The thing about being a local is you sometimes get stuck in your ways, I am this person when it came to my favorite Thai spot. I have a go to, tried and true spot but like most of the place in town they are closed Sunday and Monday... so I had to try somewhere else. What a blessing in disguise I was forced to try this place! I've been seeing rave reviews and pictures of their cute little ice bears for a while now and it totally lives up to the hype! A bunch of friends shared multiple plates and appetizers and nothing missed. Their spice level is right too, some places it's really all over the place but here I would expect what it says: hot is HOT, mild is mild, so on. Naturally I can't abandon my original spot but am certainly going to have to start balancing the two. I will say I like the actual space of this location the most, the dining room big and open and doesn't feel cluttered or too hot. Service is also friendly but could have been a bit more prompt with our refills, perhaps that is our own fault for the spice level we requested. Can't wait to come back! read more

Chicken thai fried rice: super hot and fresh. Carrots are a lil tiring to chew. Chicken is flavorless, thin and dry. As expected, thai meat tend to be on the dryer side. But isnt bad thanks to the decent tenderness. Overall Nice large portion. Cute flower shaped carrot. Ok, on to the hard part, the flavor. Theres no good way of saying it. Its mid, not bad mid not good mid, just middle. Its not so bland that its bad but nothing noticable about the flavor either. Cilantro flavor comes through (not in a bad or good way, just noting) Gotta love the portion size tho, going home full. Extra Didnt know about the teddy bear shaped ice and heart shaped rice but didnt get neither Came at awkward time, right when the one only other waiter started taking orders from an about 8 people table. So just waiting to get seated. Came on Monday labor day 6:40 pm super busy and slow The booth chairs are connected so when someone sits or moves on the other side, u can feel it Waiter lady has an accent and also cant listen well. Lots of people ordering take out Lots of reserved seats Finally got to order, and the guy speak and listens better english and apologized for the wait. Took about 20 min between getting my seat and taking my order. Asked for recommendation and the guy recommended panang curry (does not come with rice), pad see ew, beef pho, thai fried rice Maybe shouldve bit the bullet with expensive curry. Vibe was cool, didnt know this place opened up recently and super hyped. Fried rice was large and decent flavor. Wait was pretty bad but its on me for coming at this time. Absolutely BEAUTIFUL presentation, delicious food. Been here several times, and it's one of my 5 go-tos in Chico. Really love their pad thai with duck (every time), Tom Kha soup (some of the time), chicken satay (every time), Thai Iced tea with the ice bear (SWOON - I get every time)... There are more, but these are the ones that come to the top of my head immediately. I've brought my 9-12 month old here and they were very welcoming. The service is always friendly and amazing in general, but it's always special to feel comfortable when your baby is going to inevitably make a mess or be a bit noisy (they also wouldn't let me clean up the floor, which was so nice to not have to worry about when juggling everything as a new mom even though I would not have minded tidying). Their take-out presentation and quality is also top tier. Really love this place. read more

They have only been open since Monday! I'm so glad I stopped here it's delicious and such a chill vibe. Nice music at a low level beautiful scenery playing on TV and people who love to cook! After living in LA and being blessed with the food in Thai town I have high standard! This place does good Thai and has the vibe! Laid back service is cool too - not high pressure which is nice we were able to sit and enjoy some time just hanging out enjoying the windows and atmosphere Pad Se Eew with pork Loved that there were other veggies like the cute carrots and some mushrooms! Flavor was on point and delicious. Tom Kha soup with chicken Great broth flavor and the veggies were nicely cooked. The presentation with the pot on the awesome fire is such a nice touch! Okay let's talk about the heart shaped rice! the little touches can make a big difference especially if it tastes good! Thai iced tea - yummy yummy! And let me say the frozen bear is so great sitting there all cute!! But he tastes amazing too - I saved him for last and he was a delicious frozen thai tea bear!! Yummy! And Togo we are taking home Mango Sticky rice! Such a beautiful presentation and love that the coconut sauce is in a little cup so that it all stays fresh!! The restaurant was well-appointed with nice booth and table seating. It has a near bar area, and it's also very clean. We ordered an iced coffee, and it came with a frozen coffee bear! First time here the food was excellent...hot, tasty and properly cooked. Last night 3 ofthe 4 dishes were dry and tasteless. The beef and noodles was great. The chicken and pork dishes consisted of little slivers of meat cooked beyond recognition. All 3 tasted the same. Wow, what's not to say. Re-imagined restaurant location has a wonderful new owner and amazing food! Only open 10 days they are hustling. Lots of take out and plenty of groups dining in. We were a party of four and we definitely made our mark. Pot stickers, chicken satays, crispy tofu, pad Thai, basil chicken, and rice. It took awhile to get our order in, but once we did food arrived with a nice flow. Flavors, portions - all five star. Sauces were amazing, too! This was my 3rd visit. We went with family to celebrate. The Thai tea with the little frozen tea animals were adorable as usual. We had crab rangoons, roti and soft shell crab appetizers. All great but, the soft shell crab was so delicious. The sauces for each were well paired and delicious. I had pad see ew, octopus salad and the orange chicken. Each were delicious but, I will dream of the orange chicken. The breading was delicious and not over fried and starchy but cooked to perfection. The orange sauce was light, not too sweet and so filled with orange flavor served over a bed of vegetables lightly steamed as to life the chicken out of the sauce and keep it from getting soggy. Serves was attentive but not hovering. I can't wait to go back. It's a new favorite. read more

I don't live in Chico but come here sometimes to visit family. That being said, as a vegan of 9 years it's pretty hard to find good vegan food in Chico. I tried Chico Thai cuisine on a whim today and called ahead to verify they could make it vegan. I have had some pretty lack luster experiences in Chico when it comes to vegan food having flavor. That is not the case here! The food was prepared quickly. I ordered their drunken noodles and Thai tea with coconut milk. I ordered medium spice and as someone that can handle spice relatively well, it was spicier than I was expecting (or wanting it to be, but I'm used to saying spicy other places and it not having too much spice so I ordered it medium as a precaution) the flavor overall is great, just if you don't like spicy beware and order is less spicy than you normally would! I would definitely eat here again. read more

When you first walk in there is a nice open dining area. Very open you can even see the window to the kitchen. Very nice colors kinda a darker kinda ambiance. The workers were very nice, fast service and the food was hot. Checked on at least three times making sure we were good. I got the coconut shrimp as an appetizer and beef pho for the entree bc it was a cold day outside. The shrimp was very good, nice crunch and coconut flavor to it. The beef pho was very pleasant and warm. Tasted really good, probably best in chico based on what I've had. Also got the Thai Tea, and I very much recommend that. VERY DELICIOUS and it even came with a cool like ice bear. Finished off with some mango sticky rice for desert. The rice was very warm and the mango was sweet. Very delicious dish. The overall presentation of each dish was fantastic and beautiful. I would definitely recommend going here for a nice Thai experience. Will definitely be visiting again. read more

The presentation was so beautiful as well! They really pay attention to detail here. The staff were kind and accommodating. Will be back! What I ordered: Fresh Spring Rolls: Amazing. So fresh. The added herbs really bring a lovely flavor. Served with peanut sauce on the side. Chicken Satay: Always a good choice at a Thai Restaurant! The chicken skewers were perfectly savory and cooked in a yummy yellow sauce. The sweet peanut sauce & cucumber dip on the side added the perfect balance. Yellow Curry: Not too rich or too light. Huge menu with many choices. Hubby thought it was expensive; I thought it was priced very typical. I tried the Pad Thai, panang curry with chicken and the chicken basil. This is by far the best Thai food restaurant in Butte County, and it wouldn't surprise me if it was the best in the state. It would be easy to miss this one because it is so simple and unassuming from the outside, but the food is cooked wonderfully, and the staff is helpful, friendly and welcoming. Me and my sister heard about how good this Thai restaurant is and we had to try it out. We love Thai food and the reviews are definitely spot on! The ambiance is amazing, food is amazing, service is amazing. Might I add, the cute teddy bear ice cubes, the heart imprinted rice put the cherry on top for us.
