It's good! It's not the bomb, but it's okay. It's in a small plaza next to a small korean market. The spicy marinated chicken is really tasty. I suggest you get that! They give plenty of the white radish to cool down your mouth while eating the fried chicken. It's crunchy and pairs well with the chicken. I would come back to try other items. If you live closer to LA, then there are definitely better places to check out. They have lunch specials starting at $6.99, which isn't too bad. Four tiny drumsticks sauced to your liking, a small scoop of rice, some salad with some Thousand Island-like dressing, a cup of pickled radish, and a drink. Your sauce choices are Sweet and Spicy, Teriyaki, Korean Pepper, or plain. If you don't want Korean fried chicken they sell other items such as gimbap (Korean rolls), donkasu (pork cutlet), ddukbokki (spicy rice cakes with fish cake), and samgyetang (ginseng-chicken soup). Quality of the food can be hit-or-miss. I've had friends order family meals here only to find some unedible pieces in the box. Overly fried. Like the leftover unidentifiable pieces of fried leftovers you find at the bottom of the fryer. Overall, not bad. I love Korean chicken wings and this location of Chicken Day is very convenient. I always get the sweet and spicy (yang yeom) wings but they offer several other flavors. The wings here are always pretty big and the meat is very moist. They don't skimp on the sauce and give an extra tub of pickled radish for free if you ask. I recommend calling ahead to order because it can take 20-30 minutes. Other than chicken, they have a few other things on the menu. Their deokboki (spicy rice cake) and kimmari (fried seaweed roll with glass noodles inside) are also pretty good. read more

This place is located right between the border line of La Cresenta and La Canada. There is no other place like Chicken Day in Northern Mountainous areas including my neighborhood Glendale. I had to try ALL Three flaors: Regular, BBQ and Soy Sauce. Reqular was somewhat like KFC but less oil and less salty. The dipping BBQ sauce was a great addition. AND the sweet & sour korean radish is the best! It refreshes your mouth every other after munching in so much of the chiken meat. BBQ flavor was very sweet and there was that smoky bbq wood flavor to it. I LOVED it~ Soy Sauce is unbelievable. It has this unique soy sauce and garlicky KBBQ flavor, but not exactly Burgoghi or Garbi. Very diffrent. Try also "Gimbob" (Korean style California rolls). For people that are not familiar its Korean Fried chicken which is very popular and known for being crispy, juicy with sauces they give you. This is one of the better spots for Korean style fried chicken in the area and their food is always flavorful. I got it in teriyaki chicken sauce. I liked it because it had good flavor and wasn't drenched in sauce. Chicken Day is the best (albeit the only) option for Korean-style chicken in the LC/surrounding areas. I've been a loyal customer for years and I really think it's a solid option to get my chicken fix without having to drive out to K-town, which is juuust far away enough to be inconvenient. There's the usual offerings of spicy fried chicken and regular fried chicken along with a soy sauce flavor and boneless options. I always get the spicy and soy sauce bone-in chicken and would recommend them if you're looking for a lot of in-your-face flavor. The pickled daikon radish is KEY and I always ask for extra orders because you really do need that refreshing crunch with every bite of chicken to cut the strong flavor. I want to preface this review by saying that I had been patronizing this chicken shop since 2010, even before it changed in the hands of a new owner several years ago. In the last several months, the quality has gone down significantly. The batter used to be crispy and decent but 2 weeks ago and today l, ordered chicken to go and it has been very dissapointing. The batter is not crispy and parts of the chicken were soggy and very oily. I tried to give this place another chance today. I ordered on the phone around 9 pm on a Sunday and asked the lady to make sure the chicken did not come out greasy and to make sure the batter was crispy. When I went to go pick it up, I again told her again that the last time I ordered,it was very greasy and not crispy as usual. She said, i should have called right away so i could get have gotten some sort of credit. Right before I left, she told me that they made sure to give it special attention and to let her know if it tastes better. I went home and it was again very greasy and the chicken was sitting in grease and the bottom parts were soggy and there was no crispy batter. Even the top parts of the chicken were very not crispy. I called the Korean lady/ cashier and asked if the cook changed or they changed the recipe. she said no they didnt. I told her that, again, the chicken was sitting in grease and the batter was not crispy. She then got defensive and said that she never heard that kind of complaint from anyone else. I told her that I already told her and she was the one that told me to call them right away and so I did. I asked her why she even told me to call her if she wasn't goung to remedy it. She then proceeds to tell me that she only meant that I should have called last time when I ordered the chicken and not today. What????? Then she tells me to go back to the store and return the chicken, I told her I was already home and I could not go there. If she wants the chicken, she can pick it up herself. Then she changes her mind and says I cannot return the chicken and she will not refund the money on the chicken. She was very inconsistent and being fickle. She was so rude and never once apologized or tried to remedy the situation. Why woukd she even tell me to call the store about any complaints if she had no intention of helping me. At one point, she hung up on me and when i tried to call her back several times, she kept hanging up on me. She refused to give me the contact info for the owner, manager or anyone else. No complains about service or taste, but they honestly need to do something about the size of their wings. Most of the bad reviews on Yelp mentions something about the small chicken size mainly because of its high price. It never bothered me until my last 2-3 visits. They served us miniatured wings! I was so upset, but I didn't want to cause a scene in front of my kids so I just let it go. They're so small now, even my petite 7 year old daughter was able to eat 10 wings on her own! I used to order 30 wings for my entire family, but during my last visit I need to order 50 because of their tiny size. My kids love Chicken Day! We go there every other week because of their insistence, however from now on they'll be seeing us less and less for sure. I'd rather take my kids elsewhere for that price. They have a very simple menu offering fried chicken and chicken with the special sauces. They also have a kind of ginseng chicken soup. I've tried the fried chicken and the soup. First, the chicken -- it's average. I really wasn't impressed. The white meat fried chicken I've had here is very dry, like they fried all the moisture out of it. It's not at all tasty to me. The fried crust isn't bad, but the meat isn't the way I like it. I prefer KFC to this place, not to mention Popeye's, Louisiana Fried Chicken and Church's Chicken. Basically, I prefer any other place's fried chicken to this place. The ginseng soup was disappointing as well. It's kind of a thick, bland broth. I doubt it has any medical benefits, either.
