Steamed rice roll is amazing. I highly recommend checking out their breakfast menu. Staff is friendly, and the decor is cool to look at.

First off if this place is called Chicken Pho You then howcome I see everyone ordering the beef stew with rice? I'm a little confused since that's neither chicken nor pho. I myself went with the clear beef stew noodle soup. This dish only comes in one size but I don't think it really makes a difference since a bigger bowl doesn't necessarily mean more noodles. The beef was served in a separate bowl from the noodles and the meat was very tender with chunks of cooked daikon at the bottom. The broth here is low sodium (or at least taste that way) but it was actually a nice change to actually be able to drink the soup with the noodles. They don't serve the same pho noodles that I'm use to. It's more like the flat fun noodles that are hard to pick up with chopsticks. It may sound like I'm just complaining but I actually enjoyed my food and I felt like I just consumed something healthy after leaving the restaurant. We also had the imperial spring rolls however I had better. It tasted more Chinese than it did Vietnamese. Perhaps with this place it really is just preference but I enjoyed it for what it was. read more

Very disappointed. After reading the reviews, I thought that this would be an interesting place to try. But I was mistaken. I had the clear broth beef stew and the meat was so full of fat and tendon that I threw away most of it. My wife had the seafood noodle which had only 2 shrimp and 2 fishballs. While we were finishing our meal, a couple on the other side of the room said they found a piece of rock in their dumpling and starting complaining about it. You can tell that they are new at running a restaurant. So, I will give it a few more months and do a re-rating. Chicken pho was average. I though that would be their signature dish, but it wasn't. Turtle Tower in San Francisco or Pho Thanh Long in Sunnyvale are still my favorite for Chicken Pho. Other dishes are so-so. read more

we came here at around 6pm on sunday and it was empty at first but then it filled up. we had hot tea so the gentlemen at the table proceeded to wash everything with the tea. it doesnt hurt i guess? the place is cleaner than your typical pho place. i had the pho ga and it was decent. i also tried the beef stew and that was decent too. not much more to say read more

The seafood noodle soup generally sucks in these places but surprisingly good here with hand made fishballs and fish cake. Yum

I love the chicken Pho and the bbq pork chop here. One of the things that sucks about this place is the bathroom. It looks like the walls haven't been wiped down since the early 90's. My girlfriend says the utensils and the utensil holder need to be sterilized. If the main dining room looks this dark and dingy we wonder what the back kitchen looks like. read more

This was my first visit at this place, it looked nice and spacious, but this is no pho me, I had the chicken pho and I got Flat noodles instead! No Vermicelli in this one. Where's the side basil and the soy bean sprout salad that you usually get at other vietnamese places? The broth was very blend with no flavor, it tasted like boiled water over chicken. Initial impression, resto is really clean and simple. The small chicken pho for $6.50 a little too simple, I only had a tiny mouthful of chicken and the broth was blah, best part about this pho was the hoisin sauce. So this place is definitely not pho me. read more

I disagree with Natalie l. she is wrong about the chicken pho there lol. It not even close to Turtle Tower in the lovely Tenderloin. Its decent chicken pho but good because the peninsula doesn't really have any good pho places. They do have good free range chicken and if you want Zhongshan dishes they make some of those too. read more

I think everyone else has the same idea of coming here when Ben Tre was closed. I got the Vietnamese beef stew noodles and it was very bland. However, it did become enjoyable after I added a bunch of other stuff to enhance the flavor. My boyfriend on the other hand got the chicken noodle soup and that was rather nice although we've also had better elsewhere. I think overall we had just an okay experience and do not plan on returning. read more

The line to sit down wasn't too long but ordering the food and having the food brought to our table was painfully long. There are two waitresses busing tables for the entire restaurant during lunch hour. The noodles aren't as good as Turtle Tower but I dont think I will be back. read more

Chicken pho you is my regular. I usually come here for dinner. My go to's here would be the Chicken pho (large), or number 24 the pork chops with shrimp cake with an egg over rice. Also the seafood pho is good too, but I always add chicken to it. They also have a variety of drinks for .99 cents also. read more

Food is good and they are fast and consistent. Prices are reasonable and love their chicken noodle soup, good when its cold out which is always or when you are a little under the weather. Find us here if all the restaurant around are busy they are not bad they are also a family owned business trying to do their best. read more

I think this place was just okay, and my friends seemed to think the same thing. I got #43, which is bbq pork over vermicelli. It tasted okay, but the fish sauce seemed not as flavorful as they like them. The pho my friends ordered had thicker than normal noodles, and they said the soup wasn't as flavorful as they are used to. Portions are really big though, and it didn't taste bad at all, just a little different. read more

Soups are good and plentiful. The large size is good enough for two servings and they give you a good portion of meat. Out of all the Pho Soup places I've had, I think this place has one of the best beef balls. read more

The number 1 on the menu is the only thing I've tried here although the spouse likes the pork chop better than any other noodle shop we've been to. It's just a great flavored chicken soup. I always order the rice plate. IT'S SO YUMMY, but the portions are a little off. They give you a lot more rice than is necessary for the amount of meat that they give. We were excited that a new pho place opened in our hood, but overall we were disappointed. We had the beef pho and spring rolls. The spring rolls were filled with lettuce, vermicelli, grilled pork and shrimp. Authentic spring rolls should be filled with boiled pork tenderloin sliced thin, with shrimp, a bit of vermicelli, and a variety of lettuce and fresh herbs, always with a sprig of chewy chinese chive. Filling the spring roll with grilled pork (this restaurant and the Vietnamese one down the street also does this) overpowers the roll. The dipping sauce was too much hoisin, though the generous smattering of crushed peanuts on top was nice. As for the pho, they do it northern style with wide pho noodles, and they blanch the bean sprouts (northerners find the raw sprouts too jarring). The portions of noodle and meat were generous (except they skimped on the tripe), if you're looking for quantity. What sealed the deal on this two star rating was the quality of the broth. It had absolutely no depth to it, disappointing for a place based on pho. Pluses--it was clean, minimal modernish decor, and service was pleasant. I've been here maybe twice and have only had the chicken Pho. I usually have to be in the mood for chicken pho since it's not as hearty as the large beef Pho's I usually get. That being said I enjoyed my meal. I have to go back and try the Jung's like someone else said to do, and maybe even try the beef pho. I like the thick rice noodles, which my vietnamese friends say is northern style. read more

At first I was a little taken back by the look of the menus and how dirty and torn up they were but when the waitress greeted us with a warm smile, all of that seem to fade away. Its official, I'm addicted to their chicken noodle soup with large flat noodles. Wow, is it tasty! No MSG! Love it! They actually boil chicken bones to get that amazing flavor. You can find me here at least once a week for lunch or dinner. It's not fancy, but I'm not paying for fancy. I'm paying for dam good home style noodle soup Oh, I love their fresh spring rolls too. The small size is more than enough for kiddos. The large size bowl of soup is probablby enough for two no-too-hungry-adults. Their sliced BBQ pork over rice is pretty darn good too. Service is always great. They are very kind, attentive etc. I always order white meat only to avoid any fatty pieces. They get it right every time. Thanks ladies! Minus 1 start because the bathroom seems to be in disarray almost every time I go in there.
