So I've been going to Chicken Salad Chick for a while, as a treat myself meal I use to love it. As someone who suffers from chronic migraines, I really have to be mindful of where and what I eat. So I decided to get Chicken Salad Chick tonight , I search on their website for a recipe list and no sign of MSG. I only thought about it because I have been getting migraines (occular) and I'm trying to narrow down what places have what that is not openly disclosed to the public. So I looked at the list of ingredients no sign of MSG, on the website nothing. Went out the drive thru placed my order for Kickin' Kay Lynne and 5 minutes down the road I got home and just called to make sure. I mean it wasn't on the menu board so I'm pretty good right. I called to ask if any of their chicken salads have MSG because it was not disclosed on the menus or on their website. The person answering the phone told me yes their chicken salads contain MSG. I advised her that MSG is a migraine trigger and it should be disclosed and she told me oh well. I asked if they had a chicken salad that didn't have MSG and can I just turn around and get it or get my money back, she said No. Once the chicken salad leaves the store you can't come back and get a refund or an exchange regardless. It was very discouraging to discover that they would not disclose that they used MSG in their chicken salad. It's not on their site or at the store and that they would not refund my money or at least try to provide me with the chicken salad that didn't have MSG. Needless to say that will be the last time I go to chicken salad chick. So to all my chronic migraine suffers, avoid Chicken Salad Chick, no matter what. Spread the word!! read more

Horrible service today. We ordered a family pack for 6 that supposedly included a brocoli salad and 6 bags of chips. We ordered a gallon of lemonade also. When we pulled up to pick up the order, the person at the window had us repeat our name 3 times. We had to wait in the parking lot for 10 minutes to get the lemonade. When we got home, the brocoli salad and the chips were missing. They couldn't put the amount back on our card when we called and they won't deliver unless it's a catering order. At this location, I experience the same awesome-ness that I experience on my visits to the Hillcrest restaurant, but it's notably busier in these parts. Parking during the lunch rush can be a bit of a bear, but definitely worth it! The restaurant is clean, the staff is overly helpful and great in making suggestions, and the little sugar cookie that they throw in with every order is simply the BEST! Simple and delicious! Tons of variations on chicken salad- I love the spicy ones! I always do "the Chick", you can get a scoop on lettuce or a sandwich, and a side salad, soup or another scoop of chicken salad. The seasonal salad is always fresh! The staff greeted me with a smile and could tell I was torn on what to order and confused in the process, so they clarified and also gave recommendations to help me. I settled to order the Classic Carol chicken salad sandwich, which consisted of all white shredded chicken, minced celery, mayonnaise, & their secret seasoning. It was good and very smooth served on delicious toasted bread with lettuce and tomato followed by a side. I got the broccoli salad, and it was pretty good-not too heavy! Food was timely and brought to me within 5 minutes of ordering, and they even included a nice sugar cookie, which is complimentary. A great place. Chicken salad is chicken salad, it's hard to mess up but if you're on the go and want something a little better for you than $1 cheeseburgers stop in. The fruit in their grape salad was great, ripe, and exactly how it should have been. The potato soup comes topped with bacon bites and cheese and it served with plenty of crackers.
