Excellent food. Prefer this place over Zankhou. Whole chix was moist, flavorful and huge! Zankhou uses smaller chix. Went here initially cuz I was craving falafels. Would not recommend as they are too dense and dry. I also ordered tabouli. That didnt appear to be too fresh and we hardly touched it. The pita is also not as good as what zankhou gives u. The best rotisserie chicken on the earth (OK, anyplace I have tried on the earth). Their large, moist, crunchy skinned whole chicken (from the flame rack it cooks on) is marinated to perfection. I really think its 1.5 times the size of most Ralphs / supermarket "pigeons" and much better flavor so don't think they are better deal because they are cheaper. The garlic sauce is killer and the staff is incredibly friendly. Got the King combo and it hit the spot. I really wanted koobideh but I'd never been here before so I wanted a sampler of their lule, beef, and chicken kebabs. The chicken was the standout of the combo, though the garlic sauce played a big part. Don't bother! This place is a dump from the restaurant to the food. Dirty tables and utensils station and no AC so it feels like I'm working in their kitchen. The food portions are ridiculously small and the quality horrendous. I had the king combo and this was smaller than a Flame Broiler bowl in terms of portion size. The chicken was overly orange and you would think loaded with flavor as a result, sorry to disappoint but it was flavorless. Then the beef, most Mediteranean places serve filet mignon this was just chuck overly tenderized. And the Lula! Chicken King Express! I seriously eat at this place 3 - 4 times a week. I work right down the street from them, and Shant one of the owners is the nicest guy on earth. I order in and it's always ready when I get there. I love small businesses like this because they really know how to take care of their customers. For instance Shant gave me a free Beef Kebab plate just to try! The other day he gave me a salad. Perks of supporting local small business. I usually get two skewers of chicken and double salad. All of their meat is cooked over an open flame, the Kebab's being prepared over an open Charcoal BBQ right in front of you. Their meat is amazing. I go here to get a good healthy meal. read more
