Sich a horrible experience after my treatment. I had a bad reaction on one part of my body and requested a refund for the unused coolsculpting treatments because I had a bad reaction / very painful / scar tissue / swelling. long long story. on the phone Mireille the owner said give me a few weeks we are a small company to get me the refund. Then on an email said basically no you're not getting a refund for the unused treatments since you started them. I cried for two weeks with the pain and looked disfigured and so bloated. how could I go back and continue the treatments? I want my refund for services NOT YET provided. is that so bad ? to boot I've known this woman for years ! I feel manipulated and robbed. UPDATE TODAY:Awful experience with coolsculpting . Three weeks later I still have pain, swelling and scar tissue. I had to see a doctor and a lymphatic therapist which I am still seeing now. Traumatic experience. UPDATE: as of 4/17- still going for treatments and submitted a complaint to the BBB. Unprofessional manipulative and rude. Money hungry is a given. read more

My overall experience at Chic Med has been pleasant. Mireille and the rest of the staff are very knowledgeable, professional, and personable. I have to admit I was nervous about getting my first chemical peel, I expressed all of my concerns to Mireille, and she took the time to explain the process and put my mind at ease. She is very patient and sweet with all of her clients. I now regularly get customized PCA chemical peels and their signature facials. I've seen improvement in the texture and the overall complexion of my skin. They customize services to address your needs and desired results. I would recommend that you book way in advance, the spa is pretty busy therefore they try to accommodate you the best way they can. I have seen several reviews about unresolved hyperpigmentation. I want to stress that diligent sunscreen use is the only way to prevent further pigmentation post-treatments. read more

I have been coming to ChicMed for several years with a pandemic interrupt included for several treatments including laser hair removal, microdermabrasion, HydraFacial and CoolScuplting. Every time my experiences have been very good and top notch. The facilities have always been clean and the technicians have always been meticulous They just moved to new facilities just a few doors down on Moody St that are clearly more spacious, and the only differences that I have been able to spot are brand new ceiling tiles and technicians no longer having to run out to turn on the AC. Regardless, at every visit, I felt very comfortable, private, clean and hygienic. My laser hair removal treatments have been very effective and the staff has always advised me on proper pre-care and after care, always asking about any interfering medication use and helping me reschedule my treatments when they suspected excess sun exposure. I have always felt safe and trusted in the hands of the technicians handling some of my most intimate areas. I've never felt rushed or that the staff was short on time. My CoolSculpt treatment was gentle and very low pain and administered with great care and I am looking forward to going to the next one. The microdermabrasion treatments have always been wonderful, but lately I have gotten two HydraFacial treatments and they have been the bomb. Wow, I walked out glowing on the outside. I always walk out glowing on the inside from the warm approach of the technicians. When I started my laser, I was advised by one of the women that own the business, and their advice was spot on and I am so very glad that I took this place up for laser hair removal. I will start by saying all of the positive reviews about customer service are completely accurate! Whenever I called or emailed with a concern I always received a prompt response and answer that put my worry at ease. Also, the women who did my treatments were always friendly and helpful. But unfortunately, I did not see the results I wanted to see concerning my hyperpigmentation. I know results don't happen overnight so I invested in one microdermabrasion, three PCA chemical peels, one VI chemical peel, and three PCA skincare products to use daily. My texture smoothed out a little but my dark spots didn't fade significantly. I know everyone has different results and since I have melanated skin the results I wished for are even harder to achieve. I just wrote this review as a caution to POC who face similar problems. read more

Went back here yesterday after not going for two years and can't say that I am happy. I used to see Lee-Anna who left a while back but she referred me to see Kaitlin. I stopped in a few weeks ago and booked an appointment with her but when I went in yesterday I was told I was seeing Katrina instead. Katrina told me Kaitlin isn't seeing new clients which is fine, but why was I allowed to be booked with her to begin with if that were the case? Katrina did a good job with the dermaplaning and I would've be happy to see her again (if I originally booked with her) but I'm just a little annoyed with the miscommunication and that's enough for me not to come back here. As someone who is an office manager of a medical facility, I would NEVER schedule a patient with another provider that wasn't their own without their permission. read more

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this place. I have had 4 separate treatments there, and every one of them have been amazing. Both women that work there are very friendly and helpful, and I have had treatments done by both of them. They are incredibly patient in answering tons of questions, and they both have many years experience in this field. I also want to mention that they are very flexible with their schedule and conveniently will email or text a reminder for an upcoming appointment (great for forgetful me!) They do offer botox treatments as well, but on a very limited basis. Another woman comes in specifically to do botox once or twice a month. I recommend the photo-rejuvenation treatment, which removes hyper-pigmentation from the face, I am so happy with my results! read more

I came in for a microdermabrasion/facial with extraction. I actually came in with my mind mostly made up that I would sign up for the membership due to all the reviews I read. Unfortunately while the overall experience was nice and Nicole was very pleasant both throughout the microderm and facial, my main concern was my pores and the extraction was not to my satisfaction and I ended up coming home and doing some of my own extractions. I was disappointed as I even asked if she got everything because very small amount of time was dedicated to extraction and she said she had gotten everything. Overall it was nice/clean atmosphere and the people were nice. I can not describe how amazing if a customer service I have experienced since posting this review. Mira reaches out to me as she stated and we spoke about my experience, what went right and wrong and my expectations. Mira was very flexible and worked with my schedule for me to come back and experience their services once again. I received two different treats from them: eyelash extensions and laser treatment and the customer services on both services were outstanding. They were very patient with me and explained everything as it was my first time ever trying both of those services. I couldn't not sign up for their membership. If I could give them a (0) I would definitely do! they approached me to do the Vellashape treatment and I got charged 5K for couple area of my concerns. The treatment did nothing for me. Absolutely NOTHING. Their machine was broken couple of treatments!!! They ignored my concern for a while and long story short I literally just flushed $5000 without ANY result. I initially visited ChicMed because I had a Groupon and thought I'd try it out... YEARS later I am still a customer! The girls are all amazing, even the owner (who is in allll the time, always so very nice) is wonderful. The space is very pretty and super clean, and the professionalism is 10/10. I go there for microdermabrasion and I couldn't imagine going anywhere else, I drive from about 30 minutes away now that I moved out of Waltham and I don't mind one bit for such an amazing experience.
