spices. However, the pita bread was dry and tasted old and was served with butter which I thought was a bit strange. I also felt like something was missing from the dish, so I ordered a side of the cucumber yogurt sauce. It really enhanced the flavors of the dish and I felt that a sauce made everything better. Overall, for the price of the entree and side of sauce being $20 I'm not sure if I'd order the same thing. Maybe I'll try the juicy chicken next time if I come back. read more

All I have to say is if you can try all the food they have! I recently had dinner with a few friends there and man everything was more than great! I loved the yogurt dip! OMG!! So good with pitta bread! Also you can not go home without trying desert so make sure you leave room because you will regret not having the ice cream with pistachios. Rice and saffron was perfectly cooked did I mention saffron! Not like the other places with lack luster plain underpar rice. I also got the falafel appetizer which was yummy the tahini sauce they serve with the dish is out of this world good it taste like it has lime or lemon in it which I loved. I also got cucumber dip which was great on my chicken, and finally the baklava which was great. The quality of the ingredients was superb. Friendly customer service over the phone with placing my order to go, but she failed to tell me that by having half order each of salad and rice with my entree would cost extra. I didn't initially ask for this. The lady over the phone offered this as an option. If she's going to offer this as an option, she needs to inform the customer that this option is added cost! Then, I ordered the French fries, which on the menu stated as "freshly cut potatoes". It was not. It's frozen French fries. YUM! This restaurant continues to serve outstanding food in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Hands down, IMHO the best Persian food in the South Bay area. If you don't want to drive to Westwood, this is the next best thing. It is located in a basic conventional S. CA strip mall but don't judge a book by it's cover, as the saying goes. Once you enter this little piece of heaven, you are consumed by the scents of your Persian grandmother's homemade cooking :) BTW - Grandma is always milling about supervising to make sure all is running smoothly. The recent remodel even makes this place more appealing. Big comfy chairs and glistening floors surround you. I am happy to report that the sometimes unpredictable service has been remedied. They are now fully staffed with plenty of servers and a full kitchen crew, food orders are prepared fast and served promptly with a smile. The Juicy Chicken is the bomb! The Persian Eggplant is outstanding, the Koobideh Combo is perfect and the Lentil Soup is the best I have ever had. Try the Loobia Polo or cherry rice for an extra treat!
