Ah, what a great way to end a good day of hiking with some delicious hummus at Chicken Maison. I was in the mood for something outside the realm of burgers or burritos and what a treat it was to eat here. The hummus was on point and the chicken was semi fall off the bone so you know that's just tender out of this world. The serving size will definitely get you full considering for my meal I had received a side salad, hummus, 1/2 a chicken and pita bread. I also heard their mediterranean french fries are fantastic as well so go ahead and get that on the side! Always pleased with the quality and flavor. Recently tried the chicken soup and it was great!! Just what the doctor ordered, not greasy and full of veggies, shredded chicken and rice, my new go to for chicken soup. I love Mediterranean food which my friends and I didn't realize until we saw the menu. And I don't know about you but I am a sucker for grape leaves, pita and hummus, yummmmm. They had me sold. But we ended up with the platter for 38.95 it was lots of food and plenty of meat and veggie kabobs plus 4 large sides.. Only thing disappointing was the lamb kabob, I only try lamb once in a blue moon and I was feeling kinda gutsy but it end up tasting like steak. First, I just want to say that this place is my new favorite! There are insufficient words to,express how impressed I am with their food and the value so far. We ordered the gyro meal which is a huge portion of delicious lamb/beef strips, rice, hummus, salad and pita bread with tzatziki sauce. I'm a pretty big eater, and I've made easily two full meals of this one. We also had both the lentil and chicken soups - both excellent! Lastly, I ordered the spinach chicken salad and I also served three people the next day for lunch! We ordered way too much food not knowing how generous the portions are. And the prices are very reasonable too. Most importantly however is how fresh and healthy all of the menu items seemed to be. Spinach was all crisp and beautiful in color. The chicken obviously freshly cooked and even the dressing was one of the best (I chose the Chinese dressing upon their recommendation). I wish there was a Chicken Maison in San Diego as well as I am only in Palos Verdes during the week. No matter, this will be a regular treat from now on when I'm in town. The reason it took me so long to try was the name. It sounded like something French - but as far as I can tell there is nothing French about the food. Their spicy lemon garlic chicken is outstanding!!!! Also make sure to try their spicy hummus on the pita bread. My wife is a huge fan of their homemade lentil soup & tabouli salad with lemon flavor. Pretty disappointed. Was delivered chicken maison last Tuesday, and it was great; got it again tonight and it was dried out and almost not edible. The baked potatoes were truly awful. How domain ruin a baked potato? I gave it to my dog to finish. I suspect today's items had been sitting around for awhile, as our requested door dash pick up was late afternoon this time instead of early evening. Probably all made for the lunch crowd, and a few hours old. Yuck. The pita and humus and brownie were good, but the main event is the chicken, right? Last week's got an A (though the cabbage in the cole slaw was bitter), and this week's meal was barely a C. What I most value in a restaurant is consistency, so I'm disappointed... read more

This review is solely for take out. I love Chicken Maison for two reasons. Housemade Chicken Soup and Pita Bread + Garlic Sauce. I always order the small soup and I find that that's more than enough for me because it's always stock full of chicken and vegetables. The pita bread is alright but combined with the garlic sauce, yum. And their soup always hits the spot, especially on colder days in the fall and winter. Everything is A+ here... Great food, great service, great value. My father and I usually do the $5.50 chicken plate that isn't on the menu. It's a salad, small rice, and 1/4 chicken. Cesar salad with rice is good too. It's expensive but I can only eat 3/4s of it and I am a big eater. read more

Love this place! It's fast, simple, and so good! I always get a 1/2 spicy lemon garlic chicken with greek coleslaw and hummus. Always have enough for 2 meals!
