This place is pretty good, but not the best I've ever had. It's good for the area, imo. Ordered the chicken skewers plate, which came with rice, salad, and hummus with pita. This new business specializes in baby back ribs and rotisserie chicken. Their combos all come with hummus, pita bread and mediterranean sytle pickles, which indicates thats the background of the joint. The chicken here was pretty good, as was the hummus. They also serve wraps and salads. I hope this place can get off the ground. The location has a spotty history. The current staff is friendly and service there is good. The name says Chicken King, but its much more than chicken. It also says express, but there wasn't nothing express about it. Maybe if you call in your order ahead of time it is, but definitely not when you walk in and order. Short and sweet, the customer service was on point. The dudes behind the counter, Armenian I think, even speak Spanish. They had a Yelp check in offer for a free soft drink if dining in, and they honored it for me and my take out order which I thought was pretty cool. Moving on to the food, the lule kebob was the overall winner amongst us all. Hummus was hit and miss. Me and my daughter liked it, my wife and son thought it was missing something. Personally, I think the portion to price ratio sucks, and I wish there was a little more food on the plate, but the fact that it is freshly made makes it a little easier to swallow. Come on guys, either give one more lule kebob with the combo or make them a little bigger, PLEASE???!!!! My only other complaint is that they don't serve lamb. I asked them why they didn't and for the life of me, I can't remember what their reason was. I haven't had good lamb since I was in Jordan and that would have been nice. Moving on to the beef and chicken kebobs, the kids seemed to enjoy them, but what what everyone enjoyed was the bbq ribs they made. Who knew you'd find some decent ribs at a healthy Mediterranean place? Tender, fall off the bone, a little over sauced, but the were the definite highlight of our entire meal. Overall, not a bad experience, and it does warrant a return trip. I guess the star of the show is supposed to be the rotissiere chicken, so next time we come, we'll have to try that. read more

Was just at a party where they had takeout chicken, ribs, salad, hummus and pita. It was delicious! Large pieces of chicken that has a great rub. The ribs were very tender and the bbq sauce was very tasty. They also had a garlic condiment for the chicken that was spicy but great in small quantities. Definitely recommend. read more

Their chicken kabob wrap is to die for (yes, your garlic breath will be very apparent for a while but it's totally worth it). Ask for the Jaymie or the Audrey salad. Food was stale n not fresh. Tasteless. Person at the restaurant was not at all interested at his job. Food was served on disposable plates. Had to ask even for extra napkins as he just gave 4 napkins for 5 people. Customer service was really bad. Will never recommend this place to anyone. read more

The people here are super nice and the food is really good. I'll order the chicken or ribs for potlucks and family meals for picnic dinners. Even people who don't normally like Mediterranean food like the food here. I think it's the rice pilaf that really sets them apart. The chicken is not as tender as Zankou, but more flavorful. I think they keep the chicken baking to keep it warm after it comes out of the oven because there have been times when I order the whole chicken and it was dry and a bit burned. The plate is a great deal! Eggplant dish: cold dish with various roasted veggies mashed together Shawarma: tasty Baklava: very flaky and the perfect amount of sweetness. Not overly sweet so you can taste the actual flavors of the nuts and spices. Falafel: very well seasoned and great texture. Fatoush chicken salad: very unique dressing that packs a punch of tangy and herbaceous flavor in every bite. The fried pita chips add a nice crunchy texture. Besides the amazing food, another reason to support this family owned business is bc they take pride in the delicious food they make. I was yelping around looking for Mediterranean food an I came across this place. My husband and I decided to try it out, since Zankou is so far from where we live. I called in our order for the whole chicken family meal. That comes with rice, house salad, hummus, two garlic sauce, and a pack of pita bread. We also order a small side of Mac n cheese and a small mash potatoes. It was 8:35pm and they close at 9pm. Boy we were running late it was 9:04pm. I called the restaurant and the same man that took my order answered I told him how I was almost there and he said don't worry about it we will wait for you. It was really hard to spot the place because there was no light around the signage. The first bite I took I was like "Hmm... Hmm... This is good." I couldn't stop eating. This is by far better than Zankou. Will be coming back for more. The people are nice and the food is so so good. read more

The chicken here continues to impress! I recently was planning on having friends over on a blazing hot Sunday. I wasn't going to cook on such a hot day. I knew the perfect solution was to pick three family meals. I was sad that they wouldn't be open on Sunday. Undeterred, I picked up the chicken on Saturday. I gave my guests the option to heat it in the microwave or just have it cold. Most of them opted for the cold because it was so hot outside. Everyone raved about how flavorful and moist the chicken was. It was so good! I will not hesitate to do this again.
