We've been loyal customers of Chicken Maison--especially this location on PCH--for over a decade. This review isn't about the food, which we've clearly enjoyed for years. It's a warning to other patrons, especially those with senior family members, to be vigilant and not fall victim to unethical behavior by staff. Recently, my senior mother went in to pick up a to-go meal. She's used to tapping her card to pay and was having some trouble with the payment process. A younger male staff member who as taking her order offered to assist. Instead of simply helping, he took it upon himself to press the 10% tip option and hit accept--without her permission. When she questioned him, visibly upset, he brushed it off by saying, "It's customary to give 10%, and it was only $4." That's not only presumptuous--it's completely inappropriate and, frankly, fraudulent. Rather than apologizing or attempting to make things right, he made a dismissive, under-his-breath comment. Another staff member eventually processed a refund, but by that point, my mother was so upset she chose to leave without her meal. No apology was offered. We're deeply disappointed by this experience. It's disheartening to see staff take advantage of elderly customers under the guise of "custom." Tipping is a choice, not something to be forced--especially not like this. If you visit, please be cautious and watch out for your senior loved ones. This kind of behavior is unacceptable. read more

I've never been to chicken maison! I was greeted by a very peppy happy but oh so professional I Individual named Mike! He was was running around seeming to be doing everyone's job. This is fast food. I ordered the salmon medi plate with falafel and hummus. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the falafel and hummus were good. The dish comes with rice and that wasn't very good. Also the hibiscus juice tastes watered down. I would come back and try a gyro wrap next time. read more

The service is great. We had the Greek salad and it looked beautiful, just simply so colorful and well served. They gave us pita bread and tzatziki sauce along with it. The tzatziki is excellent but the salad dressing left much to be desired. We felt the salad was missing flavor. But the staff is friendly and service is fast. read more

Everything is perfect here. Beef is great, wonderfully cooked, chicken is moist & always the right portion size. Veggies are super fresh & grilled well, never burnt. Portions are huge. Pitas are only downside, pretty dry. read more

We ordered Steak and Chicken Kanob Combination with sides of Rice and Spicy Hummus which comes with pita bread and garlic sauce which is a perfect compliment A little stingy with portions. Greek Salad was ok it lacked flavor. The Falafel Plate was good. The Brownies are ok a little dry, Baklava was not tasty at all, skip it. Nice location make sure you order and pick up at the correct location as they have several. Been here several times and service is hit-and-miss it depends on who helps you. Will be back. I have fond memories of Chicken Maison from back in the day when I lived around here and I'm thrilled to see that nothing has changed in a good way! The food is just as good as I remember it. The chicken is perfectly seasoned and moist. The pita is warm and soft. The sides are tasty and generous portions. If you're hungry, I'd recommend getting at least the 1/2 chicken plate. The garlic sauce is on point. Customer service was excellent. I was immediately greeted upon entering, the young lady at the cash register was friendly and professional, and my food came out within 5 mins fresh and hot. Plenty of parking spots in the lot. Always 5 stars for Chicken Maison. They have the BEST salad money can buy in the Maison Special Salad. Get it with that lemon dressing and boom. It's a treat. Good go-to spot for rotisserie chickens, available in quarter, half and whole with mixes of light and dark meat available. The kabobs are good. The sides are good, especially the spicy hummus and the steamed veggies. The only notable weak spot is the pita bread is usually cold and sometimes a bit soggy. I know it's the steam from the chicken that does it, but if they got the pita out hot and fresh....wow this place would be 6-star worthy. read more

This review is for the Chicken Maison at 3901 PCH in Torrance CA. I ordered a whole chicken with two sides, and also a chicken kabob with two sides. Both are supposed to come with pita bread, but when I got the order home - NO pita bread! Whether that was intentional to save money, or somebody forgot to do their job, the result is the same: disappointment and PO'ed customers. 2 stars off. It tastes homemade, like something you'd actually get from your grandma when you're sick or just need something warm and filling.
