This is the worst situation I have ever had with a retail store and I think EVERYONE should think it over before shopping at this store. Per previous post, I went into the store and they did not have the dresses I wanted so Carolyn ordered two of the same dress for me online. But when I received the ordered there was only one dress. I called then store, they referred me to customer service. Customer service said it might be lost in the mail. So I called my store again. They noted I was short a dress. Two days later, Carolyn called me and said the reason I only received one dress is that she had given me the other dress at the store and I left with it. ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE. She never gave me another dress and I have never even seen that dress in the store. Then Carolyn began to insinuate that they had to check the surveillance camera because she is certaIn THAT I WALKED OUT OF THE STORE with the dress. I encouraged her to do that and she kept saying that she would check the cameras . I then asked her if she was insuating that I had taken the dress? She said she would check the camera. Apparently neither she or her boss Lindsay has checked the camera or they would know how wrong they are. Later, Lindsay the manager called me and I told her the events. I really wish both Lindsay and Carolyn, would look at the surveillance camera and they would see they not only owe me another dress, they owe me an apology. I have never stolen anything in my life, I am still short a dress and I do not appreciate Lindsay and Carolyn suggesting that it is resolved. I own thousands of dollars of Chicos clothes, I am one of their most loyal customers. When Lindsay apologized and said she would speak to Carolyn about it I trusted her to do so. It is true that I have told all my friends about this because they need to know that is how Chicos is now doing business. I am not one to hold a grudge and besides I love Chicos clothes. Just not the attitude at this store. Today, I thought it would be OK to go back into the store because I was of the belief that Lindsay had resolved it all. Instead of that, it was a disaster. When I came in a friend was in the store and a male sales clerk who works there saw me and he knows who I am. Obviously this situation is well known through out all the staff as he went and got Lindsay. Lindsay started out by saying that she had spoken to Carolyn and that it was just a miss understanding. Apparently NO ONE has really checked the security camera or they would KNOW that I did not walk out with a dress and they should apologize. Instead she continued to defend Carolyn . At that point the male employee went outside, and he was obviously doing something behind us through the window that got Lindsays attention as Lindsays started to laugh and then apologized that she was distracted. It becsame apparent to me that the entire staff thinks I am some sort of problem customer. I NO LONGER TRUST LINDSAY, to handle this professionally or ever make it right. Lindsay told my friend that I should not be telling others about this event. Really? All my friends shop there and they need to know that in this store, the customer is NOT right, nor is the customer first. I can not imagine how I could ever feel good about the staff or management there again. How could I ever trust them. And I am still out of a dress for $80.00. I was there most loyal, and frequent customers. But no more. And others need to know it. read more

Worst store ever with the worst customer service, especially from the manager Caroline. She needs more proper training on how to speak to customers when it comes to returns or exchanges. I had bought some pants and accidentally the tag came off. I wanted to return them cause they didn't fit. In a very rude way the manager said they can't do it, it was new. I only tried them on. I think they could've returned it but she just wanted to be rude. Don't shop here or any other Chico stores. read more

I went in and spent over $1000 in clothing. I came to bring one piece back one week later my tags had gotten thrown away, but they pulled me up in the computer and found that I had purchased it but refused to take it back or credit me or give me store credit because the tag was no longer on it. Your service worker Nicolette is very unprofessional, I had my employees go here for professional attire. They treated us as if we were Ants/Peasants. She needs to learn how to treat her clients with dignity & respect. My 2 female employees are from Russia and understand very little English! Don't belittle women with high class. when In reality I can buy the store and fire you Nicolette and send you to the unemployment line where you belong. And please stop wearing that god awful smell of perfume, it's too strong and smells like something queen Elizabeth would wear. read more

I have only been in this location once, and I wasn't overly impressed with the environment of the store. The clientele was snooty, and one older staffer ignored me. However, Nicolette came and asked how she could help me, and she helped me pick out what I was looking for. Thank you for saving me! read more

Nicolette is the absolute best! She is super friendly and always willing to work with you. She has the best style and knows how to pick things out that you wouldn't necessarily pick for yourself. Absolutely horrible customer service at this store. I just walked in to check it out, not knowing what it was. I wasn't in there a total of five minutes, but throughout that time neither of the two staff in the store said one word to me -- even though both were very clearly aware that I was in the store browsing. Not a "Hello" when I walked in, not a "Can I help you find anything?" as I walked around, not a "Have a nice day" when I left -- nothing. Not one word. Even if I had seen things I really liked at a price point I found to be really fair (which I most definitely did NOT), I would NEVER return to this location based on the customer service alone. read more

So very disappointed in the Chico's's corporate office. Left a not so glowing review due to extremely bad customer service. Was given a message answering my review and a phone number to call which I followed their instructions- they wanted to make it right. Two weeks later I still have not received a phone call from the person they said would be calling me. read more

Well,I have tried for several years but customer service at the Riverside location is horrible. I keep shopping there but I'm done...1st of all today,no one spoke when I entered nor acknowledged my presence the whole time I was there. I've been a longtime customer of Chico's and never encountered a problem. I'm a person who usually doesn't take the time to try on clothes at the store. So as a result I return items often and they have always been gracious and never has made me uncomfortable. I recently made a large purchase and they even helped me taking the items to my car because parking is a problem at this store. But that is not to the fault of Chico's. young lady named Brie, helped me that day and I am going to ask for her in the future, as I appreciate her help and honest opinions. read more

The staff pretends to be busy and doesn't help until you ask them a question, pretty condescending when recommending their overpriced and ugly clothes. Found something but not worth the price, cheap quality and not even sterling silver, $50 for cheap materials do not a good necklace make. read more

Horrible customer service. I had a $25 coupon that they refused to honor because my item was on sale - the cashier sarcastically told me that she would take the coupon if I wanted to pay full price for this sale item! The coupon didn't exclude sale items. I called the company customer service and the girl there used my coupon and ordered my item. I was contacted by the district manager who was even worse. She told me everything in the store was 30% off and I wasn't in the store on the day I was there!! When I asked for her manager's phone number she hung up on me. I wrote to Chico's and received a call from the CEO's assistant who informed me that this case was under investigation and she needed more info. They were going to review the video from the store in which case they will see who was telling the truth. I know what date I was in the store, as well as the fact everything in the store wasn't 30% off. I will never shop in Chico's again even though I've been a very, very longtime customer. read more
