Went here for the first time and ordered the shawarma wrap. The spices with onions were such a refreshing difference from other Middle Eastern places (and I live in Glendale). I really like coming to this place, it's just a great place to come and dine. The ambiance is phenomenal. The place may be small but they do have good customer service. The food tastes good, I like their HUMMUS. Prices are fair and reasonable, not pricy like other places with an unwelcoming taste. Skewers, wraps and the whole chicken is damn deliciously awesome. My husband and I frequently order the roasted chicken family meal. The food is delicious and we have never been disappointed. I don't usually write reviews but because of the excellent service we received on Christmas Eve, I wanted to give them a shout out. We hosted a party for 40 people and decided to go with kebabs meals. The food was fabulous and plentiful, and we were treated so kindly. If I could, I'd give no stars. To start, the price is ridiculous. One beef plate and added a chicken skewer and was charged $23 and some change. Figured at $23 I'd be eating some Mediterranean seasonings that I've never had before...wrong. The food was not even worth $23, I've had better Mediterranean at better prices from different places and this by far is the worst at the price. The hummus was bland and looked like it had been sitting out for hours. The chicken seasoning was underwhelming and the beef was chewy and also lightly seasoned. Just moved to Monrovia and I'm trying to support local businesses, but so far I'm not impressed, with the exception of Pieology so far. For those who love this place, please make a trip to Huntington Beach and go to H.B. Pita Grill, Panini Kabob Grill in Glendale or Mediterranean Pita Grill in Calabasas. I promise you, your taste buds will be overjoyed with amazing Mediterranean flavors that this place just does not offer, especially at the price. read more

The place is pretty clean and the food came out pretty fast. I ordered the beef shawarma here and didn't like it. It's pretty watery and stringy. Not the normal shawarma they slice off from the spit. The hummus and rice sides were okay. I may come back for the chicken but definitely won't be getting this beef shawarma dish again. read more

Good, fresh ingredients. Attention to detail. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Delicious food in a relaxed atmosphere - not a "date" place - something different when you are in the mood for good eats. The falafel plate comes with fantastic pickled beets - a lot of them. And the dolmas have the right spice(s) - maybe it's cloves or nutmeg or something... blends perfectly with the filling. This little whole in the wall has you walking out of there with a smile on your face and their prices are very reasonable for what you get. One star because I had to. I have gone here enough times to like the chicken meals. But 3 particular times were a big fail. First fail I ordered Fattoush salad with chicken and was told by the guy at the cash register "I'm alone and can't make it" Huh? Okay I'll order something else. Next time I ordered fattoush salad with chicken, same guy, not alone, said "we don't make that until after 4:00" Huh?? Again, ordered something else. Went today AT 4:30 and you guessed it.... "We don't make that salad until after 5:00. Too labor intensive" My response was "Why do you have it on your menu without the disclosure of: Do Not Order Because We Won't Make It" Horrible customer service! It's my first time here and it a mexican cooking my food, I don't have a problem with that cause they are usually the best cooks anyways. The Point is I was excited to try this place until I ordered. I asked for the beef kabob plate and substitute the rice for salad and the owner was like an extra 75 cents which is not bad. Likely I bear some onus for my two star rating as I purchased my takeout meal shortly after opening time. This restaurant is likely better later in the day after fresh food has been prepared. I ordered a roasted chicken family meal. The chicken was dry, likely leftovers from the previous days roasting effort. No evidence of freshly roasting chickens. The pita bread was likely leftover as well. Using up the older product is practical I guess. The restaurant business is tough these days. Hard times. I will say that the humus was good as was the garlic sauce/butter. The restaurant was empty. Perhaps hard times?? Perhaps it does a better business later in the day. Anyway, I'm done. Whenever I'm craving Mediterranean in Monrovia, I come here. Their portions are large and their food is consistently GOOD!
