In case you were wondering about the signage at Chicken Maison this week, they mean "only firefighters and EMTS" so no doctors or nurses FYI. I saw the signage after I'd ordered, paid and was awaiting my order. I casually asked whom they meant when they said "first responders" and I found her answer to be worth sharing in case anyone else chances upon the same signage this week and is curious to know the same. Much like myself, I'm sure no other doctor or nurse or formerly known first responder is going to care or be bothered enough to refute this but way to give us a curt little reminder of the ever changing hierarchy on chicken Marion's totem pole of relevance. I absolutely love this place for their rotisserie chicken. I usually get the lemon basil or spicy garlic quarter pieces with two sides and it leaves me more than content. However, I've recently been trying a few different items just to see what else they have to offer. I ordered the chicken kebab for lunch and was excited by how delicious this was even though the approach was different than the rotisserie chicken. The staff is always super nice and the interior is really clean whenever I visit. I've been to multiple locations of this restaurant and each one maintains the same flavor and freshness. I also really enjoy their fries. They're very crispy and thin and well seasoned. Of everything that I've tried here. My least favorite item is the Mandarin salad mainly because the chicken is cold and the mandarin slices can be a bit overwhelming. I highly recommend this if you're looking for a fresh and delicious approach to rotisserie chicken. You will not be disappointed. read more

We've been loyal customers of Chicken Maison--especially this location on PCH--for over a decade. This review isn't about the food, which we've clearly enjoyed for years. It's a warning to other patrons, especially those with senior family members, to be vigilant and not fall victim to unethical behavior by staff. Recently, my senior mother went in to pick up a to-go meal. She's used to tapping her card to pay and was having some trouble with the payment process. A younger male staff member who as taking her order offered to assist. Instead of simply helping, he took it upon himself to press the 10% tip option and hit accept--without her permission. When she questioned him, visibly upset, he brushed it off by saying, "It's customary to give 10%, and it was only $4." That's not only presumptuous--it's completely inappropriate and, frankly, fraudulent. Rather than apologizing or attempting to make things right, he made a dismissive, under-his-breath comment. Another staff member eventually processed a refund, but by that point, my mother was so upset she chose to leave without her meal. No apology was offered. We're deeply disappointed by this experience. It's disheartening to see staff take advantage of elderly customers under the guise of "custom." Tipping is a choice, not something to be forced--especially not like this. If you visit, please be cautious and watch out for your senior loved ones. This kind of behavior is unacceptable. read more

This is fast food. I ordered the salmon medi plate with falafel and hummus. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the falafel and hummus were good. The dish comes with rice and that wasn't very good. Also the hibiscus juice tastes watered down. I would come back and try a gyro wrap next time. read more
